MELBOURNE, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Tatts Group Ltd , an Australian gaming firm, reported a 7.7 percent rise in full-year net profit on Thursday as Australians gambled some of their government cash handouts on slot machines and lotteries. Net profit for the wagering, lotteries and gaming group rose to A$277.4 million ($233 million) for the year ended June 30, from A$257.6 million a year earlier, slightly below analysts' forecasts of A$283.6 million, according to estimates tracker IB

MELBOURNE, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Tatts Group , an Australian gaming company, posted an 8.8 percent rise in first-half net profit, close to market expectations, but said growth was likely to slow in its second half. Tatts reported a net profit of A$144.7 million ($93.8 million) in the six months to Dec. 31, up from A$133 million in the year earlier period.
