Michael Splinter |
Mr. Michael R. Splinter is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Applied Materials Inc. He has been Chief Executive Officer of Applied since April 2003 and Chairman of the Board of Directors since March 2009. Prior to joining Applied in 2003, Mr. Splinter was at Intel Corporation, a manufacturer of chips and computer, networking and communications products, for 20 years. While at Intel, he held a number of executive positions, including Executive Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing and Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Technology and Manufacturing Group. Mr. Gary E. Dickerson is President of Applied Materials, Inc., since June 2012. Mr. Dickerson was Chief Executive Officer and a director of Varian from 2004. Upon joining Applied in June 2006 and until January 2011, Dr. Nalamasu was an Appointed Vice President of Research and served as Deputy Chief Technology Officer and General Manager for Advanced Technologies Group. From 2002 to 2006, Dr. Nalamasu was a NYSTAR distinguished professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he also served as Vice President of Research from 2005 to 2006.
