Biographies

Name	Description
John Daane	Mr. John P. Daane is Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Altera Corporation. He joined as President and Chief Executive Officer in November 2000 and was elected as one of Directors in December 2000. He was elected Chairman of the Board in May 2003. Before joining the Company, Mr. Daane spent 15 years at LSI Logic Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturer, most recently as executive vice president, communications products group, with responsibility for ASIC technology development and the computer, consumer, and communications divisions.
Ronald Pasek	Mr. Ronald J. Pasek is Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Altera Corporation, since December 2009. Before joining the Company, Mr. Pasek served as vice president and corporate treasurer of Sun Microsystems, from February 2008 to December 2009. He held a variety of other positions in finance at Sun Microsystems over a 19 year period, including vice president of worldwide field finance, worldwide manufacturing finance and U.S. field finance.

He was with National Semiconductor for 18 years in positions including vice president of sales and marketing for Japan, vice president of worldwide marketing, as well as a variety of marketing and engineering management roles in analog and microprocessors. Prior to his time at National Semiconductor, Mr. Waters held positions in management consulting as well as in research and development. Mark Nelson	Mr. Mark J. Nelson is Senior Vice President - Worldwide Sales of Altera Corp., since August 2012. He joined the Company in March 2004 as as vice president of worldwide channel sales, and throughout his eight years with the Company has held several key management roles, most recently as vice president of sales, EMEA. Prior to joining Altera, Mr. Nelson held sales and marketing management positions with LSI Logic Corporation.
Kevin Lyman	Mr. Kevin H. Lyman is Senior Vice President - Human Resources of Altera Corporation, since February 2011. Arthur Bowman	Mr. Arthur Blaine Bowman has been appointed as Independent Director of Altera Corp., effective July 30, 2012. Mr. Bowman previously served as President, CEO and Chairman of the Board of directors for Dionex Corporation, a maker of chromatography separation technologies, acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific in 2011.
