Name Description

Michael Rake

Sir. Michael Rake is Chairman of the Board of BT Group PLC., since 26 September 2007. Sir Michael has financial, risk, and international business and professional services expertise gained during his time as chairman of KPMG International from 2002 to 2007. He previously held other roles in KPMG from 1974. A Chartered Accountant, he was knighted in 2007 for his services to the accountancy profession.He is a Deputy chairman of Barclays and a non-executive director of McGraw- Hill Financial. Sir Michael is President of the Confederation of British Industry, a member of the board of the Transatlantic Business Council and patron of the Science Museum.

Gavin Patterson

Mr. Gavin Patterson is Chief Executive Officer, Director of BT Group Plc. Gavin has experience in sales, marketing and operations. He was previously CEO, BT Retail and from 2004 to 2008 was Managing Director, BT Consumer, BT Retail. Before joining BT, Gavin was managing director of the consumer division of Telewest (now Virgin Media). Mr. Iain C. Conn has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of the Company effective June 1, 2014. Iain Conn joined BP Oil International in 1986, working in a variety of roles in oil trading, commercial refining and exploration before becoming, on the merger between BP and Amoco in 1999, vice president of BP Amoco Exploration's mid-continent business unit in Houston. He was appointed chief executive, Refining and Marketing on 1 June 2007. Iain has regional responsibility for Europe, including the UK, together with Asia and Southern Africa. Iain has served as a non-executive director and senior independent director at Rolls-Royce plc, having joined in 2005 and will stand down from Rolls-Royce at the AGM in May. Iain is chairman of the advisory board of the Imperial College Business School and a member of the Imperial College Council. Iain was born in Edinburgh and educated in Musselburgh, Scotland. He studied chemical engineering at the Imperial College London. Iain is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Institution of Chemicals Engineers, and the City and Guilds of London Institute.

D. Warren East

Mr. D. Warren A.East has been appointed as Non-Executive Director of BT Group Plc., with effective 1 February 2014. Warren has experience in technology and engineering.
