Name Description
Wu, Xiaodong Mr. Xiaodong Wu is Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of China Medical Technologies, Inc. He is Founder of the Company. He has served as Member of the Board of Directors since July 2004. He has also been Director and Chief Executive Officer of YDME Beijing since July 1999. He serves also on the Board of Directors of Chengxuan, Beijing Chengxuan, an investment holding company, Beijing Weixiao, a medical technology company, Beijing Jia Chen Hong Biological Technologies Co., Ltd., a medical technology company, and Beijing Wan De Jin Da Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., a property management company. Mr. Wu has served at the foreign investment department of the Jiangxi provincial government from 1990 to 1996. From 1980 to 1989, he has worked in the Jiangxi Municipal Science and Technology Commission and gained experience in assessing and managing hi-tech projects. Mr. Wu is Adviser to Beijing Medical University for technology development projects. He received his Bachelors degree in Physics from Jiangxi University.
Tsang, Takyung Mr. Takyung (Sam) Tsang has been Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of China Medical Technologies, Inc since June 2007. He joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer in January 2005. He has served as Adviser to the Company for the areas of accounting and finance from February 2004 till December 2004. Prior to joining the Company, he has served as Manager at KPMG Hong Kong from March 2001 till January 2004. He has also served as Manager of Ernst & Young China from January 1999 till February 2001. He is also Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Zhu, Feng Mr. Feng (Charles) Zhu has been Vice President - Business Development and Investor Relations of China Medical Technologies, Inc since January 2005. Prior to joining the Company, he has served as Business Development Manager of GE Healthcare in China, from February 2002 till December 2004, where he was responsible for merger and acquisition projects. From May 2000 till February 2002, he has also served as Business Analyst for Siemens venture in China, advising clients on fund raising projects. He received his Bachelors degree in English from Foreign Affairs College in China and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
Chen, Zhong Dr. Zhong Chen has been Chief Technology Officer of China Medical Technologies, Inc since November 2007. He was Medical Director of cytogenetics program at the Associated Regional and University Pathologists (ARUP) Laboratories in Utah and a professor of Pediatrics and Pathology at the University of Utah. Prior to that, he has served as Director of cytogenetics laboratories at Genetrix Inc, from 1993 till 1996, and of Genzyme Genetics from 1996 till 1998. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Medicine, in 1986, and a Doctorate of Medicine in Hematology and Genetics degree, in 1989, from Tongji Medical University. From 1990 till 1993, he also completed a fellowship in Medical Genetics/Cancer Genetics at Southwest Biomedical Research Institute in conjunction with the University of Arizona Genetics Program in Phoenix, Arizona, the United States. He is certificated by the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG). He joined the Company, in March 2007, as Chief Scientist. He is also Associate Editor of medical journal Cancer Genetics and Cytogenetics.
Bruce, Iain Mr. Iain Ferguson Bruce has been Independent Member of the Board of Directors of China Medical Technologies, Inc since February 2005. He is also Chairman of the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee and Nomination Committee. He joined KPMG in Hong Kong, in 1964, and was promoted to Partner in 1971. He has served as Senior Partner of KPMG, from 1991 until 1996, and has served as Chairman of KPMG Asia Pacific from 1993 till 1997. Crum, Lawrence Dr. Lawrence A. Crum has been Independent Member of the Board of Directors of China Medical Technologies, Inc since February 2005. He is also Member of the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nomination Committee. He is Director of Center for Industrial and Medical Ultrasound and a research professor in electrical engineering and bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle, the United States. Qi, Guoming Dr. Guoming Qi has been Independent Member of the Board of Directors of China Medical Technologies, Inc since November 16, 2007. He is also Vice President of Chinese Medical Association. From 1997 till 2006, he has served as General Director of Department of Medical Science, Technology and Education of the Ministry of Health in China. From 1992 till 1997, he has served as Vice President of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (formerly known as Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine). He obtained a Bachelors degree from Beijing Medical University (Peking University Health Science Center), in 1970, and a Masters degree from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in 1981. He also holds a number of senior positions in various healthcare organizations in the People's Republic of China.
Li, Yuedong Dr. Yuedong Li has been Independent Member of the Board of Directors of China Medical Technologies, Inc since October 2007. He has been also Member of the Audit Committee and Nomination Committee since November 16, 2007. He is also Chief Secretary of China Hospital Association and has been Deputy Director of Center of Organ Transplant at Beijing University from October 2006. Prior to that, he has served as Vice-President of Peking University People's Hospital from 1986 till 2006. He holds various positions in a number of medical associations in China and he obtained a Bachelors degree from Beijing Medical University (Peking University Health Science Center) in 1976. He also serves as Editor for a number of medical journals.
