Name	Description
Jay Schottenstein	Mr. Jay L. Schottenstein is Independent Chairman of the Board of American Eagle Outfitters Inc. He served the Company as Chief Executive Officer from March 1992 until December 2002 and prior to that time, he served as a Vice President and Director of the Company’s predecessors since 1980. He has also served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Schottenstein Stores Corporation (“SSC”), a private company, since March 1992 and as President since 2001. Prior thereto, Mr. Schottenstein served as Vice Chairman of SSC from 1986 to 1992. He has been a Director of SSC since 1982. He has also served as Chairman since March 1992 and as Chief Executive Officer from July 1999 through December 2000 and from April 1991 through July 1997 of Retail Ventures, Inc. (“RVI”), a company traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Schottenstein also served as Chief Executive Officer from March 2005 to April 2009 and as Chairman of the Board since March 2005 of DSW, Inc., a company traded on the New York Stock Exchange. He has also served as an officer and director of various other corporations since 1976. Mr. Schottenstein also serves on the Board of Directors of DSW, Inc.
Robert Hanson	Mr. Robert L. Hanson is Chief Executive Officer, Director of American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. since January 2012. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hanson served Levi Strauss & Co., from 1988 to 2011 in a variety of important leadership roles across multiple brands where he led cross-functional teams, including merchandising, product development, multi-channel operations, marketing and creative teams, in addition to a full support staff. Roger Markfield	Mr. Roger S. From February 2007 to February 2009, Mr. Markfield served as a non-executive officer employee of the Company. Mary Boland	Ms. Mary Boland has been appointed as the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of American Eagle Outfitters Inc., effective July 9, 2012. Ms. Boland joins the Company from Levi's, where she served as Senior Vice President Finance of Global Levi's from 2011 to 2012 and as Senior Vice President Finance of the Americas from 2006 to 2011.
