Andre Bureau |
Mr. Andre Bureau is Non-Independent Chairman of the Board of Astral Media Inc. He is Counsel with the legal firm Heenan Blaikie LLP. He has spent his professional career in the field of communications and contributed significantly to the development of Canada’s broadcasting and communication industries. Mr. Bureau was Chairman of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) from 1983 to 1989. He was previously President and CEO of Cancom, and President of Telemedia Communications Inc.. Mr. Bureau was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada in 1994. He is also a Knight of the Order of the Arts and Letters (France). In 2012, he was made Officer of the National Order of Québec. |
Ian Greenberg |
Mr. Ian Greenberg is President, Chief Executive Officer, Non-Independent Director of Astral Media Inc. He has spearheaded the Corporation’s transformation into Canada’s operator of English- and French-language pay and specialty television services, Canada’s radio broadcaster and out-of-home advertiser. Since he was appointed to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, the Corporation has recorded 16 years of consecutive growth. Mr. Greenberg is actively involved in a number of industry and charitable associations, including the MS Society of Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, United Way, Centraide and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. A graduate of Harvard Business School’s, Mr. Greenberg was named one of Québec’s most influential business personalities by Revue Commerce in February 2001 and was nominated several times CEO of the Year by Les Affaires. In 2007, Mr. Greenberg received the prestigious Ted Rogers and Velma Rogers Graham Award for his unique contribution to the Canadian broadcasting system and was inducted in November 2008 into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Hall of Fame. On November 15, 2012, the Order of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame announced that Mr. Greenberg will be inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame during an induction ceremony that will take place on May 1st, 2013. |
Robert Fortier |
Mr. Robert Fortier is Chief Financial Officer, Vice President - Finance of Astral Media Inc. Having received his BA in accounting from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières in 1981, he worked for the offices of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells up until 1983, before pursuing his career in the world of hospitality and hotel management with the Western hotel chain. He then became vice president of finance with the advertising agency Léveillé, Vickers & Benson. From 1995 until recently, he held the position of vice president of finance and corporate controller at Microcell Telecommunications, Inc., a national wireless telecommunication company operation under the brand name Fido. He has held the position of Chairman of the Taxation Committee of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association and he is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Agréés (Chartered Accountants) of Québec since 1983. |

Mr. Jacques Parisien is Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Astral Media Inc. Mr. Parisien, who joined Astral in 1994, has been Group President of Astral Radio and Out-of-Home since 2004. In his new capacity, he will lead the presidents of Astral's business units in overseeing the Company's operations and more efficiently coordinating activities to seize business opportunities across Astral's media portfolio. He will remain at the head of the Astral Radio group. |

Mr. Arnold Chiasson is Vice-President - Human Resources of Astral Media Inc. Prior to that, he worked as General Manager, Human Resources and Quality Management at Armstrong World Industries Canada Ltd for over two years at their head office in Montreal. Mr. Chiasson started his professional career with Alcan Aluminium Ltd in 1974 and was with that firm for more than 17 years, until 1991. Over that period of time, various assignments gave him the opportunity to delve into most sub-disciplines within the HR function, through stays at four different plant sites in Quebec and British Columbia as well as at the head office in Montreal on two separate occasions. Mr. Chiasson has a Masters degree in education and a B.A. in economics and political science from the University of Arizona. |

Ms. Brigitte K. Catellier is Vice-President - Legal Affairs, Secretary of Astral Media Inc. After having received her degree in law at McGill University in 1988 and having been admitted to the Québec Bar in 1989, Brigitte Catellier worked for several years with the law firm Ogilvy Renault, where she was named partner. She then joined the Canadian National Railway company (CN) as lead counsel and associate secretary for the business. She stayed at CN for five years. Before joining Astral Media, she held the position of corporate secretary at Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. |

Mr. Sidney Greenberg is Vice President, Non-independent Director of Astral Media Inc. Mr. Greenberg is active in many community associations. Mr. Greenberg and his brothers were awarded the Eleanor Roosevelt Humanities Award in 1993. Among the numerous awards for his involvement in community activities, Mr. Greenberg received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame which honours those individuals who have made contributions to the state of Israel and society through sports. Mr. Greenberg received the Jerusalem Award in 2003. He sits on a number of boards, including those of Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and Polyair Inter Pack Inc. |

Mr. Greenberg began his career with the Corporation in 1976 where he worked for more than 20 years. Mr. Paul A. Bronfman is Independent Director of Astral Media Inc. He is the Chairman and CEO of Comweb Corporation. He is also Chairman of Pinewood Toronto Studios Inc. Over the last twenty plus years, Mr. Bronfman has built a group of entertainment firms dedicated to supplying production services to the film and television industry. Mr. Bronfman works closely with the film and television production industry to foster and develop new talents. Ms. Phyllis Yaffe is Independent Director of Astral Media, Inc. She was the Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Atlantis Communications ("Alliance") from 2005 until 2007. Ms. Yaffe joined Alliance in 1993, and was the Chief Executive Officer of the Broadcast Group from 2001 to 2004 and the Chief Operating Officer of Alliance from 2004 to 2005. Ms. Yaffe is the past Chairperson of the Foundation to Underwrite New Drama for Pay Television and was Vice President, Marketing of the Young Naturalists Foundation from 1985 to 1993. Ms. Yaffe is also Chair of the Board of Governors of Ryerson University and the Chair of Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (Canada). In 1999, Ms. Yaffe was selected as the Canadian Women in Communications’ Woman of the Year, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Women in Film and Television in April 2000. In 2006, Ms. Yaffe was included in the Women’s Executive Network’s list of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women and in November 2007, she was inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Broadcast Hall of Fame. |
