Roland Vetter |
Mr. Roland Vetter is Chief Financial Officer of Andover Mining Corp. He entered into the Mining Industry began in South Africa as Group Financial Services Director for Zimco, a Division of Anglo American Corporation. He was also a former Chairman of the Anglo American Audit Liaison Committee. He spent twelve years with Zimco before emigrating to Canada in 1998. Prior Positions have included roles of Chief Financial Officer, President and Board Director for companies such as Cardinal Minerals Inc., a producing Copper & Silver Mine in Mexico, Globtech Ventures Corp., which is involved in mining exploration in Brazil. He has diverse financial and operational ability at an executive level, including specialist skills in completing due diligence, business plans and fund-raising. His experience includes assimilating and rationalising operations as well as implementing projects, mergers, acquisitions and disposals. He has been responsible for risk management, internal controls, corporate-governance and optimising funding structures including corporate tax planning. He holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce and a Bachelors degree in Accounting Science from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of South Africa and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, Canada. |
Kent Turner |
Mr. Kent Turner has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Andover Mining Corp., with effect from January 30, 2012. Mr. Turner received his Bachelor's degree in Geology and Geophysics from Yale University and his Master's degree in Economic Geology from the University of Arizona. He is a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists and a member of the Alaska Miners Associations and the Northwest Mining Association. Mr. Turner has been actively involved in all phases of the mineral exploration business for more than 30 years. Mr. Turner spent much of his professional career with Cominco American (Teck Resources Ltd.). Mr. Turner has worked on many exploration and development projects. These include making contributions to the discovery and development of several gold, copper and zinc deposits. Examples include the Paalaaq and Anarraq zinc-lead deposits in the Red Dog District, (Alaska), the Pebble Copper deposit (Alaska), Kinsley gold deposit (Nevada), Pogo gold deposit (Alaska), Summitville gold deposit (Colorado) and the Jerrit Canyon gold deposits (Nevada). |
Gerard Booth |
Mr. Gerard G. Booth has been appointed as Independent Director of Andover Mining Corp with effect from August 1, 2012. Mr. Booth has over 40 years experience in mineral and natural gas exploration after graduating with a BSc. in Geology from Washington State University. Mr. Booth was Manager of Alaska Exploration for Cominco in the 1970's and 1980's and spent over 24 years in exploration and development with Cominco. Mr. Booth participated in the assembly of the portfolio of world class projects once held in Alaska by Cominco; these included Red Dog, Pebble, and holdings in the Ambler District. Mr. Booth as Manager of Alaska Operations led the exploration and pre-development of the Red Dog Mine in North West Alaska. The arrangement between the Nana Regional Corporation and Teck Resources Limited has created one of the zinc mines in the world and in the United States, producing approximately 73% of annual US zinc production and an important part of the Alaskan economy. Mr. Booth also served as VP Resources for the Cook Inlet Regional Corporation that is owned by the native peoples in South Central Alaska. Mr. Booth was first in the Ambler District in 1973 with fellow Andover Director, Dr. Stuart Jackson, exploring the District for Cominco. He negotiated the purchase of the Ambler properties for Cominco from Anaconda in 1985. Mr. Booth also worked closely with Andover Director, Willie Hensley, who was head of the Nana Regional Corporation during the development of the Red Dog Mine. |
William Hensley |
Mr. William L. Iggiagruk Hensley is Independent Director of Andover Mining Corp., since August 15, 2011. He attended the University of Alaska for two years before graduating with a BA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He also has an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Alaska. Mr. Hensley has devoted life long attention to Alaskan Native affairs. He spearheaded the formation of the Northwest Alaskan Native Association in 1966. He also served in positions for 40 years with the Alaska Federation of Natives, the organization that represented the 100,000 Alaskan Natives in pursuit of their land claims. These positions included Director, Executive Director, President, President Emeritus and Chairman. Mr. Hensley also helped create the NANA Regional Corporation, where over a 20 year period he has acted in positions including as a Director, Executive and President. |
Stewart Jackson |
Dr. Stewart Jackson is Independent Director of Andover Mining Corp. He is an accomplished mining professional with 49 years of experience in the exploration and development of mineral deposits and in the management of public companies. His background includes involvement in a number of resource findings including uranium oxide, molybdenum and nickel resources in Sweden, nickel sulphide deposits in northern British Columbia, Canada; gold discoveries in Washington State, USA; and zinc-lead deposits in western Alaska, USA. Dr. Jackson holds a Professional Geologist (P. Geol.) registration in Alberta, Canada. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from the University of Western Ontario, Masters of Science in Stratigraphy and Mineral Deposits from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in Stratigraphy and Economic Geology from the University of Alberta. |
