| Harder, Peter | Mr. Peter Harder has been appointed as Chairman of the Board of ARISE Technologies Corporation. He is a Senior Policy Advisor to Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. Prior to joining FMC, Mr. Harder was the longest serving Deputy Minister in the Government of Canada. First appointed a Deputy Minister in 1991, he served as the most senior public servant in a number of federal departments including Treasury Board, Solicitor General, Citizenship and Immigration, Industry and Foreign Affairs and International Trade. At Foreign Affairs, Mr. Harder assumed the responsibilities of the Personal Representative of the Prime Minister to three G8 Summits (Sea Island, Gleneagles and St. Petersburg). Mr. Harder also served as Co-Chair of the Canada China Strategic Working Group. |
| Heinrichs, Vern | Mr. Vern Heinrichs serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of ARISE Technologies Corporation. He resigned as Chairman of the Board of the company with effect from November 12, 2009. He is a businessman and a professional Engineer. Upon graduating from the University of Toronto with a B.Sc. and MBA, he worked for Shell Oil’s economics department for five years. He then joined a mortgage consulting and brokerage firm, and after five years left to join one of his clients, the Toronto based developer Orlando Realty Corporation as Executive Vice President. Since 1973 he has worked internationally. In Denver, Colorado he, together with partners, undertook the development of several residential and business parks including the Denver Tech Center. Mr. Heinrichs moved to London, England in 1991 and has been on corporate boards of eight technology based companies in Canada, USA, England, Holland and Switzerland. These companies include Specialty Technical Publishers, Intelex, Ingenuity Works, and Intertrans Logistics Solutions. |
| MacLellan, Ian | Mr. Ian MacLellan serves as Vice Chairman of the Board, President - PV Cells Division of ARISE Technologies Corporation. He has 31 years experience in sales, engineering, venture capital, acquisitions, running two public companies and is a Canadian solar energy expert. He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical University as an Electrical Engineering Technologist. He then spent ten years with Motorola, Hewlett Packard and Oracle in various technical, sales and management positions. In 1989 he founded Creation Venture Capital Corporation which made several successful investments, mostly in electronic manufacturers and then sold his interest in late 1995. In 1996, he consulted for Solar Design Associates, a world leader in solar energy and for a related company, Advanced Energy Systems where he became the Chairman of the Board. Mr. McCollam is a senior financial executive who was most recently Chief Financial Officer at Corel Corporation. Prior to joining Corel, Mr. McCollam was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nordx/CDT. Prior to joining ARISE Technologies in 2009, William ("Bill") White was President of E.I. DuPont Canada Inc., an enterprise with approximately 1,000 employees and annualized revenue of approximately $1 Billion in Canada. Mr. White joined DuPont Canada in 1974 and held a number of progressively senior management positions, including Director, Global Operations and Director, Global Marketing, Sales and Consulting Solutions, until his appointment as President in 2006. Mr. White holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He serves on the Board of Directors of MaRS Discovery District in Toronto; he is Chair of the Advisory Committee for Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University; and a Director of the Sustainable Chemistry Alliance - Canada. |
| Wolfe, Marilyn | Marilyn E. Wolfe is Vice President, Human Resources of ARISE Technologies Corporation. She brings with her more than 25 years of senior HR experience in the manufacturing technology sector. Prior to joining ARISE in 2008 she was the Vice President of HR, Global Operations at ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc., a global manufacturing automation company serving the needs of multinational customers. Marilyn is responsible for the delivery of the full spectrum of HR services including employee relations, EAP services, benefits, compensation, recruitment, occupational health and safety, as well as all practices and policies. Mr. West was managing partner for Southwestern Ontario (2001 to 2006) for Ernst & Young LLP, responsible for the accounting firm's practice in Kitchener and London. From 1986 to 2000, Mr. West was a managing partner for Ernst & Young's Toronto North office, following which he was appointed people leader in the firm's Toronto technology communication and entertainment practice. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, became a chartered accountant in 1974 and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2006. In addition, Mr. West has served an interim chief financial officer for ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. (October, 2007, to February, 2008), is a director and chair of the audit committee for a TSX Venture Exchange-listed company, BSM Technologies Inc. Mr. West has been active with a number of not-for-profit organizations, including serving as treasurer of Cambridge Memorial Hospital (2003 to 2007), as president of the Royal Canadian Golf Association (2007), president of the Ontario Golf Association (1999), former chairman of the Canadian Open Golf Championship, and is secretary of the Bayview Golf and Country Club. |
| Currie, Peter | Mr. Peter W. Currie has been appointed to the Board of ARISE Technologies Corporation. Mr. Currie began his career at Procter & Gamble Inc., in Toronto, holding progressive financial management roles in the 1970s. He joined Nortel Networks (then known as Northern Telecom Ltd.) in 1979 as assistant controller. Taking on increasing responsibilities in audit and control functions, he was appointed vice-president, finance for Nortel's Canadian operations in 1987, and vice-president and controller for the corporation in 1991. In 1992, he left to become executive vice-president and chief financial officer of North American Life Assurance Co. He rejoined Nortel in 1994 as senior vice-president and chief financial officer, a position that he held for three years until becoming vice-chairman and chief financial officer of Royal Bank of Canada in 1997. During his time at the Royal Bank, Mr. Currie, in 2003, was selected as the CFO of the Year by the annual awards program that recognizes excellence in that position. He rejoined Nortel again in 2005 where through 2007 he led the undertaking to resolve the corporation's substantial accounting, reporting and regulatory issues, provided strategic counsel to the senior leadership team and chief executive officer, and was responsible for all worldwide accounting, financial planning, treasury, investor relations, merger and acquisitions, and real estate operations. Mr. Currie holds a Bachelor of Arts (economics) and an Masters of Business Administration (marketing and general management) from York University. He is a director of Affinion Group Inc., Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd., Canadian Tire Corp. and Intelius Inc., and is a member, board of governors, executive committee, and chair, finance and audit committee, at York University, for which he also is a director of York University Development Corp. |
