Vincent Forlenza |
Mr. Vincent A. Forlenza is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Becton Dickinson And Co. Mr. Forlenza joined BD in 1980 and has held leadership positions in the United States and Europe. These include appointments as President of Becton Dickinson Microbiology Systems in 1996; Senior Vice President, Technology, Strategy and Development in 1998; President of BD Biosciences in 2003; and Executive Vice President in 2006, during which he was responsible for the BD Diagnostics segment. Mr. Forlenza was named President in January 2009, assumed additional responsibility as Chief Operating Officer in July 2010, and became Chief Executive Officer in October 2011 and Chairman of the Board in July 2012. Mr. Forlenza is active in various professional and community associations. In October 2010, he was appointed chairman of AdvaMedDx, a division of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) that focuses solely on in-vitro diagnostic technologies. He also serves on the AdvaMed Board. Mr. Forlenza currently serves as chairman of The Valley Hospital Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Lehigh University and is a member of the Board of Trustees at Lehigh. Mr. Forlenza obtained his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University in 1975 and his MBA from Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania in 1980. |

As GSK's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Strahlman had accountability for safety and patient matters for all programs in development and commercialized products in the Vaccines, Pharmaceutical and Consumer businesses, as well as organizational responsibility for medical affairs, regulatory affairs, clinical safety and other areas. Prior to GlaxoSmithKline, Dr. Strahlman has held executive leadership roles at Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, and Bausch & Lomb that included oversight of the development and commercialization of proprietary and generic pharmaceuticals, drug delivery systems and medical devices. Dr. Strahlman obtained her M.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, her M.H.Sc. from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and her B.A. degree from Harvard University. |
Catherine Burzik |
Ms. Catherine M. Burzik has been appointed as the Director of Becton Dickinson And Co. She is a seasoned healthcare executive with leadership experience in medical device, diagnostic, diagnostic imaging and life sciences businesses. Most recently, from 2006 until the sale of the company in 2012, she served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Kinetic Concepts, Inc., a medical device company specializing in woundcare and regenerative medicine. Her prior positions include service as President of Applied Biosystems, a DNA sequencing company, as well as senior positions at Eastman Kodak and Johnson & Johnson.
