Christopher van Ingen |
Mr. Christopher van Ingen is Independent Chairman of the Board of Accelrys Inc. He has served as a director since July 2010. From March 2008 to June 2010, he served as a director of Symyx. He was President of the Bio-Analytical Measurement Group of Agilent Technologies, Inc., a bio-analytical and electronic measurement company, from 2001 to 2007. Prior to 2001, Mr. van Ingen was Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Chemical Analysis Group of Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. Mr. van Ingen currently serves as Chairman of the board of directors of Bruker Energy and Superconducting Technologies, Inc., a high-performance superconducting materials and devices company, and is a director of Promega Corporation, a provider of innovative life sciences solutions. Mr. van Ingen brings a sales and marketing experience to the Board, having held various positions with Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. With over two decades of experience in leadership positions, he offers a broad understanding of the technology industry and has the skills necessary to be Chairman. |

As a seasoned software industry executive, Pedersen brings more than 25 years of product and marketing experience, as well as a track record of building high-performance teams, to Accelrys. Most recently, Pedersen served as vice president of Siemens with global responsibility for multiple vertical markets, including automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, and chemicals industries. Prior to Siemens' acquisition of UGS, Pedersen was vice president at UGS, where he managed the company's short- and long-term overall business strategy for eight vertical industries. He was part of a team that grew UGS into a global product lifecycle management (PLM) software solutions company. Prior to UGS, Pedersen, a native of Denmark, held executive leadership positions with Vignette Corp., Novell Inc., Computer Associates, and Oracle Corporation. |

Mrs. Judith Ohrn Hicks is Senior Vice President - Human Resources of Accelrys, Inc., since March 2012. She previously served as Company's Vice President, Human Resources since 1999. Mrs. Ohrn Hicks originally joined Accelrys in 1993 and has held a variety of human-resources-related positions during her tenure with Accelrys.
