He has been Chairman of the Board and Trustee since 1995 and Vice President since 1992. He is Chairman of the Board, Member—Office of the Chairman and Director of Franklin Resources, Inc. He is Director of Templeton Worldwide, Inc.; and officer and/or director or trustee, as the case may be, of some of the other subsidiaries of Franklin Resources, Inc. and of 41 of the investment companies in Franklin Templeton Investments.

 Mr. Mark H. Otani serves as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer of Templeton Emerging Markets Fund since 2009.
