Name Description

Gloria Garcia

Ms. Gloria M. Garcia is the Chairperson of the Board of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education for St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, from the same school. She was the Chairperson and concurrently the President of Asiatrust Bank for the period October 1981 to October 1993. She was formerly the President of the then Ideal Savings Bank, a Director of Barangay Lions Club, Quezon City, and a Director of U.S. Electronics Corp. Presently, Mrs. Garcia is the President of QCDB Investment Corporation.

Dionisio Ong

Mr. Dionisio (Dioni) C. Ong has been the Chief Executive Officer, President and Executive Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc. He received Masters in Management from Northwestern University and a combined Liberal Arts and commerce degree in Economics and Management from the De La Salle University. Prior to joining Asiatrust Bank in 1982, he was an officer of Union Bank of the Philippines, Bancom Development Corporation and Insular Bank of Asia and America.

Roland Garcia

Mr. Roland M. Garcia serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since August 7, 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from De La Salle University, attended the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Graduate School of Business, and a candidate for Masters degree in Business Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific. He has been employed with Asiatrust Bank in 1981 as Technical Assistant to the President, a position he held for 11 years and has been an Executive Vice President of the same bank for 13 years prior to his appointment as Vice Chairman. Before joining Asiaturst Bank, he was a Loan Officer of Union Bank of the Philippines and Bancom Development Corporation.

Alberto Maglaque

Mr. Alberto P. Maglaque serves as Chief Operating Officer of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since June 30, 2014. He is a Certified Public Accountant and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce Major in Accounting from San Nicolas College. Before joining the Company, he was the Vice President for Systems Division at Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company.

Isabelita Ching-Sales

Atty. Isabelita Ching-Sales serves as Corporate Secretary and Corporate Information Officer of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since March 23, 2012. She obtained her degrees in Bachelor of Arts major in Legal Management from the University of Santo Tomas and Bachelor of Laws from San Sebastian College Recoletos Manila, Institute of Law. She heads the Legal Services and Credit Support Sector of Asiatrust Development Bank. Prior to her stint at Asiatrust, she was the Head of Operations for the Acquired Assets Group of China Banking Corporation. She undertook various trainings, such as Detection of Frauds in Land Title, updates on Negotiable Instruments Law and Strategies in Debt Recovery.

Mario Lorenzo

Atty. Mario C. Lorenzo serves as a Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since November 21, 2008. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree of Bachelor of Laws in 1962 and was admitted to the Philippine Bar the following year. He also graduated with a master degree in management from Asian Institute of Management in 1978. Atty. Lorenzo served as legal counsel of various companies, including banks, investment house, credit card companies, stock brokerage firm, real estate and trading companies and semi-conductor manufacturing company. He practiced law specializing in securities, banking and corporate law. Presently, Atty. Lorenzo is also a director and Corporate Secretary of Philippine Postal Savings Bank, Prime Media Holdings, Inc. & Alcion Resources, Inc.. He is also a director of Philippine Telegraph & Telephone Corp. and Republic Telephone & Communications Holdings Corp.

Marianita Mendoza

Ms. Marianita Ouano Mendoza is a Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc. She is a physician by profession, member, Philippine Medical Association, studied a Degree of Doctor of Medicine at the Cebu Doctors’ University and graduated at the University of Visayas, College of Law, 2002, Cebu City. She served as Assistant National Vice President for Health Services, Associated Labor Unions - Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (ALU-TUCP). Her credential as a trade unionist marked her active participation in various local and international conferences/workshops on labor and women befits her appointment as Commissioner of the Social Security System in 1994 representing women in the labor sector. She was a consistent delegate in various labor and social security conferences such as International Labor Organization (ILO) (1991, 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009) and the World Congress of Labor Law (1994); 7th World Women’s Conference (1999); World Congress of Occupational Safety and Health, Madrid, Spain, April 1996. She had been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Angeles University Foundation in Pampanga and De La Salle University, respectively. Currently, she is Vice-Chairman of SSS Provident Fund Board. She was responsible for the inclusion of non-working spouses under the social security coverage. She was awarded Most Outstanding Woman in Community Service in Mandaue City, Cebu (2000).

Edgar Solilapsi

Mr. Edgar B. Solilapsi serves as a Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since October 28, 2010. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from the University of the Philippines in 1973 and earned a master in business administration from the University of the Philippines in 1981. He also took a course on Operations Research / Management Science, Fellow, Life Management, from the Institute of Atlanta, Georgia also in 1991. Mr. Solilapsi is presently the Executive Vice President for Investments in the Social Security System (SSS) where he has been working since 1989. Prior to joining SSS, Mr. Solilapsi was a Senior Actuarial for National Life Insurance Co; a Teacher for International School and a professional lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Business Administration.

Arsenio Alfiler

Atty. Arsenio A. Alfiler, Jr., serves as an Independent Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since August 25, 2011. He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration in 1965 and Bachelor of Laws in 1971. Atty. Alfiler worked as an Associate Attorney for Gonzalo W. Gonzales Law Office from 1972 to 1977; lawyer for Bancom Development Corporation from 1977 to 1982; Assistant Vice President for Union Bank of the Philippines from 1982 to 1987; First Vice President for Asian Bank Corporation from 1987 to 2000; First Vice President for AB Capital and Investment Corp. from 2000 to 2003; and Vice President for Asiatrust Bank in 2004. Presently, he is a Partner in Corporate Counsels Philippines Law Offices.

Aurora Arnaez

Ms. Aurora R. Arnaez is an Independent Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the Holy Ghost College, Manila, and Curso Superior en Espanol from San Juan de Letran "With Highest Honors". She took up graduate studies in the Universidad de Madrid as a scholar of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, finished her Diplomate in Social Security Administration, also as a scholar of the Centro Internacional de Formacion de Tecnicos in Madrid, Spain, finished the Top Management Control course at the University of the Philippines Institute of Small Scale Industries. A founding member of the Clean and Green Foundation, she was the Project Director of the Orchidarium. She is a lifetime member of the Philippine Orchid Society and Philippine Horticultural Society. She was appointed as the first lady Commissioner representing the management sector of the Social Security Commission and served for more than two terms. She was a Director of the Al Amanah Islamic Bank for five years and was the Chairman of the Bank's Board Operations Committee for three years. In 2003, President Gloria Arroyo appointed her SSS Commissioner when she was the Chairman of the Board of Bustos Water District and President of Water Boards of Bulacan, Inc. From the Social Security Commissioner, President Arroyo appointed her in 2004 as member of the Board of Trustees of the Local Water Utilities Administration and, again in 2005, after serving the unfinished term of her predecessor. She served as Trustee of the Clean and Green Foundation until its dissolution in 2008. She has been an Honorary Member of the Waters Boards of Bulacan, Inc. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Public Estate Authority/Toll Commission since May 2007 and a Trustee of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, both positions as appointee of Former President Gloria M. Arroyo. She is a director of the Philippine Waterworks Association.

Candon Guerrero

Atty. Candon B. Guerrero is an Independent Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc. He is an A.B. Economics graduate from the Ateneo de Manila University and earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the same school. Atty. Guerrero worked at the Central Bank of the Philippines as Trial Attorney in the Bank’s Office of the Legal Counsel in 1971, was chosen Model Employee for the year 1972, and rose from the ranks to serve as Staff Assistant on Non-Bank Operations, Department of Non-Bank Financial Intermediaries and Coordinating Assistant, also in the same department. He then became an Assistant Director, Acting Associate Director, and full-fledged Director in the Bank’s SES Department IV. He went on to serve as Director in the Supervision and Examination Department III of the now Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas until his retirement in 2005. He served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the CB Provident Fund for one year, and represented the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as Alternate Member of the Board of National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation from 1999 to 2004. Prior to joining the Central Bank of the Philipines/Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, he was a POLCOM Senior Inspector, Police Commission and a Law Associate at Felix Law Office. Atty. Guerrero attended various development and management training courses for executives including EDP Audit Course for Chief Bank Examiners and Officers, and World Bank/Federal Reserve Seminar for Senior Bank supervisors in Washington D.C., USA. He also attended a one-year course on Trust Operations and Investment Management at the Ateneo de Manila Graduate School as a Central Bank of the Philippines scholar. Again, as a scholar, he attended courses on Police Management and Operations, and Police Instructor Methods in Washington D.C., USA.

Pedro Lucero

Mr. Pedro V. Lucero, Jr., is an Independent Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc. He graduated at St. Louis University with a degree in BSE-Math, an MBA graduate at the University of Baguio, and attended graduate studies at Silliman University. He also attended the Advanced Bank Management Program at the Asian Institute of Management. Mr. Lucero is formerly a Financial Analyst at Bancom Development Corporation. Presently, he is a stockholder and President of Banco ng Masa, Calatagan, Batangas.

Ramon Mendoza

Atty. Ramon P. Mendoza serves as an Independent Director of Asiatrust Development Bank, Inc since August 25, 2011. He graduated from the University of the East, Manila where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree major in Political Science in 1975. He pursued a Bachelor of Laws degree at Adamson University and finished the course in 1979. He passed the Bar Exams also in 1979. Atty. Mendoza was a Legal Counsel for Producers Bank of the Philippines from 1986 to 1992; a Senior Manager at First e-Bank Corporation that provides legal services to management and operating units from 1992-2003; and from 2003 to the present, is a Senior Partner at Nitura Malabanan Lagunilla Mendoza & Gaddi Law Offices. Atty. Mendoza is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Bulacan Chapter.
