Name Description

Manfred Bischoff

Dr. Manfred Bischoff has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since April 4, 2007. He joined the Company’s Supervisory Board in April 12, 2006. He is Chairman of the Presidential, Mediation and Nomination Committees at the Company. In addition to his duties at the Company, he acts as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Voith GmbH and SMS GmbH, as well as Member of the Supervisory Board at Royal KPN N.V. and UniCredit S.p.A. In 1976, Dr. Bischoff joined Daimler-Benz AG as Project Coordinator for the alliance with Steyr-Daimler-Puch, with special responsibility for the cross-country vehicle Mercedes-Benz G-Class. In 1981, he was given responsibility for equity investments, mergers & acquisitions in the Finance Department where he became Departmental Head in 1985. In 1988, he joined the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz do Brasil as Chief Financial Officer. In 1989, he was appointed to the Management Board of Deutsche Aerospace (subsequently DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG) as Chief Financial Officer and in 1995 became Chairman of the Management Board of Daimler-Benz Aerospace (subsequently DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG) and Member of the Management Board of Daimler-Benz AG. Following the establishment of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS) in 2000, Dr. Bischoff became its Chairman. On December 15, 2003, he stepped down from the Management Board of DaimlerChrysler AG. On April 5, 2007, he stepped down from his offices at EADS. Dr. Bischoff holds Master’s degree in Economics from Ruprecht-Karls-Universitaet Heidelberg. He also graduated in Law from Eberhard Karls Universitaet Tuebingen. In 1973, he obtained Doctorate in Philosophy majoring in Economics from Ruprecht-Karls-Universitaet Heidelberg. Between 1968 and 1976, he served as Assistant at the Alfred Weber Institute, at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universitaet Heidelberg.

Dieter Zetsche

Dr. Dieter Zetsche has been Chairman of the Management Board and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars at Daimler AG since January 1, 2006. Dr. Zetsche has been Member of the Company’s Management Board since December 16, 1998. In 1976, he joined Research Department of Daimler-Benz AG (current Daimler AG) and in 1981, and became Assistant to the Development Manager in the Commercial Vehicles business unit in 1981. From 1984, as part of the Daimler-Benz Commercial Vehicles Management Development Team, he was responsible for the coordination of international development activities. In his professional career, he held various positions, including Member of the Management Board at Mercedes Car Group, DaimlerChrysler AG in 2005; Member of the Management Board, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Chrysler Group in 2000; Member of the Management Board for Commercial Vehicle Division at DaimlerChrysler AG in 1999; Member of the Management Board for Sales Division at DaimlerChrysler AG in 1998; Member of the Management Board for Sales Division at Daimler-Benz AG in 1997; Member of the Management Board of Sales Division at Mercedes-Benz AG in 1995; Deputy Member of the Mercedes-Benz AG Board of Management, Chief Engineer of Development Division in the Passenger Cars Business Unit in 1992; President of Freightliner Corp., Portland, Oregon in 1991; President of Mercedes-Benz Argentina in 1989; Member of Management of Mercedes-Benz do Brazil in 1988, as well as Head of the Development Department and Chief Engineer of Mercedes-Benz do Brazil in 1987. Dr. Dieter Zetsche graduated in Engineering from Universitaet Karlsruhe (University of Karlsruhe) in 1976. Erich Klemm

Mr. Erich Klemm serves as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG. He is also Member of the Company’s Presidential, Mediation and Audit Committee. He has been Member of the Company’s Supervisory Board since 1988, Chairman of the Sindelfingen plant Works Council since 1989 and Chairman of the Company’s General Works Council since 1999. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the General Works Council of Daimler Group and Daimler AG and as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG. Between 1970 and 1973, he trained as Apprentice Machine Fitter at Daimler-Benz AG's Sindelfingen plant. He subsequently worked as Machine Fitter in the process design section at the Sindelfingen plant from 1973 to 1978. He then attended external further education courses to gain a qualification in Human Resources, and completed a REFA training course. Between 1971 and 1978, Mr. Klemm was Chairman of the Young Employees' Representative Body on the Works Council of the Sindelfingen plant, and from 1972 to 1978 Chairman of the Young Employees' Representative Body on the General Works Council. He was then elected to the Works Council as a full time Member.

Bodo Uebber

Mr. Bodo Uebber has been Member of the Management Board and Head of Finance & Controlling, Daimler Financial Services at Daimler AG since December 16, 2004. He joined the Company’s Management Board on December 16, 2003. He has also been responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions of the Company. Wolfgang Bernhard

Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard has been appointed Member of the Management Board and Head of Daimler Trucks at Daimler AG with effect from April 1, 2013. Prior to that, he served as Member of the Management Board with responsibility for Manufacturing and Procurement of Mercedes-Benz Cars & Mercedes-Benz Vans business unit at the Company from February 18, 2010. In 1994, he joined Mercedes-Benz AG. Between February 2005 and January 2006, he was Member of the Management Board at Volkswagen AG. Christine Hohmann-Dennhardt

Dr. Christine Hohman-Dennhardt has been Member of the Management Board responsible for Integrity and Legal Affairs at Daimler AG since February 16, 2011. This Board of Management position was created on February 16, 2011 and among other things, Dr. Hohman-Dennhardt is in charge of the management of Daimler AG’s global compliance and legal organization and the related processes, business ethics, as well as the sustained anchoring of compliance and integrity throughout the Group. In her professional career she held various positions, including Judge at the Federal Constitutional Court (First Senate) in 1999; Head of the Department for Social, Youth and Housing Affairs of the City of Frankfurt am Main (1989) and Head of the Department for Social, Youth and Housing Affairs of the City of Frankfurt am Main (1989), among others. She studied Law in Tuebingen and completed her studies with the Second State Examination in 1975. She then became a Lecturer in Social Law at the University of Hamburg. Dr. Hohmann-Dennhardt gained a Doctorate in Law at Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universitaet Frankfurt am Main in 1979.

Andreas Renschler

Thomas Weber

Prof. Dr. Thomas Weber has been Member of the Management Board and Head of Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development at Daimler AG since May 1, 2004. He joined the Company’s Management Board on January 1, 2003. Paul Achleitner

Dr. Paul Achleitner has been Member of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG since 2010. He is Member of the Nomination Committee of the Company. After various assignments in the Strategy Consulting of Bain & Co. and positions at Goldman Sachs in the areas Mergers & Acquisitions and Investment Banking, he became Chairman of the German Branch of Goldman Sachs in 1994. In 2000 he joined the Board of Management of the former Allianz AG, where he was in charge for Finance up to his leaving in 2012. Since May 2012 he is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG. He is also Member of the Supervisory Boards of Bayer AG and RWE AG. He studied at Hochschule St. Gallen (the University for Business Administration, Economics, Law and Social Sciences of St. Gallen) where he also obtained a doctorate.

Sari Baldauf

Dr. Sari Maritta Baldauf has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since February 11, 2008. She is Member of the Nomination Committee at the Company. In addition to her current duties at the Company, she acts as Member of the Supervisory Board or Board of Directors at F-Secure Corporation, Deutsche Telekom AG and AkzoNobel N.V., as well as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board at Fortum OYj. Prior to joining the Company, she worked for Nokia since 1983, where she held various positions in the Strategic Planning and Business Development in Finland and the United States. From 1988 to 1996 she acted as President of Nokia Cellular Systems. In 1997 she became Executive Vice President of Nokia, Asia-Pacific and President of the Networks Division in 1998. She served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Networks business group of Nokia Corporation, from July 1998 until February 2005. Between 1994 and January 2005 she was also Member of the Executive Board of Nokia Corporation. Dr. Baldauf received Bachelor of Science in 1977 and Master of Science in Business Administration from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu (the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration) in 1979. She further holds honorary doctorates of the Helsinki University of Technology and Turku School of Economics and Business Administration.

Clemens Boersig

Dr. Clemens A. H. Boersig has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since April 4, 2007. He is Member of the Audit Committee at the Company. He joined Deutsche Bank in 1999 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, subsequently becoming Member of the Management Board and assuming the additional responsibility of Chief Risk Officer. Prior to his career at Deutsche Bank, he spent almost three years at RWE AG, Essen, where he was Member of the Management Board and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, for 12 years, he worked at Robert Bosch GmbH, Stuttgart, in various senior executive roles culminating as Member of the Management Board. Between 1977 and 1985, he was with Mannesmann Group, Dusseldorf, first in the Group Planning Department and subsequently, from 1983, as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Mannesmann-Tally. In addition to his current duties at the Company, he is Member of the Supervisory Boards of the following companies: Linde AG, Bayer AG and Emerson Electric Co. Dr. Boersig is Former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bank AG. He graduated in Business Administration and Mathematics from Universitaet Mannheim in 1973. Michael Brecht

Mr. Michael Brecht has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since July 1, 2012. He is also a Member of the Audit Committee at the Company. He apprenticed as an automotive fitter at Daimler-Benz in Gaggenau and pursued a number of training programs, including as a work and motion analyst. From 1981 onwards, Mr. Brecht was active as member of the Gaggenau Works Council body representing young employees and trainees. In 1985 he was elected Chairman of the Central Works Council body representing young employees and trainees. Since 1990, he has been active as Member of the Works Council Committee in Gaggenau. He has been active as Chairman of that body since 1998. He is Deputy Chairman of the General Works Council of Daimler AG since July 1, 2012. In addition to his activities as employee representative, he performs various honorary functions in the local municipal and union organizations.

Heinrich Flegel

Prof. Dr. Heinrich A. Flegel has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since 2003. In addition, since 1998, he has been the Company’s Director of Research Materials, Lightweight Design and Manufacturing, at Daimler AG in Stuttgart. Since 2000, he has occupied the post of Chairman of the Management Representative Committee at Daimler Group. He started his business career in 1978 at Daimler-Benz AG as Specialist in factory equipment construction at the Sindelfingen plant. In 1982 was Senior Manager in the Process Engineering department responsible for CAD/CAM development in the Sindelfingen assembly plant, and by 1984 he was responsible for CAD/CAM development for all assembly plants. From 1988 to 1992, he held the position of Director of Mechanical Engineering at the Sindelfingen assembly plant. In 1993 he became Director of Process Engineering. From 1969 he studied Mechanical Engineering at Rheinisch-Westfaelische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen. In 1974 he received a diploma in Mechanical Engineering in the field of Manufacturing Technologies at RWTH Aachen. From 1975 he was a scientific assistant at the Institute for Computer Applications in Planning and Construction at Universitaet Karlsruhe. In 1979 he received his Doctorate of Philosophy in Applied Computer Science from Universitaet Karlsruhe. In 1990 he received Lectureship of the Faculty for Construction and Manufacturing Technologies at Stuttgart University for the sector Development of tools for sheet-metal forming based on the CAD system CATIA.

Juergen Hambrecht

Dr. Juergen Hambrecht has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since February 8, 2008. He is Member of the Company's Presidential Committee and the Mediation Committee. He is also Member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Fuchs Petrolub AG and Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG. In 1976 Dr. Hambrecht joined the BASF Polymers Laboratory, responsible for polystyrene, styrenic copolymers and polyphenylene ethers. In 1985 he became Head of Research and Purchasing at Lacke und Farben AG, Muenster, Germany (now BASF Coatings AG). In 1990 he was appointed President of Engineering Plastics division. In 1995 he became President of the East Asia division, based in Hong Kong. In 1997 he was appointed as Member of the Board of Executive Directors. He is former Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors at BASF SE. Dr. Hambrecht holds Doctorate in Philosophy degree in Organic Chemistry from Universitaet Tuebingen.

Petraea Heynike

Ms. Petraea Heynike has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since April 13, 2011. She is Former Executive Vice President of the Executive Board of Nestle S.A. She joined Nestle in 1972 where she held various positions in different countries in the area of Strategy, Sales and Marketing. In March 2009 she was appointed Executive Vice President Nestle S.A., responsible for the Strategic Business Units, Marketing, Sales and Nespresso. Ms. Heynike currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Schulich School of Business. She holds a B.A. Degree in Psychology, English and Mathematical Statistics.

Joerg Hofmann

Mr. Joerg Hofmann has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative of Daimler AG since April 9, 2008. In addition, he has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Robert Bosch GmbH and at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. He joined IG Metall in 1987 as Secretary of the trade union of the Stuttgart administration, where he was in charge of organizational development. Other focal issues of his professional activities were the work organization and the performance and compensation policy, primarily in the automobile industry. In 2000, he became Secretary for wage issues of the regional district management Baden-Wuerttemberg of German Metalworkers’ Union IG Metall. He was appointed District Manager of the IG Metall Baden-Wuerttemberg in 2003. From 1982 he was a research employee at the Institute for Industrial Economics at Stuttgart-Hohenheim University and worked as an independent advisor for labor organization and new technologies. Mr. Hofmann obtained a degree in Economics at Universitaet Hohenheim, Stuttgartat (Stuttgart-Hohenheim University) in 1982.

Thomas Klebe

Dr. Thomas Klebe has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since 2003. He is also Member of the Company’s Presidential and Mediation Committee. In addition to his current duties at the Company, he occupies the post of General Counsel of the German Metalworkers’ Union (IG Metall). He is also Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler Luft-und Raumfahrt Holding AG and at ThyssenKrupp Materials International GmbH. In 1982 left the German trade union confederation DGB to join the Executive Council of the German Metalworkers' Union (IG Metall) in Frankfurt. He has worked for the Executive Council of IG Metall in various areas, including the legal department and the international department where he focused on Asia. Over the past 20 years he served on the Supervisory Boards of numerous German companies, including Adam Opel AG and Compaq GmbH, in both cases as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Dr. Klebe graduated in Political Science and Law from the Albertus Magnus Universitaet zu Koeln, in 1972. Following community service (in lieu of military service) and a period as a Junior Lawyer, he passed the German Second State Law Examination and joined the legal protection department of the German trade union confederation (DGB) in Cologne. In 1980, he gained a doctorate in Philosophy degree at the Universitaet Bremen. He has published a number of works on labor law and is a lay judge in the First senate of the German Federal Labor Court.

Gerard Kleisterlee

Mr. Gerard J. Kleisterlee has been Member of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG since April 8, 2009. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Royal Philips Electronics from 2001 until March 2011. Mr. Kleisterlee currently holds positions at the Board of Royal Dutch Shell plc., Dell Inc. and Vodafone Group plc (Chairman). He is also Member of the Asia Business Council. Mr. Kleisterlee holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics Engineering from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (Eindhoven University of Technology).

Juergen Langer

Mr. Juergen Langer has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since 2003. He worked as a car mechanic from 1972 to 1984 at the Frankfurt sales and service outlet. In February 1982 he qualified as a master craftsman (Meister). He has been on the Works Council of the Frankfurt sales and service outlet since 1981, and a full-time Member of the Works Council since 1984. In 1987, he became the Chairman of the Works Council of the Frankfurt sales and service outlet. In 1996 he became a Member of the General Works Council and since November 2001 he has been Chairman of the branch committee of the General Works Council and Chairman of the European Sales Working Group of the Euro Works Council. He also serves as a lay judge in the Federal Labor Court.

Ansgar Osseforth

Mr. Ansgar Osseforth has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative of Daimler AG since April 9, 2008. He joined the Company in 1970 as Development Engineer of Passengers Cars. He qualified as TQM-Process Manager and developed the new product creation process in the framework of the Mercedes-Benz development system. In this connection he was active in the area of global process management between Germany, United States and Japan. He has been active as (E4) Manager in passenger car research since 1993. He is also Manager of Mercedes-Benz Research and Development. He was Member of the Works Council of Sindelfingen Plants at Daimler AG from 2006 to November 30, 2011. After obtaining his German Abitur (university entrance qualification) he commenced a vocational training program as milling cutter and mechanical engineer.

Valter Sanches

Mr. Valter Sanches has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since November 21, 2007. He is Director of Communications of the Metalworkers’ Union ABC, and President of the Fundacao Sociedade Comunicacao, Cultura e Trabalho (Foundation Society of Communications, Culture and Work). He has been a metalworker since 1981 when he started working as a mechanic at a machine building firm in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He was then hired by Rolls-Royce in 1985, in Sao Bernardo do Campo (ABC region). Since 1988, Sanches has worked as a planner of production processes at Mercedes-Benz in Sao Bernardo do Campo, where he was elected to the CIPA (Health & Safety Committee) for the 1989-90 term. He has been Member of the Mercedes’ Works Council since 1992. From 1997 to 2005, he was Member of the Council's coordination. He has also been Member of the Union’s Shop Committee (CSE) since 1999. Mr. Sanches was the Works Council’s and CSE’s coordinator from 2000 until 2002, and also the Brazilian representative on the (then) DaimlerChrysler World Works Council between 2000 and 2007, representing workers from the Campinas and Juiz de Fora plants as well. He was Member of the executive council of the ABC Metalworkers’ Union (CNM/CUT’s affiliated) between 2002 and 2005. In 2004, he was elected Organizing Secretary of CNM/CUT (National Confederation of Metalworkers).In the first semester of 2007, Mr. Sanches was named General Secretary of CNM/CUT. He was re-elected General Secretary at the 7th CNM/CUT Congress, held in June 2007. In December, 2009 he was elected CNM/CUT’s International Relations Secretary. In May, 2009 he was elected Member of the Executive Committee and of the Financial Committee of the International Metalworkers’ Federation. He holds a degree in Geography from Universidade de Sao Paulo (University of Sao Paulo).

Joerg Spies

Mr. Joerg Spies has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since January 5, 2010. In 1998, he was elected to the Works Council of the Headquarters at Daimler AG. Subsequently, he took over as Works Council Chairman in October 2005. In 1984, he entered Daimler-Benz AG, where was active in various areas of production before moving to commercial vehicles development in 1986. In 1983, he became Member of IG Metall and since 1998, he has served as Member of the Collective Bargaining Commission of Baden-Wuerttemberg. He has been active as Member of the Group’s Works Council since 2002 and became Chairman of the Works Council, Headquarters, Daimler AG in January 5, 2010. He is also active as Lay Judge at the labor court in Stuttgart. Mr. Joerg Spies holds a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Universitaet Stuttgart, which he gained in February 1995.

Lloyd Trotter

Mr. Lloyd G. Trotter has been Member of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG since April 8, 2009. Since the same time, he has also served as Managing Partner and Founder of GenNx360 Capital Partners. Previously, he was Vice Chairman of General Electric, President and Chief Executive Officer of the General Electric Group’s (GE) Industrial division between 2006 and 2008. He is founding Member of the GE African American Forum. Mr. Trotter currently holds position of Member of the Supervisory Board at PepsiCo Inc., Textron Inc., syncreon Holdings Ltd., syncreon.US Holdings Inc. and syncreon.US Inc. He holds Doctorate in Philosophy degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University (2001). He also holds Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University (1972).

Bernhard Walter

Dr. Bernhard Walter has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since 1998. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Company. Dr. Bernhard Walter is currently Member of the Supervisory Boards at Deutsche Telekom AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Bilfinger Berger SE. He has held various senior positions in different divisions of Dresdner Bank, both throughout its branch network and at its head office in Frankfurt, since completing his bank traineeship and studying at Wuerttembergische Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie (the Wuerttemberg Academy of Business and Administration). Dr. Walter has been on the Dresdner Bank Board of Management since 1987. In addition to growing the bank's corporate client business and expanding its Business Line Global Finance area within the investment banking division, he has been heavily involved in opening up new markets in central and Eastern Europe and expanding the bank's branch network in the new federal states. During his entire period as Board Member he deputized for the Chief Financial Officer position. Between 1998 and 2000 Dr. Walter was Spokesman for the Board of Management of Dresdner Bank.

Uwe Werner

Mr. Uwe Werner has been Member of the Supervisory Board and Employee Representative at Daimler AG since October 1, 2007. He is also Chairman of the Works Council of Bremen Plant at Daimler AG. In 1980 he entered Daimler-Benz AG as equipment engineer at the Bremen Plant. In 1984 he was elected to the Works Council. He has been active as Deputy Chairman of the Works Council since 1995 and was elected Chairman of the Works Council at the Bremen Plant on October 1, 2007. Mr. Uwe Werner has been Member of the General Works Council since 1995. He has been active as honorary judge at the Regional Labor Court in Bremen for many years, and performs various union functions.

Lynton Wilson

Mr. Lynton R. Wilson has been Member of the Supervisory Board at Daimler AG since 1998. Following appointment as Foreign Service officer with Canada’s Department of Trade and Commerce in 1962, he was Assistant Commercial Secretary at the Canadian Embassy in Vienna (1963-1965) and Second Secretary in Tokyo (1967 – 1968). He served as Corporate Economist and Director of Economic Research, John Labatt Limited (1969 – 1971), Coordinator, Industrial R&D Policy for the Ministry of State, Science & Technology in 1972, Strategic Planning and Development Officer, MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. (1973 – 1974) and Vice President & Director, MacMillan Bloedel Enterprises Inc. (1974 – 1977). Mr. Wilson was appointed Executive Director, Policy & Priorities, Ministry of Industry & Tourism, Government of Ontario (1977 – 1978) and Deputy Minister of Industry & Tourism (1978 – 1981). From 1981-1988, he was President and Chief Executive Officer, Redpath Industries Limited followed by a one year Chairmanship. He served as Vice-Chairman at The Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto from 1989 to 1990. Furthermore, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer (1990-1992); President and Chief Executive Officer (1992-1993); Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer (1993-1996) as well as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (1996-1998) and finally as Chairman of the Board (1998-200) at BCE Inc. He was Chairman of the Board of Nortel Networks Corporation from 2001 to 2005. Mr. Lynton R. Wilson is Chairman of the Board of CAE Inc. and Chancellor of McMaster University. He is Member of the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee on the Public Service. Mr. Lynton R. Wilson holds Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University and an MA from Cornell University. Mr. Wilson is an Officer of the Order of Canada (1997), and is the recipient of honorary degrees from the Universite de Montreal, McMaster, Bishop’s, Mount Allison and Brock Universities, and the University College of Cape Breton.
