John Brouillard |
Mr. John C. Brouillard is Independent Chairman of the Board of Advance Auto Parts, Inc. Mr. Brouillard became a member of Company's Board in May 2004 and was appointed Lead Director on February 14, 2007. Mr. Brouillard served as the interim Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from May 2007 until January 2008, when he became the non-executive Chair of the Board. Mr. Brouillard retired as Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of H.E. Butt Grocery Company, a regional food retailer, in June 2005, a position that he had held since February 1991. From 1977 to 1991, Mr. Brouillard held various positions with Hills Department Stores, a discount department store company, including serving as President of that company. Mr. Brouillard also served as a director of Eddie Bauer Holdings, Inc., a multi-channel retailer, from June 2005 to May 2009. |

Mr. Kurt Schumacher has been appointed as Senior Vice President - National Field Operations of Advance Auto Parts Inc., effective August 20, 2012. Mr. Schumacher joined Advance in 1998 through Advance's acquisition of Western Auto and over the past 11 years served as an Area Senior Vice President for the Company. Prior to joining Advance, Mr. Schumacher held various roles with Murray's Discount Auto Stores, Wheels Discount Auto and Western Auto/Parts America. Among his accomplishments with Advance Auto Parts, Mr. Schumacher has led consistent results in his area and led the integration of the Discount Auto Parts stores following Advance's acquisition of the company in 2001. |

Mr. Jimmie L. Wade is Director of Advance Auto Parts, Inc. He became a member of the company's Board on September 15, 2011. She has been UPS Foundation Professor of Service Management at Harvard Business School since July 2009.
