Renaud, R. Philip Mr. R. Philip Renaud has been appointed as Chairman of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. Mr. R. Philip Renaud has served as Independent Director of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. He is Managing Director of Church Advisors. He is a graduate of Franklin College of Switzerland with a Bachelor of Arts in international financial management. He is a director and member of the Audit committee of Diagem Inc. Mr. Renaud is an independent director.
Tellechea, Daniel Mr. Daniel Tellechea serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. He is currently an independent financial and management consultant after an extensive period as an executive of large corporations. He was President and CEO of Asarco LLC until 2005. Previously, from 1994 to 2003, Mr. Tellechea was the Managing Director of Finance and Administration of Grupo Mexico, Asarco's parent corporation. For the period between 1999 and 2003, he also served as Asarco's Chief Financial Officer and as Vice-President of Finance for Southern Peru Copper Corporation, majority-owned by Grupo Mexico. Mr. Tellechea received a BSc in accounting from the Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico) and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Robyn, Thomas Dr. Thomas L. Robyn serves as Director of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. Dr. Thomas L. Robyn had served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. He earned his Ph.D, geology, in 1977 from the University of Oregon with a major in igneous petrology/volcanology. He began his career with Anaconda Minerals and by 1982, was appointed Anaconda's regional manager in Norway. He has also held top-level positions with several junior companies, and in recent years has advised investment funds with respect to mineral companies. Dr. Robyn's career has been truly international, having overseen projects in such countries as Australia, Ecuador, Greenland, Norway, Liberia, Equatorial Guinea, Guyana and Suriname, as well as several states in the United States.
Arias, J. Alberto Mr. J. Alberto Arias serves as Director of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. Mr. Arias has a B.Sc. (mining engineering and metallurgy) from the Colorado School of Mines and three Master degrees, including a MBA, from Columbia University. He holds a patent for a gold mineral processing technology. Mr. Arias has over 15 years of experience in the field of international mining finance and is widely recognized as an industry expert. Prior to founding Arias Resource Capital, Mr. Arias worked for eight years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., his last appointment being as Managing Director and Head of Equity Research for metals and mining in the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Crevier, David Mr. David J. Crevier serves as Director of Dia Bras Exploration. Mr. Crevier was a director of Diagem Inc. (TSX VENTURE: DGE) when, on November 3, 2008, a cease trade order was issued against that company by the Autorité des marchés financiers for failure to file its annual financial statements within the prescribed time. Mr. Crevier is still a director of Diagem Inc.
Cater, Douglas Mr. Douglas F. Cater has been appointed as Director of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. on June 10, 2009. Mr. Cater is employed as the Exploration Manager for Dundee Precious Metals Inc., a Toronto based mining and exploration company since August 2005. He worked as independent consulting geologist from October 2003 to August 2005. Mr. Cater is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario. Hirsh, Robert Mr. Robert D. Hirsh serves as Independent Director of Dia Bras Exploration Inc. has a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Western Ontario and a MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University with a major in finance. Mr. Hirsh is the industry head of the mining, energy, telecommunication, and media sectors responsible for origination and primary client coverage of Scotia Capital in Mexico. Prior to this, Mr. Hirsh was vice-president of investment banking, fixed income at Casa de Bolsa Scotia Inverlat. His responsibilities included origination and execution of debt capital markets products, marketing underwriting and distribution capabilities of commercial paper, debentures and medium term notes to corporate clients in Mexico. Mr. Hirsh is an independent director.
Gonzalez, Eduardo Mr. Eduardo Gonzalez serves as Independent Director of Dia Bras Exploration. He has a Masters in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago. He was Chief Financial Officer of the Mining Division/AMC of Grupo Mexico, S.A. de C.V. from 1999 to 2005 and Director & Chief Financial Officer of Southern Copper Company from 2005 to June 2007.
