| Vuursteen, Karel | Mr. Karel Vuursteen has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Akzo Nobel N.V. since February 24, 2009. He was Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Akzo Nobel N.V. from May 1, 2006 to February 24, 2009. He was first appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2002 and his term of office ran until 2010. He holds a Masters degree in Agriculture from the Wageningen University. He is former Chief Executive Officer of Heineken. He is Deputy Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of Heineken Holding, Member of the Supervisory Boards of ING Group, TomTom NV and Henkel AG (Germany), as well as Member of the Advisory Board of CVC Capital Partners Nederland. Mr. Vuursteen is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and Member of the Nominating Committee. |
| Wijers, Hans | Mr. Hans G.J. Wijers has been Chairman of the Management Board of Akzo Nobel N.V., responsible for Coatings and Chief Executive Officer since May 1, 2003.
