Name Description

Yanhong Li

Mr. Yanhong Li is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of Baidu Inc. Mr. Li co-founder, chairman and chief executive officer of company, and oversees overall strategy and business operations. Mr. Li has been serving as the chairman of board of directors since inception in January 2000 and as chief executive officer since January 2004. Mr. Li served as president from February 2000 to December 2003. Prior to founding company, Mr. Li worked as a staff engineer for Infoseek, a pioneer in the internet search engine industry, from July 1997 to December 1999. Mr. Li was a senior consultant for IDD Information Services from May 1994 to June 1997. Mr. Li currently serves as an independent director and chairman of the compensation committee of New Oriental Education & Technology Group Inc., a NYSE-listed company that provides private educational services in China. Mr. Li also acts as the vice chairman of the Internet Society of China (ISC). Mr. Li has also been a vice chairman of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce since December 2012. Mr. Li received a bachelor’s degree in information science from Peking University in China and a master’s degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Ya-Qin Zhang

Dr. Ya-Qin Zhang is President of Baidu, Inc., effective Sept. 9, 2014. Prior to joining Baidu, Dr. Zhang was Microsoft Corporation’s corporate vice president and the chairman of Microsoft Asia-Pacific R&D Group for a decade, leading Microsoft’s overall research and development efforts in the Asia-Pacific region. Before joining Microsoft in 1999, Mr. Zhang was a director for the Multimedia Technology Laboratory at Sarnoff Corp. Dr. Zhang serves as an independent director and chairman of the compensation committee of Tarena International, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company, and an independent director of ChinaCache International Holdings Ltd., a NASDAQ-listed company. Dr. Zhang received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from George Washington University.

Xinzhe Li

Ms. Xinzhe Li is Chief Financial Officer of Baidu Inc. since March 2008. Ms. Li is in charge of finance and accounting. Ms. Li has extensive experience in U.S. GAAP reporting and in developing and leading finance and accounting teams before she joined us. Prior to, Ms. Li served as controller of General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC)’s North American Operations from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, Ms. Li worked at General Motors China, where she was responsible for overseeing finance functions of General Motors’ wholly owned and joint venture businesses in China from 2001 to 2004, with the last post as its chief financial officer. From 1994 to 2001, she held several other finance positions at General Motors in Canada, the United States and Singapore. Ms. Li has been serving as a director of Philip Morris International, Inc. since May 2010. Ms. Li holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., Canada and a bachelor of arts degree from Tsinghua University in China.

Jing Wang

Mr. Jing Wang is Senior Vice President of Baidu Inc. since December 2013, and is in charge of commercial products and technology. Mr. Wang is also the chairman of our Technical Strategy Committee. From April 2010 to December 2013, Mr. Wang served as vice president of engineering. Prior to joining us, Mr. Wang served as senior technical director for Alibaba from 2000 to 2001, and later as the chief technology officer of eBay China from 2003 to 2004, general manager of eBay China’s Development Center from 2004 to 2006, and deputy managing director of Google China’s R&D Institute from 2006 to 2010. From 1991 to 2000, Mr. Wang held various managerial and technical positions in silicon valley companies including Oracle, Informix, and E-Loan. Mr. Wang received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Science and Technology of China and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He later obtained his second master’s degree in computer science from University of Florida.

Hailong Xiang

Mr. Hailong Xiang is Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations at Baidu Inc. since October 2014, and is in charge of business products and sales force management. Mr. Xiang joined in February 2005 following acquisition of Shanghai Qilang, an internet services firm established by Mr. Xiang in 2000. Since joining us, Mr. Xiang has led the reorganization of direct sales force, and significantly improved the efficiency of the business process and expedited the monetization of main services and products. Mr. Xiang received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from East China Normal University.

Mingyuan Li

Mr. Mingyuan Li is vice president of the Company since July 2013. He is in charge of mobile products and operations. Mr. Li first joined in 2004. He was responsible for the early Content Management System for social content, and built and managed user product marketing operations system. From August 2010 to November 2011, Mr. Li served as vice president of product at UCWeb. Mr. Li returned to company in November 2011. Mr. Li received bachelor’s degree from Communication University of China, and an Executive M.B.A. from the China Europe International Business School.

Brent Callinicos

Mr. Brent Callinicos has been appointed as Director of the Baidu, Inc. Mr. Brent Callinicos most recently served as CFO of Uber Technologies from 2013 to 2015, where he remains an advisor. Prior to Uber, Mr. Callinicos served as Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Accountant at Google from 2007 to 2013. From 1992 to 2007, he served in a variety of increasingly senior roles at Microsoft; his last role was as Corporate Vice-President, Divisional CFO for the Platforms and Services Division. Mr. Callinicos is a CPA. He currently serves on the Board of PVH and several private companies.

Yuanqing Yang

Mr. Yuanqing Yang is Director of Baidu, Inc. Mr. Yuanqing Yang is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lenovo Group. Mr. Yang joined Lenovo Group in 1989, leading the company from its roots as a China -based PC maker to a diversified global technology leader with $46 billion in revenue last year. In 2011, Finance Asia voted Mr. Yang the Best CEO in China . In 2004 and 2012, Mr. Yang was named "CCTV China Annual Economic Figure". He was in Barron's Best CEOs list in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2014, Mr. Yang won the Edison Achievement Award for Innovation.

William Decker

Mr. William Decker is an Independent Director of Baidu Inc. Mr. Decker is a is a retired partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Prior to his retirement in July 2005, Mr. Decker was the partner in charge of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s Global Capital Markets Group. He led a team of more than 300 professionals in 25 countries that provided technical support to non-U.S. companies on SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP reporting and assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance work. Mr. Decker received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Jian Ding

Mr. Jian Ding is an Independent Director of Baidu Inc. Mr. Ding has served as a co-chairman of the board of directors of AsiaInfo-Linkage Inc., a former NASDAQ-listed company, from July 2010 to January 2014. Prior to that, Mr. Ding served as the chairman of the board of AsiaInfo from April 2003 to July 2010, and a member of the board since AsiaInfo’s inception in 1993. Mr. Ding served as the chief executive officer and president of AsiaInfo from 1999 to 2003 and as senior vice president and chief technology officer of AsiaInfo from 1993 to 1999. Mr. Ding is currently a general partner and managing director of GSR Ventures, an early stage venture fund focusing on semiconductor, internet, wireless, new media and green technology investment in China. Mr. Ding also serves as an independent director of Huayi Brothers Media Corporation, a ChiNext Shenzhen-listed company. Mr. Ding received a master’s degree in information science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Peking University in China.

Greg Penner

Mr. Greg Penner is an Independent Director of Baidu Inc. since July 2004. Mr. Penner is a general partner at Madrone Capital Partners, an investment management firm based in Menlo Park, California. From 2002 to 2004, Mr. Penner was the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Wal-Mart Japan. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Penner was senior vice president of finance and strategy for Walmart.com. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Penner was a general partner at Peninsula Capital, an early stage venture capital fund. Previously, Mr. Penner worked in strategic planning at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and corporate finance at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Penner is the vice chairman of the board of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and is also a director of Teach for America. Mr. Penner received an M.B.A. degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in international economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
