Name Description
Kilman, Arie Mr. Arie Kilman was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors at BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. on January 6, 2009. He also serves as Member of the Company's Options Committee. Prior to his appointment he served as Chief Executive Officer and Director since May 2003. Mr. Kilman has also served as President and CEO of BluePhoenix Solutions B.V. since its inception in October 2001. In early 2003, Mr. Kilman drove the merger between BluePhoenix Solutions and Crystal Systems, a public company that delivers legacy migration solutions. Prior to joining BluePhoenix Solutions, Mr. Kilman served as President of Liraz, which he founded in 1984, and managed since then. From 1998 to July 2000, Mr. Kilman served as CEO of Level 8. Mr. Kilman has a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Economics, both from Bar Ilan University in Israel.
Tchwella, Yaron Mr. Yaron Tchwella has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. effective as of January 6, 2009. Previously he served as President since August 4, 2008. From 2007 to 2008, Mr. Tchwella served as President of Comverse Inc. Prior to his role as President at Comverse, Mr. Tchwella served for 11 years in various positions including, president of the Messaging Division, Member of the Executive Management Team and held various executive positions within product, delivery and customer-facing roles. Prior to joining Comverse, Mr. Tchwella held engineering and managerial posts for over 13 years at Advanced Technology Ltd., known today as Ness Technology Ltd. Sagiv, Varda Ms. Varda Sagiv became the Chief Financial Officer of BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. in June 2007. Between the years 1998-2007, Ms. Sagiv served as the CFO of Formula Ventures Ltd, a venture capital funds company in the IT and communication arena. For different terms during 1997-2007, she also served as the Chief Financial Officer of several fast-growing subsidiaries of Formula Group such as Airports Intersystems Technologies Ltd., Clockwork Solutions Ltd., and Transtech Control Ltd. In addition, Ms. Sagiv served as a Chief Financial Officer of Jewelex Ltd., an Israeli publicly-traded company, and as an Auditor Manager in the accounting firm Goldberg & Co. Ms. Sagiv holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Tel Aviv University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Israel.
Harkavi, Eliezer Mr. Eliezer Harkavi has served as Chief Operations Officer since January 2007. From January 2009 he is also serving as General Manager of the Legacy Modernization Line of Business of the Comopany. In his prior roll, since 1997, Mr. Harkavi served as Vice President of Delivery and Research and Development. Prior to that, Mr. Harkavi served for 10 years as a Director of Software Development at Aurec, currently Amdocs Ltd. His responsibilities included management of several development and implementation projects in the United States and Europe. Mr. Harkavi holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Gil-Or, Oren Mr. Oren Gil-Or has served as Vice President, Sales, EMEA & APAC of BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. since November 2008. From 2005 until 2008, Mr. Gil-Or was the Senior Director of Marketing for BMC Software Asia Pacific. Between 2001 and 2005, Mr. Gil-Or served as Marketing Director for the application management business unit within BMC Software as well as Field Marketing Director within the Worldwide Marketing Organization. From 1998 until 2000, Mr. Gil-Or served as International Sales Director for New Dimension. Jimenez, Javier Mr. Javier Jimenez has served as Vice President Sales Americas at BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. since November 11, 2008. He is a sales professional with experience in both North and Latin America. Before joining BluePhoenix, he was the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Scientia Network Solutions, a technology and consulting firm. Prior to Scientia, Mr. Jimenez served as Vice President and General Manager of Comverse Latin America from 2003 to 2008. In this role he had overall responsibility for sales and marketing of all Comverse products in South and Central America, and the Caribbean. Before Comverse, Mr. Jimenez served as Vice President of Sales Latin America for iWeb Technologies, a start-up manufacturer of Internet messaging and Ad Delivery technology. Mr. Jimenez was responsible for the planning and execution of iWeb’s entry into the Telco and ISP markets. From 1984 to 1994, he held a variety of positions for Lucas Aero Space, specializing in Avionic Weapon Systems. Mr. Jimenez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering through the United States Air Force, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Dowling Institute of New York. He also completed the Global Leadership Program in Organizational Structure through the Technion Institute of Management in co-operation with MIT and Harvard School of Business.
Schottland, Greg Mr. Greg Schottland has served as Vice President General Manager ASNA at at BluePhoenix Solutions Ltd. on November 11, 2008. Prior to his current position he served as Vice President of Sales Americas from December 2006, when the Company acquired certain business activities of CodeStream (formally Xitec Software) where he served as president. Prior to his work in the legacy modernization market, he founded and led Advanced Software Technologies. Mr. Schottland holds an Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Colorado.
Dmiszewicki, Steven Mr. Steven Dmiszewicki was appointed as Vice President and General Manager, Professional Services of BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. in 2007, following the acquisition of BridgeQuest, where he was co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to 2003, Mr. Dmiszewicki held positions as Managing Director of a management consulting firm and President and Chief Executive Officer at Level 8. Mr. Dmiszewicki came to Level 8 as part of the acquisition of Seer Technologies, where he held the postion of co-President. Mr. Dmiszewicki originally joined Seer in 1990 and had a series of senior management positions in the company, including Chief Financial Officer. Before 1990, Mr. Dmiszewicki held management positions with several United Kingdom-based investment banking firms. He is on the Advisory Board of several technology companies and is a graduate of Bucknell University.
O'Connell, Thomas Mr. Tom O'Connell served as Vice President, Research and Development for BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. from September 2005, to 2008. Mr. O’Connell joined BluePhoenix in October 2001 and served as Director of Research and Development. Prior to joining BluePhoenix, Mr. O’Connell was the Manager of Development and sSpport for Level 8 Systems. Prior to Level 8, Mr. O’Connell was the Software Development Manager for Seer Technologies. Mr. O’Connell received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Erlikh, Len Mr. Len Erlikh has served as Chief Technology Officer for BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. since 2007. Mr. Erlikh was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of BridgeQuest. Prior to BridgeQuest, from 1997 until 2002, Mr. Erlikh served as Chief Technology Officer of Relativity Technologies, a supplier of application modernization and application portfolio management software. Before co-founding Relativity Technologies, between 1990 and 1996, Mr. Erlikh helped establish Seer Technologies, where he served as Senior Vice President of Development and General Manager of technology division. Chill, Michael Mr. Michael Chill has served as an External and Independent Director and a Member of Audit Committee of BluePhoenix Solutions, Ltd. since July 2003. He also serves as Member of the Options Committee of the Company. From January 2008, Mr. Chill has served as a Managing Director at Rodman & Renshaw LLC, an investment bank.
