Biographies

Name Description

Christopher Pointon

Dr. Christopher Richard Pointon has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of African Eagle Resources PLC., effective April 24, 2012. Dr. Chris Pointon has over 40 years experience in the resources industry and a track record of building and managing new organisations in a diversity of cultural environments, including Asia, Australia, South America, South Africa and Europe. During his career Dr. Pointon has worked in mineral exploration, business development and operations for Rio Tinto, Billiton, Gencor and BHP Billiton. At BHP Billiton he led the Stainless Steel Materials division for six years, building it into one of the global nickel and ferrochrome producers. This business included Samancor Chrome, the second ferrochrome producer based in South Africa, of which he was Chief Executive Officer. He was a member of BHP Billiton’s Executive Committee from that company’s formation in 2001 until his retirement in 2006. Dr. Pointon is a Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Ruukki Group plc, and is a consultant to private equity investors.

Trevor Moss

Mr. Trevor Antony Moss has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of African Eagle Resources PLC., with effect from December 1, 2011. He has over 30 years of experience in the international mining industry. Mr. Moss is a corporate and project development executive who has worked for mining companies such as Barrick, Newmont and Cyprus Amax, and with emerging producers including Tiberon Minerals and Gabriel Resources. Prior to joining African Eagle, he was responsible for the construction, completion and start up of the Bisha mine in Eritrea, as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Canadian TSX and AMEX-listed Nevsun Resources Limited. Mr. Moss has held directorships and corporate officer positions in several public companies and the positions of CEO and director in a number of private companies. Currently, he sits on the board of FGBI LLC, a private US resource company, and is director and president of HAWM Consulting Inc. He is a registered engineer in the US State of Arizona and holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University and an Honours degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bradford in the UK.

David Newbold

Mr. David Ronald Newbold is the Chief Financial Officer African Eagle Resources PLC. He has 35 years experience in the natural resources industry, with over 20 years of those specifically focused on international mineral resource development including financing initiatives, mining, processing and marketing of base and precious metals in the UK, North and South America, Europe, Australia and the Far East. He has held a number of executive and senior positions at Compañia Minera Zaldívar (as an executive board director), Placer Dome Inc., Outokumpu Oyj, Mercury Resource Consultants LLP (as a managing partner) and Greystar Resources Limited (renamed Eco Oro Minerals Corporation in August 2011). During his time as CFO at Greystar Resources Limited, Mr. Newbold was responsible for the strategic design of a financing package, embracing debt, equity and strategic partners, to fund a US$1.4 billion gold project in Colombia. Mr. Newbold spent 11 years of his career at Placer Dome Inc. Prior to this, he has also held the positions of President and CEO of Compañia Minera Zaldívar SCM, a copper operation in Chile, and CFO of Placer Dome Latin America S.A. Mr. Newbold is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) from the University of East Anglia, England.

Julian McIntyre

Mr. Julian Alexander McIntyre serves as Non-Executive Director of African Eagle Resources PLC. He is the founder of MWB Capital, a private investment company focused on investing in credit and equities. He has a proven track record as an entrepreneur and investor, with broad experience in acquiring, financing and selling businesses. Mr. McIntyre was the founder and controlling shareholder of Gateway Communications Group, a pan-African telecommunications business that operated in over 40 African countries and was ultimately sold to Vodacom in 2008. Mr. McIntrye has previously held senior positions in the financial markets divisions of Deutsche Bank and Chase Futures. He is also a Non-Executive director of Ambrian Capital plc.

Donald Newport

Mr. Donald Macfee Newport has been appointed as Non-Executive Independent Director of African Eagle Resources PLC., effective January 26, 2012. Mr. Newport is a veteran of the London mine finance industry with over 35 years of experience in the banking sector, 23 years of which were spent exclusively in the mining and metals sector. After managing the Barclays Bank Metals & Mining Team, Mr. Newport went on to lead the global mining finance department of Standard Bank, establishing a portfolio of transactions in challenging emerging market situations, including Central Asia and the FSU, China, Africa and South America, as well as North America, Europe and Australia. Currently Mr. Newport is a Non-Executive Director of Wolf Minerals Limited.

Paul Rupia

Ambassador Paul Milyango Rupia has been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Director of African Eagle Resources Plc., with effect from 27 July 2012. He is an internationally known and well respected Tanzanian statesman withover 49 years’ experience in the Tanzanian public service. He twice represented Tanzania as Ambassador to the United Nations, was Ambassador to Ethiopia and Deputy High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and also served his country as a Member of Parliament, Chief Secretary to the President’s Office, Secretary to the Cabinet, Head of the Civil Services and Principal Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ambassador Rupia holds the Order for the United Republic and resides on various charitable boards including Chairman of DCB Commercial Bank PLC, Chairman of the Britain- Tanzania Society and St John’s University of Tanzania.
