LONDON, June 10 Barclays has completed the sale of its Spanish pension assets and liabilities to a unit of CaixaBank, the British lender said on Friday, as it continues to sell assets deemed non-core to its strategy.
LISBON, May 17 Banco BPI's board of directors qualified a takeover bid for the Portuguese lender by its largest shareholder, Spain's Caixabank, as "opportune and friendly" on Tuesday, even though it considers the offer price of 1.113 euros a share as low.

LISBON, April 19 Portugal's second largest listed bank Banco BPI said on Tuesday it is in contact with the European Central Bank in order to find an alternative solution and avoid having to pay a daily fine of up to 162,000 euros for its exposure to Angola.
