Name Description

Robert Rieder

 Mr. Robert W. Rieder, M.B.A., is Chairman of the Board of Cardiome Pharma Corp. He has also previously served as Cardiome’s Vice-Chairman. He served as Cardiome’s Chief Executive Officer from joining Cardiome in April 1998 until August 2009. Mr. Rieder was appointed Chairman of the Board in March 2007 and assumed the role of Executive Chairman in August 2009. Mr. Rieder has experience in venture capital and in operational management. Prior to joining Cardiome, Mr. Rieder was Vice-President at MDS Ventures Pacific Inc., the Vancouver-based affiliate of MDS Capital Corp., and has served as a director for nine public and private technology companies. Mr. Rieder has also acted as Chief Operating Officer for DBA Telecom Inc., and CEO for Synapse Technologies Inc. Mr. Rieder is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ESSA Pharma Inc. and is non-executive chairman of the board of directors of Akela Pharma Inc.

William Hunter

 Dr. William L. Hunter, M.D., MSc., is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Cardiome Pharma Corp. He has been appointed as President, Chief Executive Officer of the Company effective March 26, 2013. He has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the company effective July 3, 2012. Dr. Hunter was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Angiotech from January 1997 to October 2011. Dr. Hunter has participated in the design, establishment, and implementation of executive and non-executive compensation and benefit programs, sales incentive programs and specialized compensation programs in relation to numerous mergers and acquisitions. In Dr. Hunter’s role at Angiotech, the Vice-President of Human Resources reported to him. In addition, Dr. Hunter was involved in the development and approval of all Angiotech compensation plans, in consultation with that company's board of directors, including the compensation of the board of directors of Angiotech. As an independent director of other organizations, Dr. Hunter has also served as a member of the compensation committee of numerous public, private and not-for-profit organizations.

Jennifer Archibald

 Ms. Jennifer Archibald has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Cardiome Pharma Corp with effect from September 20, 2012. Ms. Archibald has more than 15 years of financial management experience in both public and private companies and has served as Cardiome's Director of Finance for the past six years. Prior to joining Cardiome, Ms. Archibald managed the accounting operations at the corporate office of The Jim Pattison Group, the third private company in Canada, and was a corporate auditor with KPMG. She is a Chartered Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.

Sheila Grant

 Ms. Sheila M. Grant, MBA,, has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Cardiome Pharma Corp effective March 26, 2013. She is responsible for the overall management of the vernakalant (iv) and vernakalant (oral) programs. She has overseen development of vernakalant from its initial toxicology studies as a clinical candidate in 1999, through to its current stage of development. Ms. Grant’s past roles at Cardiome have included Vice President, Commercial Affairs and Director of Business & Clinical Development. Prior to joining Cardiome, Ms. Grant acted as business consultant to De Novo Enzyme Corporation and Coopers & Lybrand. Ms. Grant also worked in research and development, production, and quality assurance with Schering Agrochemicals U.K., Wellcome Biotechnologies U.K. and Serono Diagnostics U.K. respectively. Ms. Grant holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree from Essex University, U.K. and an MBA degree from Simon Fraser University.

Karim Lalji

 Mr. Karim Lalji has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer of Cardiome Pharma Corp effective March 26, 2013. Mr. Lalji was previously Vice President of Business Strategy and New Product Commercialization at Sepracor, Inc. At Sepracor, Inc., he was responsible for the commercial success of their pipeline of drug candidates, including identifying which products to take into development and ensuring that the development program and marketing strategy resulted in product launches. One of the key achievements for Mr. Lalji at Sepracor, Inc. was his leadership in the development and launch of Lunesta (eszopiclone) for the treatment of insomnia. Mr. Lalji’s earlier experience includes ten years with Merck & Company, where he led several product launches. Mr. Lalji also has cardiovascular experience from Merck & Company as the Director of Business Strategy for the cholesterol reducers and hypertension/heart failure franchises. Mr. Lalji is currently a member of the Board of Overseers at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, an academic teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. Mr. Lalji holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a Science Masters in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University. He was awarded the Wilinsky Prize for Academic Excellence while at Harvard.

Donald McAfee

 Dr. Donald A. McAfee, Ph.D., is Executive Scientist of Cardiome Pharma Corp. He joined Cardiome in October 2004 as Vice President of New Product Development. He has been a scientist and manager in academia and industry for more than 40 years. As Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Technical Officer of Aderis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (formerly Discovery Therapeutics, Inc.), Dr. McAfee led the introduction of a number of clinical candidates including a therapeutic patch for Parkinson’s disease now marketed, and adenosine receptor based cardiovascular therapeutics and diagnostics still in development.

 Dr. Richard M. Glickman, L.L.D., is Lead Independent Director of Cardiome Pharma Corp. He was Chief Executive Officer of Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation between January 2002 and July 2007. He also served as the Chief Executive Officer for StressGen Biotechnologies Corp from 1990 until 2000. Dr. Glickman sits on a variety of private and public boards and has served on numerous compensation committees. He has participated in the design, establishment, and implementation of executive compensation and benefit programs and also participated in, and overseen, the design, establishment and implementation of compensation and benefit programs for non-executive employees. In Dr. Glickman’s executive leadership roles, the Vice-President of Human Resources reported to him. He also has direct experience in performance management of executive, senior level and rank-and-file employees in small and larger organizations. In his role as a manager and motivator of people, he has experience in establishing, monitoring and evaluating strategic and annual personnel and group performance objectives.

Peter Roberts

 Mr. Peter W. Roberts, FCA, CPA (Illinois), ICD.D, is an Independent Director of Cardiome Pharma Corp. Mr. Roberts retired as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of Sierra Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: SWIR / TSX: SW) in March 2004. He served in this role from January 1999 until retirement, and was responsible for taking the company public on the Toronto Stock Exchange in May 1999 and a follow-on financing on NASDAQ in May 2000. Prior to joining Sierra Wireless, Inc., Mr. Roberts held senior financial roles over a fifteen-year period with Service Corporation IJK plc, The Loewen Group Inc., The Overwaitea and Save-On Foods Chain and Sydney Development Corporation. Mr. Roberts resigned as a member of the board of directors of WebTech Wireless Inc. in April, 2011. Mr. Roberts is a graduate of Touche Ross, and practiced a decade in public accounting. He holds professional accounting designations in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Mr. Roberts completed his term as President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia in 2007 and completed his term as Chair of the Risk Oversight and Governance Board of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2010. Mr. Roberts is currently a member of the board of directors of the Canadian Public Accountability Board. Mr. Roberts is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Harold Shlevin

 Dr. Harold H. Shlevin, Ph.D., is an Independent Director of Cardiome Pharma Corp. Dr. Shlevin, the Chair of the Compensation Committee, was Head of Operations and Commercial Development at Altea Therapeutics Corporation, between October 2008 and November 2009. Prior to that, Dr. Shlevin was President and Chief Executive Officer of Tikvah Therapeutics Inc. from June 2006 to July 2008 and, prior to that, was Global Senior Vice President, Regulatory, Safety and Quality and External Affairs (January 2006-May 2006) and President and Chief Executive Officer (May 2000-December 2005) at Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In prior executive roles, Dr. Shlevin has participated in the design, establishment and implementation of executive compensation and benefit programs and also participated in, and overseen, the design, establishment and implementation of compensation and benefit programs for non-executive employees. In Dr. Shlevin’s executive leadership roles, the Vice-President of Human Resources reported to him. He also has direct experience in performance management of executive, senior level and rank-and-file employees in small and larger organizations. In his role as a manager and motivator of people, he has experience in establishing, monitoring and evaluating strategic and annual personnel and group performance objectives. Dr. Shlevin is also a Director of NeurOp, Inc, a development stage neuroscience therapeutic company, and serves as a member of its compensation committee.
