Mr. Stern has been a director and the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company since inception in July 1994. Mr. Stern assumed the role of Chairman in January 2009. Mr. Stern has been Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and a director of Asta Group since 1980 and held other positions with Asta Group prior thereto. In such capacities, he has obtained substantial experience in distressed consumer credit analysis and receivables collections. |

Mr. Arthur Stern is Chairman Emeritus of Asta Funding,Inc., since January 2009. Mr. Stern served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of the Company since inception in July 1994 through January 2009.
