Name Description

James Foster

Mr. James C. Foster is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He Joined the company in 1976 as General Counsel. Over the past 35 years, Mr. Foster has held various staff and managerial positions. Mr. Foster was named President in 1991, Chief Executive Officer in 1992 and Chairman in 2000. Mr. Foster has been a director since 1989.

Thomas Ackerman

Mr. Thomas F. Ackerman is Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Executive Vice President of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He joined the company in 1988 with over eleven years of combined public accounting and international inance experience. He was named Controller, North America in 1992 and became Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 1996. In 1999, he was named a Senior Vice President and in 2005 he was named a Corporate Executive Vice President.

David Johst

Mr. David P. Johst is Corporate Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He joined the company in 1991 as Corporate Counsel and was named Vice President, Human Resources in 1995. He became Vice President, Human Resources and Administration in 1996, a Senior Vice President in 1999, and a Corporate Executive Vice President in 2005. He currently serves as the Company's General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for overseeing the company's Corporate legal function, Human Resources department and several other corporate staff departments. Dr. Nancy A. Gillett, Ph.D., , D.V.M., D.A.C.V.P., is Chief Scientific Officer, Corporate Executive Vice President of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. She joined the company in 1999 with the acquisition of Sierra Biomedical. Dr. Gillett has 29 years of experience as an ACVP board certified pathologist and scientific manager. In 1999, she became Senior Vice President and General Manager of our Sierra Biomedical division, and subsequently held a variety of managerial positions, including President and General Manager of Sierra Biomedical and Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Drug Discovery and Development (the predecessor to our PCS business segment). In 2004, Dr. Gillett was named Corporate Senior Vice President and President, Global Preclinical Services, and in 2006, she became a Corporate Executive Vice President. Currently, Dr. Gillett serves as our Corporate Executive Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer.

Jorg Geller

Dr. Jorg M. Geller, Ph.D., D.V.M., is Corporate Executive Vice President - Global Productivity and Efficiency of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He joined company's German operation in 1986 as production manager. In 1994, he was promoted to Vice President and in 2007, he was named a Senior Vice President. In 2011, Dr. Geller was promoted to Corporate Executive Vice President, European & Asian Operations and in December 2013, he was named Corporate Executive Vice President, Global Productivity and Efficiency. Prior to joining us, Dr. Geller was employed in private practice as a veterinarian.

Davide Molho

Dr. Davide A. Molho, D.V.M., is Corporate Executive Vice President ; President, Global Research Models & Services and Preclinical Services Operations of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He joined the company's Italian operations in 1999 and was promoted to Director of Operations for Research Models and Services (RMS) Italy in 2002. In 2005, his role was expanded to include French RMS operations and in 2007, he became Corporate Vice President, European Research Models and Services, with responsibility for all European RMS operations. In July 2009, Dr. Molho was promoted to Corporate Senior Vice President, North American & European Research Models and Services. He was subsequently promoted to Corporate Executive Vice President and President, Global Research Models and Services in December 2010.

John Crowley

Mr. John Crowley, CPA., has been appointed as Corporate Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller of Charles River Laboratories International, Inc., effective September 30, 2013. Immediately prior to joining Charles River, Mr. Crowley was Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer & Corporate Controller of Ironwood Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he held senior corporate finance positions at Vertex Pharmaceuticals where he successfully managed and directed all areas of technical accounting. Mr. Crowley holds a B.S. in both Economics and Accountancy from Babson College and is a certified public accountant.

Colin Dunn

Dr. Colin Dunn, Ph.D., is Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager, Research Models & Services, Europe and Asia of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. Dr. Dunn was previously responsible for European RMS operations, and in his expanded role, will oversee all of the Company's RMS operations in Europe, Japan and China.

Dr. George M. Milne, Jr., Ph.D., is an Lead Independent Director of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He serves as the Venture partner of Radius Ventures LLC since 2003. Dr. Milne retired from Pfizer Inc. in 2002 after working there since 1970 in management positions, including as Executive Vice President, Pfizer Global Research and Development, President, Worldwide Strategic Sales and Operations Management, President of Central Research with global responsibility for Pfizer's Human and Veterinary Medicine Research and Development, and member of the Pfizer Management Council. Dr. Milne is a director of Mettler-Toledo International, Inc. and also serves on the boards of several private companies and charitable organizations. He was previously a director of MedImmune, Inc. from 2005-2007, Athersys, Inc. from 2002-2012, Aspreva Pharmaceutical Corporation from 2004-2007, and Conor Medsystems, Inc. from 2003-2006. Dr. Milne has been a director since 2002.

Dr. Craig B. Thompson, M.D., is Director of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. Dr. Thompson is President and Chief Executive Officer, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Prior to joining Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in 2010, Dr. Thompson held various roles at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as a member of the Medical Advisory Board of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute; on the Board of Directors of Merck & Co., Inc.; as a member of the Lasker Prize Jury; and as Associate Editor of the journals Cell, Immunity, and Cancer Cell. Dr. Thompson holds a number of patents related to immunotherapy and apoptosis, and is a founder of three biotechnology companies. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Medicine, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Society for Clinical Investigation, and the American Association of Physicians.

Robert Bertolini

Mr. Robert J. Bertolini is an Independent Director of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He serves as President and Chief Financial Officer of Bausch & Lomb Incorporated from February 2013 to August 2013 (until its acquisition by Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc). Mr. Bertolini served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Schering-Plough Corp. from November 2003 until November 2009 (until its merger with Merck & Co) with responsibility for tax, accounting and financial asset management. Prior to joining Schering-Plough, Mr. Bertolini spent 20 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, ultimately leading its global pharmaceutical industry practice. Mr. Bertolini also serves as a director of Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He served as a director of Genzyme Corporation until its merger with Sanofi-Aventis in 2011. Mr. Bertolini has been a director since January 2011.

Mr. Stephen D. Chubb is an Independent Director of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. He is a Special Limited Partner of Catalyst Healthcare Ventures, a venture investment firm specializing in medical devices and diagnostic products, since June 2010. From September 2010 through March 2011 Mr. Chubb served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Allegro Diagnostics, Inc., a privately held molecular diagnostics company focused on the development and future sale of innovative genomic tests for the diagnosis, staging and guided treatment of lung cancer and lung diseases. Mr. Chubb was previously Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Matritech, Inc., a publicly traded developer of proteomics-based diagnostic products for the early detection of cancer, from its inception in 1987 until December 2007. Mr. Chubb served as President and Chief Executive Officer of T Cell Sciences, Inc. and as President and Chief Executive Officer of Cytogen Corp., both publicly traded biotechnology companies. Mr. Chubb served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts from 2006 to 2010 and was concurrently a director of Caregroup Healthcare System. He is currently a director of Allegro Diagnostics Corp. and Immunetics, Inc.

Deborah Kochevar

Dr. Deborah Turner Kochevar, Ph.D, D.V.M., is an Independent Director of Charles River Laboratories International Inc. She serves as the Dean of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University since 2006. Previously, Dr. Kochevar was a long-time faculty member and administrator at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M University, where she held the Wiley Chair of Veterinary Medical Education. Dr. Kochevar currently serves as the president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges and is a past-president of the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and is active in the American Veterinary Medical Association, having chaired its Council on Education and the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates. Dr. Kochevar has been a director since October 2008.
