Denis Brown |
Mr. Denis R. Brown is Independent Chairman of the Board of American Science And Engineering, Inc. He has been a director of the Company since April 2004 and was appointed chairman of the board in June 2008. Since 1999, Mr. Brown has been a private investor and has advised a start-up software company serving the idea management market. Mr. Brown holds a bachelor's degree in Slavic Languages from the University of California and a bachelor's degree in communications engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. |
Charles Dougherty |
Mr. Charles P. Dougherty has been appointed as President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of American Science and Engineering, Inc., effective April 8, 2013. Dougherty began his career at General Instrument, where in the 1980s he helped build one of the broadband networking businesses. When General Instrument was acquired by Motorola in 2000, he took charge of Motorola's Voice-Over IP capability and built it into Motorola's Voice and Data Solutions, a premier provider of end-to-end IP networking businesses today. In 2006, Dougherty joined Tyco International Corp., heading its $1 billion dollar wireless segment. Dougherty led the restructuring of the Tyco Electronics Wireless group that sells hardened communications technologies to public-safety agencies and first responders. Tyco Electronics divested the public-safety unit to Harris Corp. in 2009 at which time Dougherty joined Harris Corp. Mr. Dougherty received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Business Administration from Villanova University. |
Kenneth Galaznik |
Mr. Kenneth J. Galaznik is Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, Treasurer, Clerk of American Science And Engineering, Inc. He was appointed senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of the Company in March 2008. He was appointed clerk of the Company in December 2011. Prior to appointment to his current position, Mr. Galaznik served as chief financial officer and treasurer from February 2005 to March 2008, as acting chief financial officer from June 2004 to February 2005, as vice president of finance from July 2003 to June 2004, and as a financial management consultant from August 2002 to March 2003. Dr. Joseph Callerame is Senior Vice President - Science and Engineering, Chief Technology Officer of the American Science And Engineering, Inc., since March 2012. Prior to appointment to his current position, Dr. Callerame held several other positions at the Company including senior vice president, science and technology from March 2008 to March 2012 and vice president of science and technology from 2004 to 2008. Ms. Vogel was most recently Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer of Continental Airlines, Inc. She was a key contributor to Continental Airlines’ success, helping the company significantly expand internationally, address regulatory issues, and restructure and rebuild after September 11, 2001. Vogel joined Continental Airlines in 1995 as Vice President, Legal; in 2001, was appointed to General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer; and was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2003. In addition to having served on Continental Airline’s Management Committee, Diversity Council, and chairing the Ethics and Compliance Committee, Vogel serves on the National Board of Directors of the General Counsel Forum (where she was Chair in 2010), and on the Board of Directors of Clearwire Corporation, a telecommunications company based in Seattle where she is member of the Compensation Committee. |
