 Dr. Fabrizio Viola has served as Chief Executive Officer, Director and General Manager, Head of Internal Audit and Risk Management of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA since December 20, 2012. He has been Chief Executive Officer, Director and General Manager of the Company since May 3, 2012. He has been General General Manager of the Company as from January 12, 2012. He graduated in Business Economics from Universita Commerciale Luigi Bocconi. After serving as General Manager of Banca Popolare di Milano from September 2004 to September 2008, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna, a position he held until he joined the Montepaschi Group. He graduated in Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications and he holds Management degree from the Ecole Nazionale des Ponts et Chaussees.
