Bourne, Ian Mr. Bourne is Chairman of Ballard Power Systems Inc. Mr. Bourne’s principal occupation is corporate director, and he has been the Chair of the Board of Ballard since February 2006. Mr. Bourne was also lead director from October 2005 to February 2006. Previously, Mr. Bourne was the Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer of TransAlta Corporation (electricity generation and marketing) from January 1998 to December 2006 and from January 1998 to December 2005, respectively. He has completed the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors and has received his ICD.D designation.
Sheridan, John Mr. Sheridan is President and Chief Executive Officer of Ballard Power Systems Inc. Previously, Mr. Sheridan was interim President and Chief Executive Officer from October 2005 to February 2006 at which time he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Sheridan was also Chair of Board from June 2004 to February 2006.
Cousins, Bruce Bruce Cousins has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Ballard Power Systems, effective April 6, 2009. Bruce Cousins previously served as CFO for Xantrex Technology Inc. and prior to Xantrex, was Executive Vice President and CFO for Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation. Guzy, Christopher Christopher Guzy is Vice President, Operations and Chief Technical Officer of Ballard Power Systems Inc. He joined Ballard as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer in February 2005. In January 2008, Dr. Guzy took on the additional role of Vice President of Operations. Dr. Guzy’s areas of responsibility include worldwide operations, technology research and development and product development. Immediately prior to joining Ballard, Dr. Guzy was General Manager of GE Healthcare’s product development and supply chain operations in Hungary from 2001 to 2005. He also held a number of other senior technology and product development leadership positions in GE’s plastics, lighting, and appliance business units during his 17 years at General Electric in the United States and Europe. From 1999 to 2001, Dr. Guzy served as Global General Manager of Linear Fluorescent Technology and Vice President and Director of Quality and Technology, Europe for GE Lighting. Prior to joining GE, he led a process development section at Nestlé in Switzerland. Dr. Guzy began his career as Station Director of the School of Chemical Engineering Practice and Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1983 to 1986. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University and a Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
Kumoi, Glenn Glenn Kumoi is Vice President - Human Resources and Chief legal officer of Ballard Power Systems Inc. He joined Ballard as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in June 2007. In this role, Mr. Kumoi’s is responsible for Ballard’s legal and corporate secretary functions, as well as accountable for Intellectual Property and corporate development transactions. Immediately prior to joining Ballard, Mr. Kumoi practiced law at Davis LLP in Vancouver, following 10 years with MDSI (Mobile Data Solutions Inc.). At MDSI, Glenn held a series of positions including Chief Legal Officer, and he was a member of their Senior Management Team. Before MDSI, Glenn gained nine years of legal experience working for private law firms in Toronto and Vancouver. Glenn has been called to the Bars of British Columbia and Ontario, and is licensed to practice law in both Provinces.

Nanji, Noordin Noordin Nanji is Vice President, Strategy and Development of Ballard Power Systems Inc. Mr. Nanji's responsibilities include corporate development, major business development initiatives and broader corporate strategy matters. Mr. Nanji joined Ballard as Vice President and General Counsel in December 1998. In June 1999, he was appointed Vice President, Corporate Affairs and in January 2000, he was appointed Vice President, Strategic Development. In December, 2002, he was appointed Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development. In July 2004, he was appointed Vice President, Marketing & Business Development. In addition, Mr. Nanji served as Corporate Secretary from July 1998 to November 2005 and as Chief Customer Officer from March 2006 to May 2008. Goldstein, Michael Michael Goldstein has been appointed Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Ballard Power Systems Inc, effective April 27, 2009. Michael brings more than 20 years of technology leadership experience in companies ranging in size from early-stage start-ups to General Electric. As President and CEO of Actuality Medical Inc., Michael transformed a research and development company into a respected developer of prostate cancer treatment solutions. Prior to Actuality, Michael was President of iFire Technology Inc. Michael created the focus, strategy, acquisitions, and strategic alliances that propelled iFire to become the largest North American contender for the then $100 billion dollar emerging flatscreen TV market. As Executive Vice President and General Manager of Leybold Vacuum Solutions Inc., a $100 million manufacturing division of Unaxis Corporation, he was responsible for its global growth and operations. Michael started his career with GE, where he held progressively senior positions and was ultimately responsible for the development and manufacturing of key components of NASA's Mars Mission spacecraft. Michael's education includes a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the University of Southern Illinois, and an MBA from the Wharton School. He is on the Executive of the Young Presidents Organization, and served for many years on the Board of Directors of YouthLink, a United Way funded youth crisis, counseling, and intervention agency.

Whitehead, Douglas Mr. Whitehead is Director of Ballard Power Systems Inc. Mr. Whitehead is the Chairman of Finning International Inc. (heavy equipment reseller). Previously, Mr. Whitehead was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Finning International Inc. from 1999 to May 2008. He is a member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, the Board of Governors for the Business Council of British Columbia, the B.C. Progress Board and the Board of Governors of the University of British Columbia.
