India's L&T gets $828 mln power equipment order

NEW DELHI, Aug 12 (Reuters) - India's Larsen & Toubro has got a contract worth 40 billion rupees ($828 million) to supply power equipment to Jaiprakash Power Ventures, the two firms said in a statement on Wednesday.

Jaiprakash Associates to merge power arms - paper

MUMBAI, June 25 (Reuters) - Indian diversified construction firm Jaiprakash Associates plans to merge two of its power units to help them sell shares worth up to 40 billion rupees ($825 million) to institutional investors, the Business Standard said on Thursday, citing unnamed sources. Jaiprakash Hydro Power Ltd and unlisted Jaiprakash Power Venture are expected to have a combined valuation of 160 billion rupees, the newspaper said.
