| Shultz, Charles | Charles E. Shultz is Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Canadian Oil Sands Trust. Mr. Shultz is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dauntless Energy, Inc. ("Dauntless"), which he formed in 1995. Prior to forming Dauntless, Mr. Shultz served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Canada Resources Limited from 1990 to 1995. Mr. Shultz serves as Chairman of Canadian Oil Sands Trust and serves on the board of directors of Newfield Exploration and Enbridge Inc. He also is a director of several private companies, including Glencoe Resources, Matrix Solutions and Sonoma Resources. In the not-for-profit sector, he currently serves on the Board of Management for the Alberta Economic Development Authority; the Calgary Airport Authority Business Advisory Council; Science Alberta; Calgary Foundation; and, the Colorado School of Mines Trustee Advisory Board. Mr. Shultz graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in Geological Engineering in 1961 and attended the University of Virginia's Executive Program in 1980; the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 1984; and, completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Corporate Governance program accrediting him with the ICD.D designation in 2005. |
| Coutu, Marcel | Marcel R. Coutu is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Canadian Oil Sands Trust. Prior to that, he was Chief Financial Officer of Gulf Canada Resources Limited from 1999 to 2001, and held senior finance positions with TransCanada PipeLines Limited. Mr. Coutu has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Corporate Governance program and is accredited as a certified director under that program. He is Chairman of the Board of Syncrude Canada Ltd., and a director of Brookfield Asset Management, Great-West Lifeco., United Way of Calgary, and the Pension and Compensation Committee of the Calgary Stampede Board. | Kubik, Ryan | Ryan M. Kubik is Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Oil Sands Trust since April, 2007. Mr. Kubik joined Canadian Oil Sands in September 2002 as Treasurer, and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in April 2007. He also represents Canadian Oil Sands as Chair of the Syncrude Audit and Business Controls Sub-Committee. Prior to Canadian Oil Sands, Ryan held progressively senior finance positions with EnCana Corporation, PanCanadian Energy and PricewaterhouseCoopers. | Roberts, Trevor | Trevor R. Roberts joined Canadian Oil Sands in September 2005 as Chief Operations Officer. He also represents Canadian Oil Sands on the Syncrude Management Committee. Trevor has 30 years of experience in the energy sector. Prior to Canadian Oil Sands, he was Senior Vice President, Operations with Suncor Energy, responsible for all of its day-to-day operations of oil sands mining, extraction and upgrading as well as large capital expansion projects. Prior to that, Trevor held senior positions with Shell Canada Limited, including responsibilities for Shell’s Scotford Refinery. He holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. |
| Hagerman, Allen | Allen R. Hagerman transitioned to a part-time role as Executive Vice President of Canadian Oil Sands Trust from Chief Financial Officer on April 25, 2007. In his current role, Allen is responsible for special projects and specific Syncrude-related matters, such as oversight of the Syncrude business controls project. Allen joined Canadian Oil Sands in June 2003, and has more than 25 years of experience in the financial management of energy companies. Prior to Canadian Oil Sands, he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fording Canadian Coal Trust, playing a key role in that entity’s conversion into a trust. He also held senior positions at Hudson’s Bay Oil and Gas, InterHome Energy Inc. (the parent to InterProvincial Pipe Line) and Home Oil. Mr. Hagerman is a chartered accountant and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. |
| Hardy, Darren | Darren K. Hardy joined Canadian Oil Sands Trust on September 2, 2008 as Vice President - Operations and is responsible for helping to direct Syncrude’s operations and growth plans on behalf of Canadian Oil Sands Trust. He represents Canadian Oil Sands on the Syncrude Operations Committee and the Growth Development Planning and Projects Committee. Prior to Canadian Oil Sands, he was with Syncrude Canada Ltd. for nearly 20 years. His strong background in oil sands operations includes senior management experience in process operations, maintenance and capital projects. Mr. Hardy holds a BSc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists (APEGGA). |
| Curran, Trudy | Trudy M. Curran is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Canadian Oil Sands Trust. Ms. Curran joined Canadian Oil Sands in September 2002. Trudy has practiced securities/corporate finance for twenty years and has been involved in numerous corporate reorganizations and acquisitions including Canadian Pacific Limited's spin-off in 2001 and the merger of PanCanadian Energy and AEC in 2002, which created EnCana Corporation. Prior to joining Canadian Oil Sands, she held senior positions with EnCana, Canadian Pacific Limited and Canadian Airlines. Trudy received her LLB (with distinction) in 1986 and B.A. (with distinction) in 1983 from the University of Saskatchewan and was a recipient of the Governor General's Bronze medal award. |

| Sangster, Brant | Brant G. Sangster is Director of Canadian Oil Sands Trust. Mr. Sangster was appointed as a director in September 2006, bringing with him nearly 38 years of experience in the energy industry. In 2006, Mr. Sangster retired as Senior Vice President, Oil Sands with Petro-Canada following a 25-year career as a senior executive with that company. He was responsible for managing Petro-Canada’s oil sands businesses, including their 12 per cent interest in the Syncrude Joint Venture and participation in the Fort Hills mining and upgrading project. Prior to joining Petro-Canada, Mr. Sangster held various strategic planning and operating positions with Imperial Oil Ltd. for 13 years. | Bourne, Ian | Ian A. Bourne is Director of Canadian Oil Sands Trust since November 15, 2007. He is the Chair of Ballard Power Systems Inc. and a member of the board of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board as well as Wajax Income Fund and Wajax Limited. From January 1998 to December 2005, Mr. Bourne served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of TransAlta Corporation and he was President of TransAlta Power LP from its inception in March 1998 to December 2006. Prior to 1998, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Canada Post Corporation and spent 22 years with the General Electric Company in Canada and Europe. Mr. Bourne has completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Corporate Governance program and is accredited as a certified director under that program with the ICD.D. designation. |

Mr. Lowry is Chairman of the Board of Directors for EPCOR Power L.P. and of the Canadian Electrical Association, and a director of Alberta Climate Change Central, Alberta Economic Development Authority and the Banff Centre.
