Name Description

Charles Ergen

Mr. Charles W. Ergen is Executive Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of the Company since 2015. Mr. Ergen co-founded DISH more than 30 years ago and currently acts as Chairman of both DISH and EchoStar. In June 2011, he stepped down from his role as President and CEO of DISH to focus on long-term business development and acquisition tactics in an effort to reach new markets, expand product and service offerings and bolster the company’s customer base. A prominent leader in the satellite and telecommunications industries, Ergen has received numerous accolades for his renowned career as a brilliant entrepreneur. Most recently, he was among the 2012 class of inductees into the Consumer Electronics Hall of Fame, and was named one of Barron’s “World’s Best CEOs” and listed among Forbes “Top 10 CEOs” in 2007. In 2001, Ergen was honored as Frost & Sullivan’s “CEO of the Year in the Satellite Industry” award, and became the first person to win the Rocky Mountain News “Business Person of the Year” for the second time. Instrumental in the fight to allow American consumers access to local channels via satellite, he helped secure the passage of the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act in 1999 and was co-founder of the Satellite Broadcasting Communications Association. Ergen received his Bachelor of Science in General Business and Accounting from the University of Tennessee and his Master of Business Administration from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. An avid mountain climber and member of the Colorado Mountain Club, Ergen has climbed all of the state’s 14 thousand foot peaks, scaled Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Aconcagua in Argentina and the Mount Everest base camp in Nepal.

W. Erik Carlson

Mr. W. Erik Carlson is President and Chief Operating Officer of the company since December 2015. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of DISH Network including Customer Acquisition and Retention, Operations, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Media Sales, Information Technologies, Programming, and Product Management. Mr. Carlson previously served as Executive Vice President, In-Home Service and Manufacturing Operations from February 2008 to December 2015. Mr. Carlson also served as Senior Vice President of Retail Services, a position he held since mid-2006. He joined DISH Network in 1995 and has held operating roles of increasing responsibility over the years.

Steven Swain

Mr. Steven E. Swain is appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of the Company effective October 1, 2014. Mr. Swain served as Senior Vice President of Programming from April 2014 to October 2014, overseeing the acquisition and renewal of all programming content for DISH Network. Mr. Swain joined DISH Network in 2011 as Vice President of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior to DISH Network, Mr. Swain spent more than 15 years working in the telecommunications sector, most recently at CenturyLink, formerly Qwest Communications, where he served in multiple leadership roles in finance, including corporate financial planning and analysis, treasury and investor relations, as well as in network engineering.

Roger Lynch

Mr. Roger J. Lynch is Chief Executive Officer - Sling TV Holding L.L.C. a subsidiary of Dish Network Corporation., since December 2014. Mr. Lynch has served as Executive Vice President, Advanced Technologies for DISH Network since November 2009. Mr. Lynch also served as EchoStar’s Executive Vice President, Advanced Technologies from November 2009 to December 2014. In addition, in July 2012, Mr. Lynch was named Chief Executive Officer of Sling TV Holding L.L.C. Prior to joining DISH Network, Mr. Lynch served as Chairman and CEO of Video Networks International, Ltd., an Internet protocol television (“IPTV”) technology company in the United Kingdom.

Mike McClaskey

Mr. Mike McClaskey is Chief Human Resource Officer, Executive Vice President of the Company since 2014. Mr. McClaskey joined DISH Network in 2007 and previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer until February 2014. Prior to DISH Network, Mr. McClaskey spent 12 years at Perot Systems where he served as Vice President of Infrastructure Solutions and Chief Information Officer. Before joining DISH in 2007, McClaskey spent 12 years at Perot Systems, where he served as the corporation's vice president of infrastructure solutions and chief information officer, responsible for IT strategy and operating customer-facing network, service center and data center outsourcing operations. Under McClaskey's direction, DISH's IT department received CIO magazine's 25th annual CIO 100 award for undertaking a massive enterprise-wide information technology overhaul that advanced DISH's ability to deliver customer service and manage its national operations. The initiative resulted in the largest billing conversion in U.S. telecommunications in many years, the largest cloud-based mobile workforce management system implementation in North America, new IVR and customer care systems, and a new state-of-the-art data center and optical network. In 2013 he was named CIO of the Year by the Denver Business Journal. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Science in Education from Truman State University, where he sits on the Foundation Board. He received his Master's degree from the University of Missouri.

Vivek Khemka

Mr. Vivek Khemka has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of the company, since December 2015. Mr. Khemka previously served as Senior Vice President of Product Management from March 2013 to December 2015. Mr. Khemka also served as Vice President of Customer Technology, a position he held from December 2011 to March 2013. He joined DISH Network in 2009 and has held various roles of increasing responsibility over the years. Before joining DISH Network, Mr. Khemka held various positions at Danaher, Motorola and McKinsey & Co.

Robert Dodge

Mr. Robert Stanton Dodge is Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary of Dish Network Corporation., since June 2007. He is responsible for all legal and government affairs for DISH Network and its subsidiaries. Mr. Dodge has served on the Board of Directors of EchoStar since March 2009. Mr. Dodge also served as EchoStar’s Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary from October 2007 to November 2011 pursuant to a management services agreement between DISH Network and EchoStar. Since joining DISH Network in November 1996, he has held various positions of increasing responsibility in DISH Network’s legal department.

Warren Schlichting

Mr. Warren W. Schlichting has served as Executive Vice President - Marketing, Programming, and Media Sales of DISH Network since December 2015. He is responsible for the acquisition and renewal of all programming content, marketing for DISH branded pay-TV business and the advertising sales division. Mr. Schlichting previously served as Senior Vice President of Programming and Media Sales from October 2014 to December 2015. Mr. Schlichting joined DISH Network in September 2011 as Senior Vice President of Media Sales. Prior to DISH Network, Mr. Schlichting served as Senior Vice President of New Business Development for Comcast from August 2002 to September 2011, leading advanced advertising efforts on multiple media and ad delivery platforms including broadband, interactive television and video-on-demand.

James DeFranco

Mr. James DeFranco is Executive Vice President, Director of Dish Network Corporation since 2009. During the past five years he has held various executive officer and director positions with DISH Network and our subsidiaries. During 1980, Mr. DeFranco co-founded DISH Network with Charles W. Ergen and Cantey M. Ergen.

Thomas Cullen

Mr. Thomas A. Cullen. Mr. Cullen has served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for DISH Network since July 2011. Mr. Cullen previously served as Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Programming from April 2009 to July 2011 and as Executive Vice President, Corporate Development from December 2006 to April 2009. Before joining DISH Network, Mr. Cullen held various executive positions in the Telecommunications, Cable and Wireless industries.

Bernard Han

Mr. Bernard L. Han is Executive Vice President - Strategic Planning of the Company since December d 2015. Mr. Han previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from April 2009 to December 2015. Mr. Han also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of DISH Network from September 2006 to April 2009. Mr. Han also served as EchoStar’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from January 2008 to June 2010 pursuant to a management services agreement between DISH Network and EchoStar. Before joining DISH Network, Mr. Han served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Northwest Airlines, Inc.

Michael Kelly

Mr. Michael Kelly is Executive Vice President of Dish Network Corporation., since January 2014. Mr. Kelly served as the company's Executive Vice President, Direct, Commercial and Advertising Sales from December 2005 until May 2011 and as Executive Vice President of DISH Network Service L.L.C. and Customer Service from February 2004 until December 2005.

Brian Neylon

Mr. Brian V. Neylon has served as Executive Vice President, Acquisition and Retention of the company since December 2015. He is responsible for all acquisition and sales operations functions for DISH Network. Mr. Neylon previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales from June 2011 to December 2015. Since first joining DISH Network in September 1991, he has held various positions of increasing responsibility within various sales and distribution teams.

John Swieringa

Mr. John W. Swieringa has served as Executive Vice President - Operations since December 2015. He is responsible for the In-Home Services organization, customer service and billing, and information technology for DISH Network. Mr. Swieringa previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer from March 2014 to December 2015 and as Vice President of Information Technology Customer Applications from March 2010 to March 2014. Mr. Swieringa joined DISH Network in December 2007 serving in finance department. Before joining DISH Network, Mr. Swieringa held corporate finance positions in various Fortune 500 companies.

Paul Orban

Mr. Paul W. Orban is Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer of the Company since December 2015. He is responsible for all aspects of accounting department including external financial reporting, technical accounting policy, income tax accounting and internal controls for DISH Network. Mr. Orban served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller from September 2006 to December 2015 and as Vice President and Corporate Controller from September 2003 to September 2006. He also served as EchoStar’s Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller from 2008 to 2012 pursuant to a management services agreement between DISH Network and EchoStar. Since joining DISH Network in 1996, Mr. Orban has held various positions of increasing responsibility in accounting department. Prior to DISH Network, Mr. Orban was an auditor with Arthur Andersen LLP.

Cantey Ergen

Mrs. Cantey M. Ergen is Director and Senior Advisor of Dish Network Corporation., since May 2001. Mrs. Ergen has served on the Board since May 2001, is currently a Senior Advisor to us and has had a variety of operational responsibilities with us since our formation. Mrs. Ergen served as a member of the board of trustees of Children’s Hospital Colorado from 2001 to 2012, and is now an honorary lifetime member. Mrs. Ergen has also served on the board of trustees of Wake Forest University since 2009. During 1980, Mrs. Ergen co-founded DISH Network with her future spouse, Charles W. Ergen, and James DeFranco. The Board concluded that Mrs. Ergen should continue to serve on the Board due, among other things, to her knowledge of DISH Network since its inception and her service to us in a multitude of roles over the years.

David Moskowitz

Mr. David K. Moskowitz is Director and Senior Advisor of Dish Network Corporation. Mr. Moskowitz is one of Senior Advisors and was an Executive Vice President as well as our Secretary and General Counsel until 2007. Mr. Moskowitz joined us in March 1990. He was elected to the Board in 1998. Mr. Moskowitz performs certain business functions for us and our subsidiaries from time to time. Mr. Moskowitz served as a member of the board of directors of EchoStar from its formation in October 2007 until May 2012.

Carl Vogel

Mr. Carl E. Vogel, CPA, is Director and Senior Advisor of Dish Network Corporation., since May 2005. Mr. Vogel has served on the Board since May 2005 and is currently a Senior Advisor to us. Mr. Vogel is also a private investor as well as a senior advisor to certain private equity funds active in media and telecom investments globally. He served as President from September 2006 to February 2008 and served as Vice Chairman from June 2005 to March 2009. From October 2007 to March 2009, Mr. Vogel served as the Vice Chairman of the board of directors of, and as a Senior Advisor to, EchoStar. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Vogel served as the President and CEO of Charter, a publicly-traded company providing cable television and broadband services to approximately six million customers. Prior to joining Charter, Mr. Vogel worked as an executive officer in various capacities for companies affiliated with Liberty Media Corporation from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Vogel was one of executive officers from 1994 to 1997, including serving as President from 1995 to 1997. Mr. Vogel is also currently serving on the boards of directors of Shaw Communications Inc. (which he joined in 2006), Universal Electronics, Inc. (which he joined in 2009), Ascent Capital Group, Inc. (f/k/a Ascent Media Corporation, which he joined in 2009), Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (which he joined in 2011) and AMC Networks Inc. (which he joined in 2013). The Board concluded that Mr. Vogel should continue to serve on the Board due, among other things, to his knowledge of DISH Network from his service as a director and officer and his experience in the telecommunications and related industries from his service over the years as a director or officer with a number of different companies in those industries.

George Brokaw

Mr. George R. Brokaw, J.D., has been appointed as Independent Director of DISH Network Corporation, effective October 7, 2013. Mr. Brokaw joined the Board in October 2013 and is a member of our Audit Committee and Nominating Committee. Mr. Brokaw is currently a Managing Partner of the investment firm Trafelet Brokaw & Co., LLC. Until September 30, 2013, Mr. Brokaw served as Managing Director of the Highbridge Growth Equity Fund at Highbridge Principal Strategies, LLC (“Highbridge”). Prior to joining Highbridge in 2012, Mr. Brokaw was a Managing Partner and Head of Private Equity at Perry Capital, L.L.C. (“Perry”). Prior to joining Perry, Mr. Brokaw was Managing Director (Mergers & Acquisitions) of Lazard Frères & Co. LLC (“Lazard”) from 2003 to 2005. Mr. Brokaw joined the board of directors of Alico, Inc. in November 2013 and continues to serve in that role. Mr. Brokaw previously served on the board of directors of North American Energy Partners Inc. from 2006 to 2013.

Steven Goodbarn

Mr. Steven R. Goodbarn is Independent Director of Dish Network Corporation., since December 2002. Mr. Goodbarn joined the Board in December 2002 and is a member of our Audit Committee, where he serves as our “audit committee financial expert”, and our Executive Compensation Committee (the “Compensation Committee”). Since July 2002, Mr. Goodbarn has served as director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Secure64 Software Corporation, a company he co-founded. Mr. Goodbarn was Chief Financial Officer of Janus Capital Corporation (“Janus”) from 1992 to 2000, where he was a member of the executive committee and served on the board of directors of many Janus corporate and investment entities. Mr. Goodbarn is a CPA and spent 12 years at Price Waterhouse prior to joining Janus. The Board has determined that Mr. Goodbarn meets the independence and “audit committee financial expert” requirements of NASDAQ and SEC rules and regulations. Mr. Goodbarn served as a member of the board of directors of EchoStar from its formation in October 2007 until November 2008. The Board concluded that Mr. Goodbarn should continue to serve on the Board due, among other things, to his knowledge of DISH Network from his service as a director since 2002 and his expertise in accounting, auditing, finance and risk management that he brings to the Board, in particular in light of his background as a CPA and his prior experience serving as Chief Financial Officer of Janus.

Charles Lillis

Mr. Charles M. Lillis is Independent Director of the Company. Mr. Lillis joined the Board in November 2013 and is a member of our Audit Committee and Compensation Committee. Since 2011, Mr. Lillis has served as an advisor to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. (“Wells Fargo”). Previously, Mr. Lillis was a co-founder and managing partner of Castle Pines Capital LLC (“Castle Pines Capital”) from 2004 to 2011, a private equity concern and a financial services entity. Castle Pines Capital was acquired by Wells Fargo in 2011. Mr. Lillis was also previously a co-founder and principal of LoneTree Capital Management LLC (“LoneTree Capital Management”), a private equity investing group formed in 2000. Prior to LoneTree Capital Management, Mr. Lillis served as Chairman of the board of directors and Chief Executive Officer of MediaOne Group, Inc. from its inception in 1995 through its acquisition by AT&T Corp. in 2000. Mr. Lillis also has served on the boards of the following public companies: Charter Communications Inc. (“Charter”) from 2003 to 2005; Medco Health Solutions, Inc. from 2005 to 2012; SUPERVALU Inc. from 1995 to 2011; The Williams Companies Inc. from 2000 to 2009; and Washington Mutual, Inc. from 2005 to 2009. he Board concluded that Mr. Lillis should continue to serve on the Board due, among other things, to his financial and managerial experience.

Afshin Mohebbi

Mr. Afshin Mohebbi is Independent Director of the Company., effective September 8, 2014. Mr. Mohebbi is a private investor and advisor to public and private companies. Mr. Mohebbi has been a Senior Advisor to TPG Capital since March 2003. Prior to TPG Capital, Mr. Mohebbi was President and Chief Operating Officer of Qwest Communications International, Inc. (“Qwest”) from April 2001 to December 2002. From July 2000 to April 2001, Mr. Mohebbi served as President, Worldwide Operations of Qwest. From June 1999 to July 2000, Mr. Mohebbi served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Qwest prior to its merger with US WEST, Inc. Before joining Qwest, Mr. Mohebbi served as President and managing director of the United Kingdom Markets for British Telecom and was a member of its management board from 1997 to 1999. Prior to British Telecom, Mr. Mohebbi served as Vice President-Marketing for SBC Communications, Inc., following its acquisition of Pacific Bell in 1997. Mr. Mohebbi began his career with Pacific Bell in 1983, where he held a variety of positions, including Vice President-Business Markets. Mr. Mohebbi previously served on the board of directors of Hanaro Telecom Incorporated from 2005 to 2007 and the board of directors of BearingPoint, Inc. from 2001 to 2005. Mr. Mohebbi also serves on the boards of directors of several private companies.

Tom Ortolf

Mr. Tom A. Ortolf is Independent Director of Dish Network Corporation., since May 2005. Mr. Ortolf joined the Board in May 2005 and is a member of our Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, and Nominating Committee. Mr. Ortolf has been the President of CMC, a privately held investment management firm, for over twenty years. The Board has determined that Mr. Ortolf meets the independence requirements of NASDAQ and SEC rules and regulations. Mr. Ortolf has also served as a member of the board of directors of EchoStar since its formation in October 2007. The Board concluded that Mr. Ortolf should continue to serve on the Board due, among other things, to his knowledge of DISH Network from his service as a director since 2005 and his expertise in finance, business and risk management, in particular in light of his experience as an executive with CMC.
