Name Description

Robert Parkinson

Mr. Robert L. Parkinson Jr. is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Baxter International Inc. Prior to joining Baxter, Mr. Parkinson was Dean of Loyola University Chicago School of Business Administration and Graduate School of Business from 2002 to 2004. He retired from Abbott Laboratories in 2001 following a 25-year career, having served in a variety of domestic and international management and leadership positions, including as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Parkinson also serves on the Board of Directors of Chicago-based Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, as Chairman of the Board of Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, and as a member of the Loyola University Chicago Board of Trustees.

Robert Hombach

Mr. Robert J. Hombach is Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Vice President of Baxter International Inc. From February 2007 to March 2011, Mr. Hombach also served as Treasurer and from December 2004 to February 2007, he was Vice President of Finance, Europe. Prior to that, Mr. Hombach served in a number of finance positions of increasing responsibility in the planning, manufacturing, operations and treasury areas at Baxter.

Sebastian Bufalino

Mr. Bufalino joined the Company in 2000 as Vice President of Global Finance for the Company’s Medication Delivery business unit. Prior to that, he spent eight years at G.D. Searle where he held various positions of increasing responsibility, and also served in various audit roles at Coopers & Lybrand from 1982 to 1993.

Todd Young

Todd S. Young is corporate vice president and treasurer of Baxter. In this role, he oversees the company's global treasury operations, including pension investments, insurance risk management, capital markets and cash management. Young joined the company in 2001 as corporate tax counsel and over the years assumed positions of increasing responsibility, including vice president of international tax, assistant treasurer, vice president of finance for the company's Asia Pacific region, and vice president of global financial planning and analysis. His most recent role was vice president of finance for the company's International regions. Prior to joining Baxter he worked as a tax attorney at Sidley & Austin. Young received a bachelor's degree in economics from Grinnell College and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.

Jeanne Mason

Dr. Jeanne K. Mason is Corporate Vice President - Human Resources of Baxter International Inc. Prior to joining Baxter in May 2006, Dr. Mason was with General Electric from 1988, holding various leadership positions, the most recent of which was with GE Insurance Solutions, a primary insurance and reinsurance business, where she was responsible for global human resource functions.

Phillip Batchelor

Mr. Phillip L. Batchelor is Corporate Vice President - Quality and Regulatory Affairs of Baxter International Inc. Mr. Batchelor served as Corporate Vice President, Quality from April 2010 to February 2013 and as Vice President for BioScience Global Operations from April 2005 to April 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Batchelor served in a variety of positions with Baxter in quality management and manufacturing.

Prior to Novartis, Dr. Hantson spent 13 years with Johnson & Johnson in roles of increasing responsibility in marketing and clinical research and development.

John Orloff

Dr. John Orloff, M.D. is Vice President, Global Head of Research and Development for Baxter BioScience of the Company. Dr. Orloff joins Baxter from Merck Serono Pharmaceuticals, where he served as global head of clinical development. Prior to his tenure at Merck Serono, Dr. Orloff spent approximately 10 years at Novartis, where he served in roles of increasing responsibility including chief medical officer for global development. Earlier in his career, Dr. Orloff supported clinical development at Merck Research Labs and was previously a faculty member at the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Orloff’s expertise in bone biology contributed to marketing approvals for treatments for a range of bone disorders, and he has led programs across a diverse range of therapeutic areas, including immunology, neurology and oncology. Dr. Orloff received an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Dartmouth College and earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine and completed a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Yale University School of Medicine.

Peter Hellman

Mr. Peter S. Hellman is Lead Independent Director of Baxter International Inc., since May 2011. From 2000 until his retirement in 2008, Mr. Hellman held various positions at Nordson Corporation, a manufacturer of systems that apply adhesives, sealants and coatings during manufacturing operations, the most recent of which was President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. From 1989 to 1999, Mr. Hellman held various positions with TRW Inc., the most recent of which was President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Hellman currently serves as a director of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Owens-Illinois, Inc. Mr. Hellman previously served as a director of Qwest Communications International Inc. and Nordson Corporation.

Thomas Chen

Mr. Thomas F. Chen is an Independent Director of Baxter International Inc., since November 13, 2012. Mr. Chen most recently served as Senior Vice President, International Nutrition, at Abbott before retiring in 2010. During his Abbott career, he served in a number of roles of increasing responsibility, primarily in Pacific/Asia/Africa where he oversaw expansion into a number of emerging markets. Previously, she held positions with increasing responsibility within the company's finance, business development, and supplier management functions. She joined Baxter in 1988 as a finance associate after graduating with a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame.
