Name Description

Kiam Lam Lim

Dato' Lim Kiam Lam is Group Executive Chairman of Ann Joo Resources Berhad. He was appointed as a Director of the Company on 11 September 1996 and as its Managing Director on 12 September 1996. He was subsequently re-designated as Group Executive Chairman on 30 June 2008. Dato’ Lim has over 30 years of hands-on experience in the steel business. During his tenure as a key member of the senior management, the Group’s business has grown and expanded rapidly. Dato’ Lim is currently the Executive Chairman of Ann Joo Steel Berhad and sits on the Board of several private companies, society and associations. He is the Deputy Honorary Treasurer of the Commerce Committee of the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and also the Deputy President of Malaysian Steel Association.

Hong Thye Lim

Dato' Lim Hong Thye is Group Managing Director and Executive Director of Ann Joo Resources Berhad. He joined the Company in August 2000. Prior to that, he was with the Assurance & Advisory Service Unit of Price Waterhouse and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Dato’ Lim was appointed as the Executive Director of the Company on 1 January 2003 and assumed the position of Group Managing Director on 30 June 2008. He was also an Executive Director in Ann Joo Steel Berhad (“AJSB”) since 15 January 2004 and move on to be its President on 18 February 2004. Dato’ Lim is the key driving force behind turning around and transforming AJSB into one of the most efficient and profitable steel mills in Southeast Asia. He was also instrumental in transforming Ann Joo Resources Group into a leading steel group in Malaysia and is the main dynamic behind the fi rst modern Blast Furnace in Malaysia. Dato’ Lim is currently the Managing Director of AJSB and sits on the Board of several private limited companies. He is the Honorary Treasurer of the Malaysia Steel Association and a Council Member of Malaysian Iron & Steel Industry Federation. Dato’ Lim holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from The University of Melbourne. He is a Chartered Accountant (CA) of The Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) of Australian Society of CPAs.

Ling Hong Loo

Sin Seong Lim

Mr. Lim Sin Seong serves as Group Executive Director of Ann Joo Resources Berhad since September 11, 1996. He is currently the Head of Group Risk Management of Ann Joo Group and Advisor for the Trading Division. His involvement and experience spanned about 40 years in the steel trading business and during his time as the Managing Director of the division, he has built a solid foundation and raised the reputation of the Group in the industry. His modern management approaches had also brought about the transformation of Ann Joo Group with adoption of modern logistic facilities and state-of-the-art computerized management system. Mr Lim sits on the Board of several private limited companies. Since year 2013, he has been the Advisor of the Malaysia Steel and Metal Distributors’ Association. He also holds the position of Treasurer of the Malaysia Hardware, Machinery & Building Materials Dealers’ Association until June 2014.

Kien Lip Lim

Mr. Lim Kien Lip has been Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Ann Joo Resources Berhad since January 1, 2016. He joined the board on June 17, 2003. He joined Ann Joo Group of Companies in 1987 and rose to the rank of General Manager/Executive Director of Anshin Steel Industries Sdn Bhd (“ASI”) in 1997. He was appointed as the Managing Director of ASI in 2000. Presently, Mr Lim is the Group Executive Director – Deputy Managing Director, Manufacturing Division of the Group. Mr Lim currently sits on the Board of Ann Joo Steel Berhad and several private limited companies. Mr Lim holds Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (major in Management) from the Central Washington University, United States of America in 1983 and obtained his Master of Science in Business Administration (major in Management) from City University, Washington St., United States of America in 1984.

Kamarudin bin Md Ali

Datuk Kamarudin bin Md Ali is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ann Joo Resources Berhad. He was appointed as Director of the Company on March 1, 2007. He serves as Member of Audit and Nomination Committees, and Chairman of Remuneration Committee since February 2014. He holds Master of Science in Engineering from University of Birmingham, UK, and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Strathclyde, Scotland. He is also a graduate of the Royal College of Defense Studies UK (RCDS). He retired from the Police Force on May 4, 2006. Before his retirement, his last position was as the Director of Management with the rank of Police Commissioner. He has over 30 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge and skills in Logistics and Finance Management, Manpower Development, Strategic Planning, Training and Development, Recruitment and Selection, Career Development and Crime Prevention gained through wide range of command posts and managerial capacities held during his tenure at the Royal Malaysia Police. He is currently a Director of ECM Libra Financial Group Berhad. a public listed company. He also holds directorships in Gabungan AQRS Berhad, Libra Invest Berhad and various other private limited companies.

Naquiyuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja'afar

Y.A.M. Tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja'afar is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ann Joo Resources Berhad. He was appointed to the Board on January 8, 2008. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Company. He is environmentalist and was a Committee Member of the World Wide Fund for Nature (Malaysia) and a Council Member of the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Geneva. An active businessman, Tunku Naquiyuddin’s interest spanned a broad spectrum uniting the Malaysian public companies through the Federation of Public Listed Companies Bhd which he founded; bridging bilateral boundaries through the Malaysia-France Economic and Trade Association which he headed for eight years; and even striving for Asia-Pacific co-operation through the Canada- ASEAN Centre of which he was a Council Member. He was nominated by the Minister of Finance to sit on the Committee of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1989 for five years. He was a former diplomat. He was also Regent of the State of Negeri Sembilan from 1994 until April 1999. Tunku Naquiyuddin is presently the Chairman of Sino Hua-An International Berhad as well as Kian Joo Can Factory Berhad. He is also a director of ORIX Leasing Malaysia Berhad, Syarikat Pendidikan Staffield Berhad and Olympia Industries Berhad as well as Global Gold Holdings Limited and Noble Mineral Resources Limited, both of which are listed in Australia. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Wales.

Hun Soon Lim

Mr. Lim Hun Soon @ David Lim is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ann Joo Resources Berhad since May 29, 2013. He is a Member of the Company's Audit Committee. He holds Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from University of Leeds, United Kingdom. Mr. Lim joined Peat Marwick Mitchell (now known as KPMG), United Kingdom in 1978. He returned to Malaysia in 1982 and continued his career in KPMG Malaysia until his retirement in 2011. He was admitted as partner of KPMG Malaysia in 1990, and was in the Management Committee from 1997 to 2001 and served on the Partnership Supervisory Council from 2002 to 2010. In 2006, he was tasked to start up the Audit Committee Institute, Malaysia (ACI Malaysia), which was a virtual worldwide initiative sponsored by KPMG to assist Independent Directors in enhancing their awareness and ability to implement affective board processes. He actively served as an examiner for Company Law examinations in the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) for over a period of 10 years. He was also the Chairman of the MICPA Code of Ethics Committee and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants Code of Ethics Committee from 2002 to 2004. Mr Lim holds directorships in public listed companies, Manulife Holdings Berhad, Sasbadi Holdings Bhd and previously in IJM Land Berhad, which was privatized in April 2015. He also holds directorships in Manulife Insurance Berhad, Affin Investment Bank Bhd, Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad and Rockwills Trustee Bhd.
