Name Description

Jean-Luc Belingard

Mr. Jean-Luc Belingard serves at Biomerieux SA as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Member of the Management Committee since July 20, 2011. Prior to that he was the Company's Chairman of the Board of Directors since January 1, 2011. He was previously Independent Director of the Company from September 15, 2006 until December 31, 2010. He was Member of the Management Board and Managing Director of Pierre Fabre from 1999 to 2001. He was then Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of IPSEN from 2001 until 2010. Mr. Belingard graduated from Hautes Etudes Commerciales (1971) and holds an MBA degree from Cornell University (1974). He currently also works as Director of LabCorp of America, Stallergenes, AES Laboratoire Groupe SA and AES Chemunex SA.

Alexandre Merieux

Mr. Alexandre Merieux serves at Biomerieux SA as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Member of the Management Committee, Director of Microbiology Unit and Director since March 31, 2011. Marc Mackowiak

Mr. Marc Mackowiak serves at Biomerieux SA as Member of the Management Committee, Chief Executive Officer of bioMerieux, Inc. From 2006, he had been serving as Corporate Vice President of Product Development and Support for Research and Development. Previously, from 2000 to 2006, he directed the development and support of Human Diagnosis worldwide for the Company, and the management of a Research and Development team of 600 people, as Executive Vice President of Research, Development and Support. Jacques Baudin

Mr. Jacques L. Baudin serves as Vice President, Commercial Operations Information Technology at Biomerieux SA since July 19, 2010. Mr. Baudin has more than 20 years of experience in the global business arena, especially in the clinical laboratory, with particular focus on Laboratory Automation, Data Management, Workflow, Processes and Information Systems. Mr. James P. Whelan serves as Executive Vice President, Commercial Services at Biomerieux SA since January 4, 2011. Before joining the Company, he was president of Clinical Diagnostics at Magellan Biosciences Inc, a privately held company specialized in rapid point of care and automated microbiology systems. From 2003 to 2007, he worked at Laboratory Corporation of America, building the group's testing services offer in several key market segments. Mr. Whelan began his career in 1980 at Fisher Scientific International (now Thermo Fisher), where he held sales and management positions for 21 years, including the roles of National Accounts Manager and Senior Vice President of E-commerce.
