| Bush, Jonathan | Jonathan Bush has been Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of athenahealth, Inc. Mr. Bush co-founded athenahealth in 1997. Prior to joining athenahealth, Mr. Bush served as an EMT for the City of New Orleans, was trained as a medic in the U.S. Army, and worked as a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Bush obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the College of Social Studies from Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. |
| Adams, Timothy | Mr. Timothy M. Adams has been appointed as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of athenahealth, Inc. Mr. Adams' career spans 27 years in the health care and technology services industries. He currently serves in an executive capacity at Constitution Medical Investors, Inc., a health care-focused private investment firm founded in partnership with Warburg Pincus and Keystone Dental, a provider of dental health solutions. In 2008, Mr. Adams served as Chief Financial Officer of Orthofix International NV. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer of Cytyc Corporation, a women's health company that grew during his three-year tenure from $350 million to $750 million of revenue. Cytyc was sold to Hologic, Inc. for $6.2 billion in 2007. His earlier experiences include Chief Financial Officer positions at Modus Media International Inc. and Geotrust as well as Digex Inc., a pioneer in managed hosting services over the Internet. Mr. Adams also served in finance and operational roles at internet service provider GTE Internetworking / BBN Planet. | Winkenwerder, William | Dr. William Winkenwerder, Jr. has been appointed as Director of athenahealth, Inc. He is currently the Chairman of The Winkenwerder Company, a health care consulting and advisory company based in Alexandria, Virginia. From 2001 to 2007 he was the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs. Before that, he served in leadership positions at Blue Cross of Massachusetts, Prudential Healthcare, and Emory University during the course of 15 years. At the Department of Defense, he was the leader of the Military Health System (MHS) and the principal medical advisor to the Secretary of Defense. The MHS organization of 132,000 personnel cares for 9.2 million people through a national network (TRICARE) of physicians and hospitals including 70 military hospitals worldwide. He also brought many innovations and improved business practices to government, improved TRICARE and mental healthcare for soldiers, oversaw medical relief efforts for the Asian tsunami and other disasters and led preparedness efforts for a possible avian flu or biological attack. He is a graduate of Davidson College and the University Of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Winkenwerder is also board certified in internal medicine and received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business. |
