Hilton Howell |
Mr. Hilton H. Howell, Jr., is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic American Corporation, since February 24, 2009. Mr. Howell has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since May 1995 and prior thereto served as Executive Vice President of the Company from October 1992 to May 1995. During his tenure with the Company, Mr. Howell has also served in various capacities for the Company’s subsidiaries. He is actively engaged in key decision making of each of the Company’s operating subsidiaries and has longstanding relationships with not only the Company’s employees but a number of the Company’s subsidiaries independent agents. He has been a Director of the Company since October 1992 and, effective February 24, 2009, assumed the title of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Due to the relative size of the Company and the scope of its operations, the Board of Directors has concluded that Mr. Howell, due to his high level involvement can serve effectively in the dual role of Chairman of the Board and President and Chief Executive Officer. He is also a director, and serves as chief executive officer, of Gray Television, Inc. and was previously a director of Triple Crown Media, Inc. until December 2009. |

Mr. John G. Sample, Jr. is Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, Secretary of Atlantic American Corporation. He serverd as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Company since July 2002 and Secretary since May 2010.
