Name Description

James Bradford

Mr. James W. Bradford, Jr., has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., effective November 7, 2012. Mr. Bradford is dean and Ralph Owen Professor for the Practice of Management at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. An experienced corporate executive, Bradford previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of United Glass Corporation, a consolidation of glass fabricators in the United States and Canada, from 1999 to 2001 and as President and Chief Executive Officer of AFG Industries Inc., North America's vertically integrated glass manufacturing and fabrication company, from 1992 to 1999, after joining that company in 1984 as general counsel following 11 years in private practice.

Sandra Cochran

Ms. Sandra B. Cochran is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. Ms. Cochran has been employed with the company in various capacities since 2009. Ms. Cochran served as the company Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from March 2009 to November 2010, and as President and Chief Operating Officer from November 2010 until September 2011 when she assumed her current position. Douglas Barber

Mr. Douglas E. Barber is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. Mr. Barber has been employed with the company since 2003. He assumed his current position in 2010. Prior to that time, he was with Metromedia Family Steakhouse, a division of Metromedia Restaurant Group, Inc., in various capacities since 1979 where he served as President from 1995 to 2003. Mr. Barber has 33 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

DiamondRock (NYSE: DRH) owns 26 high-quality hotels throughout the United States and has assets of nearly $3 billion. Mr. McCarten served as Chief Executive Officer of DiamondRock from its inception through September 1, 2008. Mr. McCarten brings hospitality, retail and restaurant experience to Cracker Barrel. Prior to founding DiamondRock, he held a number of senior executive positions with Marriott International, Inc. and related entities over the course of 25 years. He was President of Marriott International's Services Group from 2001 to 2003. From 1992 to 2000, Mr. McCarten served as the Chief Executive Officer of HMSHost Corporation, the nation's developer and operator of restaurant and retail concessions in travel and entertainment venues. Mr. McCarten led the transformation of this industry segment through his efforts to bring national retail brands into these venues. He is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and served on the Advisory Board of the McIntire School for fifteen years, from 1981 to 1996. Mr. McCarten has received several prestigious industry awards including the Nation's Restaurant News Golden Chain Award (1999), Nation's Restaurant News Operator of the Year Award (1999), Marriott International's Partnership Circle Award (2006), and HVS' Lodging Leadership CEO of the Year Award (2007).

Coleman Peterson

Mr. Coleman Peterson has been appointed as Independent Director of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc., effective June 17, 2011. Mr. Peterson adds his retail experience to the Cracker Barrel board, whose members represent a wide breadth of experience in both the retail and restaurant industries. He serves on the corporate boards as well as the nominating and corporate governance committees of both J.B. Hunt Transport of Lowell, Arkansas, and Build-A-Bear Workshop of St. Louis, Missouri. Peterson was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Northwest Arkansas Community College by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and recently completed a three year term as chairman of that board. He was inducted as a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources, the highest recognition with the human resource industry. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Loyola University.
