Name Description

Kang Hoo Lim

Tan Sri Dato' Lim Kang Hoo serves as Executive Chairman of the Board of Ekovest Bhd since November 22, 2010. He is the co-founder of Ekovest Berhad and has been on the Board of Directors since March 30, 1988. He is a businessman with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He started his involvement in the construction industry after completing his secondary education, assisting the family construction business. Later, he teamed up with Mr. Khoo Nang Seng to form a civil engineering and construction partnership. At present, he is an Executive Director of Knusford Berhad, Non-Executive Director of PLS Plantations Berhad, both of which are public companies listed on the Bursa Malaysia. He is also a director of several other private limited companies.

Keng Cheng Lim

Mr. Lim Keng Cheng serves as Managing Director and Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since May 16, 2011. He has completed his Form 6 education. He has more than 30 years’ experience in diverse range of industries which includes building, civil, design and build turnkey construction projects, machinery trading and property development, having started his career immediately after his high school education. He began his career as a director in a private limited infrastructure company and was responsible behind the success of the infrastructure works in Felda Sahabat, Sabah which is twice the size of Singapore. He also steered the construction of the Labuan Financial Park, a world-class offshore financial haven. Soon after, Mr Lim oversaw several design and build projects namely Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn in Batu Pahat, Johor whereby both projects were completed in time despite the technical and social challenges faced. He also led the design and build project of the Iskandar Coastal Highway, a high profile infrastructure project in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor. With his experience in infrastructure projects, Mr Lim also contributed significantly to the success of the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway (DUKE) and was instrumental in the supplemental concession agreement for the extension of the DUKE. He was formerly an Executive Director of Tebrau Teguh Berhad, a public listed investment holding company with its principal activities in property development, construction and property management services, and was also the former Executive Director cum Chief Executive Officer of Knusford Berhad, a public listed company principally engaged in machinery trading. Mr. Lim also holds directorship in several private limited companies which includes amongst others, Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Nang Seng Khoo

Mr. Khoo Nang Seng serves as Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since January 2, 1985. He was trained in Technical College, Kuala Lumpur in civil engineering. Upon graduation, he joined and served the Jabatan Kerja Raya for six years. In 1970, he ventured into the construction business on his own. Subsequently, in 1972, he teamed up with Y. Bhg. Dato’ Lim Kang Hoo to form a partnership. At present, he is an Executive Director of Knusford Berhad, a public company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia and also a director of several other private limited companies.

Hoe Lim

Mme. Lim Hoe serves as Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since May 16, 2011. She completed her secondary school education. She joined Ekovest Berhad in 1988 and has since risen to the position of Senior General Manager. She has more than 39 years of working experience in various industries, gaining exposure in the field of Finance, Management, Human Resource and Corporate matters. She is one of the pioneer staff during the formative years of Ekovest Berhad. She is also a Director of several private limited companies.

Thiam Wah Lim

Hui Ling Kang

Ms. Kang Hui Ling serves as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director and Investor Relations Contact Officer of Ekovest Bhd. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) Degree from University of Malaya in 1997. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Since her graduation, she acquired four years of audit experience in an audit firm. As audit senior associate, she also gained exposure in the field of operational audit and financial due diligence. Subsequently, she joined a consultancy firm as the Finance and Admin Manager where she was responsible for establishing and implementing the company’s accounting and operating policies and procedures. She is presently a partner of a professional firm registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She is also an independent non-executive director of Knusford Berhad and PLS Plantations Berhad. She is a member of the Nomination Committee and Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Yoon Sam Chow

Mr. Chow Yoon Sam is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since May 16, 2013. He graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Hons from University Malaya in 1971. He was a member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia and Board of Engineers Malaysia. During his tenure with Felda, he was the Project Engineer on design and construction of Felda oil palm mills and rubber factories. Subsequently he was the Deputy Director of engineering involved in administration and management of Felda development projects. In 1990 to 1994 he was Project Consultant and Project Manager for Felda joint venture projects. In Felda Ekovest Sdn Bhd he was the Senior General Manager from 1994-2004. He is also an independent non-executive director of Tebrau Teguh Berhad.

Wai Kuen Lee

Mr. Lee Wai Kuen is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since October 7, 2013. Mr. Lee holds a Law Degree from University of London and MBA Degree from Heriot-Watt University. Mr. Lee was an Executive Director of Protech Yu (Asia) Sdn Bhd, subsidiary of Goldis Berhad from 2007 to 2010. He was involved in the day to day operation of the aquaculture business, in charge of farm development, farm operating and marketing. Prior to his involvement in the aquaculture industry, he was attached with Bumi Hiway & Selia Group of Companies as Head of Legal Department. Mr. Lee has more than 18 years of legal and corporate experience in companies involved in the field of property development, construction and road concession. He is currently the Executive Director of Aqua Genesis Sdn Bhd and KL Fish Market Sdn Bhd which are involved in the aquaculture and supply chain for quality seafood. He is a Member of the Audit Committee.

Ts-Fei Lim

Ms. Lim Ts-Fei is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since May 16, 2013. She graduated with a Degree in Bachelor of Law from the University of Hull, England and was called to the English Bar as a barrister in 1988. Upon her return to Malaysia, she commenced her chambering with Chye, Chow, Chung & Co., a legal firm in Kuala Lumpur. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1989 and continued to practice as a legal assistant in the same firm for eight years. She is presently a partner of the firm.

Kai Fatt Wong

Dr. Wong Kai Fatt is Independent Non-Executive Director of Ekovest Bhd since May 16, 2013. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Singapore in 1972. Dr. Wong worked in Johor Bahru General Hospital and Ipoh General Hospital for three years before venturing into his own private practice in Kuala Lumpur.
