Wendy Lucas-Bull

Ms. Wendy Elizabeth Lucas-Bull is Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of Absa Bank Limited., since April 1, 2013. Ms. Lucas-Bull has banking experience, as well as widespread as a director on company boards across multiple industries in the private and public sectors. She serves as International Partner, Johannesburg/London Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) 1978 - 1994; Executive Director, RMB Holdings Limited 1995 - 2000; Chief Executive Retail Business FirstRand Group (included First National Bank, WesBank, Outsurance, Firstlink and First National's African subsidiaries) 2000 - 2004; Director Peotona Group Holdings Proprietary Limited & Peotona Development 2004 - date. Her Current roles include: Director of Peotona Group Holdings Proprietary Limited and Peotona Development (Section 21 Company); Independent Non-Executive Director of the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Anglo American Platinum Limited, President's Advisory Council for BEE, Member of the Investment Committee of the National Jobs Fund and her Previous board roles include: Director of various FirstRand Group Companies (including Momentum, Momentum Life, Outsurance, Discovery Holdings Limited, WesBank), South African Financial Markets Advisory Board, Chairman of Business Against Crime, Telkom SA Limited.

Mr. Trevor S. Munday is Lead Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited. In the late 1980s, Trevor was appointed Finance and Commercial Director of AECI Explosives Chemicals Limited. He then served as Managing Director of Dulux Paints (early 1990s) followed by Polifin Limited (1996 to 2000). Trevor was appointed as an executive director of Sasol Limited, with global responsibility for finance and accounting, risk management, internal audit, corporate affairs and planning. In 2003, he assumed responsibility for Sasol Group’s global chemical businesses. Trevor was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive of Sasol Limited on 1 July 2005. He retired from his executive responsibilities at Sasol on 31 December 2006.

Colin Beggs

Mr. Colin Beggs is Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited., since June 23, 2010. He holds a BCom (Hons) from the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1971. He is the former senior partner and Chief Executive Officer of Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) in Southern Africa, having retired from this position in June 2009. Yolanda Cuba

Ms. Yolanda Zoleka Cuba is Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited. Ms. Cuba began her career in marketing with Robertsons Foods in 1999. She moved to Fisher Hoffman, an auditing firm, where she completed her articles in 2002. In January 2003, she joined the corporate finance division of Mvelaphanda Group Limited. Yolanda was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and, in July 2007, as Chief Executive Officer of Mvelaphanda Group Limited. Yolanda Cuba joined South African Breweries Limited as Executive Director: Development and Decision Support in September 2011.

Thembisa Dingaan

Ms. Thembisa Dingaan is Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited. Thembisa is a former member of the Trade and Industry Standing Advisory Committee on Company Law, as well as a board member of the South African Export Credit Insurance Corporation (ECIC). She is also a former member of the boards of: Royal Bafokeng Resources; Enaleni Cipla Pharmaceuticals Limited; Placecol Holdings Limited (now listed as Imbalie Beauty Limited); Nozala Investments; City of Johannesburg - Pikit Up Proprietary Limited; and the Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office (CIPRO).

Shauket Fakie

Mr. Shauket A. Fakie is Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited. He was the Auditor-General of South Africa for seven years and served as Chairman of the UN Panel of External Auditors, Secretary General for the Auditors- General Association on the African continent, and as External Auditor to both the World Health Organisation and the United Nations. He was also a member of the Audit Advisory Committee to the World Bank in Washington DC. He currently holds an executive position at MTN, responsible for Internal Audit and Business Risk Management.

Mohamed Husain

Mr. Mohamed J. Husain is Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited. He is has been an attorney for approximately 27 years, during which time he has represented a diverse range of clients in commercial and corporate litigation, insolvency law and administrative law. He is a former president and current member of the executive committee of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association. Mohamed was one of the advisors to the Constitution Assembly on the drafting of the final Constitution and has also acted as a Judge of the High Court. He is also a past president of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces.

Thoko Mokgosi-Mwantembe

Mrs. Thoko Martha Mokgosi-Mwantembe is Non-Executive Independent Director of ABSA Bank Limited. She started her career as the Product Manager for Glaxo (1989 to 1994), then Merck, Sharp and Dohme (1994 to 1996) and Telkom (1996 to 2001). She served as Divisional Managing Director of Siemens Telecommunications from 2001 to 2004. Thoko has subsequently served as Chief Executive Officer of Alcatel South Africa (2004) and Hewlett-Packard (2004 to 2008), and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Kutana Investment Group.

Paul O'Flaherty

Mr. Paul Sean O'Flaherty has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company, with effect from 1 February 2016. Mr O'Flaherty has been the chief executive officer (CEO) of ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited since 1 July 2014. He was previously the finance director and group executive for Group Capital of Eskom Holdings (SOC) Limited. Prior to that, he was in the construction industry in South Africa, Africa and in the Middle East as deputy CEO of Group Five Limited and chief financial officer of Al Naboodah Construction Group respectively. Before joining the construction industry he was an audit partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in South Africa.
