Name Description

Luc Coene

Mr. Luc Coene is Governor and Director of the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium since April 1, 2011. He holds various mandates including Member of the Board of Directors of National Accounts Institute, Member of the Governing Council and the General Council of European Central Bank, Director at Bank for International Settlements, Member of the General Board at ESRB (European Systemic Risk Board), Member of Board of Governors of the G-10, Member of the Administrative Committee and President of the Financial Committee at Carnegie Hero Fund, Member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Fulbright Fund Management Committee at King Baudouin Foundation and Minister of State. He started his career at National Bank of Belgium (NBB) in Research Department and Foreign Department (1973-1979). Then he was Assistant Belgian Administrator from 1979 till 1985. He further served as Deputy chef de cabinet to the Minister of Finance, as Visiting Scholar at IMF and as Economic Adviser DG II of EU Commission. From 1992 till 1995, he worked as Foreign Department - Adviser to the head of department of National Bank of Belgium, and as Senator from 1995 till 1999. From 1999 to 2001 he was Chef de cabinet to the Prime Minister - Secretary to the Council of Ministers. After that, Mr. Coene served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and Secretary of the Council of Ministers (2001-2003), Vice-governor of the National Bank of Belgium for 6 years as from 04.08.2003 and held Mandate of vice-governor renewed for a 6-year term starting on September 4, 2008. He holds a degree in Economics from Ghent University, 1970 and post-graduate diploma in European Economic Integration from College of Europe, Bruges, 1971.

Francoise Masai

Ms. Francoise Masai is Deputy Governor and Director of the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium since April 1, 2011. Previously, she served as Member of the Management Board and Director on the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium. She holds various mandates including Vice-President of High Council of Finance, President of Committee for research on ageing of the High Council of Finance, Member of the Management Board of EGMONT - Royal Institute for International Relations and Chairwoman of the Management Board at Observatoire du credit et de l'endettement, among others. Mr. Jean Hilgers is Director - Treasurer at the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium. He has a degree in Applied Economics from the Universite Catholique de Louvain. Ms. Sonja De Becker is Regent on the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium since May 30, 2011. She currently serves as General Secretary of the Boerenbond (Belgian farmers' union). Her functions include Member at Bondsraad Boerenbond and Dagelijks Bestuur, Member of the Administrative Board of the Boerenbond, Member of the Supreme Council of Boerenbond, President of Landelijke Rijvereniging, Member of National Administration and the National Bureau of the Rural Guilds, Member of Member and others. She is also President at SBB and Member of the Board of Directors at SBB Accountants en Belastingsconsulenten cvba, Chairman and Member of the Board of SBB bedrijfsdiensten cvba, and Chairman and Member of the Board of Aktiefinvest cvba. Before joining the Company, Ms. De Becker served as Legal and Environmental Advisor of Boerenbond. She holds Degree in Law from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Rudy De Leeuw

Mr. Rudy De Leeuw is Regent on the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium since March 26, 2007. Mr. De Leeuw currently serves as President of the Belgian Socialist Trade Union ABVV-FGTB. Mr. De Leeuw's other mandates include Member of the Executive Committee at the European Trade Union Confederation, Member of the General Council at the International Trade Union Confederation and Member of the Bureau at the Flemish Social Democratic Party, sp.a. Mr. De Leew graduated from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven as a Commercial Engineer.

Michele Detaille

Ms. Michele Detaille is Regent on the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium since March 30, 2009. From March 29, 2005 till March 30, 2009, she served as Censor at the National Bank. Ms. Detaille is a Company Director and holds a degree in International Relations, Government and Public Administration from the Universite Catholique de Louvain (UCL). Mathias Dewatripont

Mr. Mathias Dewatripont is Director of the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium since May 18, 2011. Pierre Wunsch

Mr. Pierre Wunsch is Director of the Council of Regency of the National Bank of Belgium. He further serves as Member of High Council of Finance, Member of the High Council of Finance and part-time university Lecturer at Universite Libre de Bruxelles, among others. He was previously Director of the Cellule Strategique des Finances and held various positions held within Electrabel (2004-2008), as well as Tractebel EGI (2001-2004). He was Head of cabinet of Alain Zenner, Government Commissioner to the Minister of Finance (2000-2001) and Expert at the Belgian Federal Planning Bureau (1995-1996). Mr. Wunsch holds PhD degree in Economics from Universite Libre de Bruxelles.
