Name Description

Alain de Rouvray

Dr. Alain de Rouvray has served as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Group Executive Committee of ESI Group SA since January 28, 1991. He is Chairman of Company's Strategy Committee and Member of Technology and Marketing Committee, as well as Member of Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committee. Dr. de Rouvray was a Research Engineer at the Ecole Polytechnique in the Solid Mechanics Laboratory in 1972 and then from 1972 to 1976 was Director of the Advanced Mechanics Department of the Societe Informatique Internationale, a subsidiary of Informatique Scientifique du Groupe CISI et du Commissariat a l’Energie Atomique. He created ESI in 1973 and was the Chief Executive Officer and Commercial Director from 1973 to 1990. He graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Paris and Universite de Sorbonne in 1967 and holds a Ph.D degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1971.

Vincent Chaillou

Dr. Vincent Chaillou is Member of the Group Executive Committee, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Edition Operations, Director and Acting Executive Vice President of Product Operations at ESI Group SA. He became a Director on July 1, 2004. He holds a Ph.D in civil engineering from the Ecole des Ponts et Chaussees (1973) and an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique (1971). Before joining ESI Group in 1994, he was General Manager of the AEC business unit of Computervision for worldwide operations (which has now merged with PTC). During his 16 years with Computervision, he served several management positions in sales, marketing and general management, specifically of Asia-Pacific. From 1994-1998, he was Regional Vice-President for the American territory within ESI Group, and since May 2004 President and CEO of ESI Software India and ESI United States R&D.

Laurent Bastian

Mr. Laurent Bastian serves as Financial & Administrative Director of ESI Group SA since July 15, 2013. He holds an Advanced Research Diploma in Physics from the Ecole Normale Superieure, a Civil Engineering degree from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees, and a Diploma of Accounting and Finance (DPECF). Mr. Bastian started his professional career in 1993 as a civil engineer at Vinci. From 1997 to 2003, he worked with Arthur Andersen in audit and consulting. In 2003, he joined the DCNS group and held different positions in the Group Financial Controlling department before taking in 2009 the post as Head of Group Controlling at Albioma (former Sechilienne Sidec).

Christopher Saint John

Dr. Christopher Saint John has served as Member of the Group Executive Committee, Director of the Distribution Division and Field Operations, Chief Operating Officer of ESI Group SA since December 4, 2013. Prior to that he served as Member of the Group Executive Committee and Director of the Distribution Division and Field Operations of the Company. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Imperial College in London. Prior to joining ESI Group in July 2008, Dr. Saint John served in several executive roles at MSC.Software, including Head of Operations in Europe and later in Asia Pacific. He brings 30 years of experience in general management in the CAE and enterprise simulations software industry.

Lech Tomasz Kisielewicz

Dr. Lech Tomasz Kisielewicz is a Member of the Group Executive Committee and Executive Vice President Service Operationsof ESI Group SA. He is also CEO of ESI Group subsidiaries: Nihon ESI in Japan, Hankook ESI in South Korea and Zhong Guo ESI in China. An Engineering graduate of the University of Liege (1974) and Doctor in Mechanical Engineering of Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts et Metiers (1985), Dr. Kisielewicz joined ESI SA in 1988 after having held positions of Project Engineer and Project Manager in Venezuela with the company Sybetra, in Belgium with the company Electrobel, in France with the companies Framatome and Impell Inc., and in the USA for the company EDS Nuclear. Dr. Kisielewicz is a co-founder of Nihon ESI in Japan.

Niels Kimmel

Argiris Kamoulakos

Dr. Argiris Kamoulakos is the Scientific Director of ESI Group SA. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics from London University (City University) in 1980 and of two Masters of Science, one in Aeronautics and Astronautics and the second in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in Boston in 1982. In 1987 he obtained a Ph.D. in Aeronautical Structures from Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine in London. Dr. Kamoulakos joined ESI Group in 1994 bringing more than 20 years of industrial experience in the applications of the Finite Element Method. His experience covers linear/non linear as well as static/dynamic industrial application developments. He worked for WS Atkins R&D, ZENTEC (MARC UK), SAMTECH and SONACA. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS) and a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

Yunus Shah

Dr. Yunus Shah is Operational Vice President for Product Engineering of ESI Group SA. He holds a Ph.D. from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Before joining ESI Group in 2006, Dr. Shah has worked with a number of technology companies in a consulting capacity including ESI Group to assist them to enhance their technical offerings to the market. Dr. Shah brings over 20 years research and working experience in computational modeling, simulation, and numerical analysis of complex systems. Dr. Shah has developed methods in numerical discretization, error estimation, and adaptive computational solution techniques. He was Corporate Officer and Technology Executive at Ansys Corporation.

Olivier Pradal

Mr. Olivier Pradal is Member of the Group Executive Committee and Director of Human Resources of ESI Group SA. He is a graduate in political science from Institut des Sciences Politiques Paris and also holds two BAs in Law. Mr. Pradal brings an experience culled from software editors Open Text and Hummingbird where he was HR Director for Southern Europe, and Leonard’s Logic, a start-up subsequently acquired by Hummingbird where he created the HR and the legal departments.

Cristel de Rouvray

Mrs. Cristel de Rouvray has been a Director of ESI Group SA since July 8 1999. She is also Chairwoman of Company's Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committee and Member of the Strategy Committee. She is a graduate from Stanford University and London School of Economics where she gained a Doctorate in Economics. She holds several other mandates, including Vice-President at College Track in Oakland (California) since October 2005, consultant in Webster Pacific in San Francisco since March 2011.

Jacques Dubois

Mr. Jacques Dubois has served as Director of ESI Group SA since January 28, 1991. He co-founded ESI in 1973 and served as Director of Research from 1973 to 1990. He participated in creating ESI GmbH and ESI North America, the German and American subsidiaries of the Group respectively. From 1994 to 1998, he was Managing Director in charge of Special Projects in the Research and Development department. He graduated from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris in 1968 and holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley obtained in 1972.

Michel Barbier de la Serre

Mr. Michel Barbier de la Serre has served as Independent Director of ESI Group SA since June 30, 2005. He is also Member of the Company's Audit Committee. He has been Chairman and Managing Director of Aluthea SA, a French holding company of a group of industrial aluminium factories, since 2001. He graduated from Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris, ENA and holds a Masters degree in Economics. He holds several other mandates, including Chairman of Alutec and Director of Association Ethic and Fondeurs de France, among others.

Francis Jacques Bernard

Mr. Francis Jacques Bernard has served as Independent Director of ESI Group SA since 2007. He has a degree in Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Aeronautique. He is Co-Founder of Dassault Systemes. He was Member of the Company's Strategic Committee and Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committee, as well as Chairman of the Technology and Marketing Committee. Mr. Bernard also serves as Director of DEM-Solutions, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CapHorn Invest and was Chairman of the Association des Anciens de Dassault Systemes (DSAA) until June 2012.

Eric d'Hotelans

Mr. Eric d'Hotelans has served as Independent Director of ESI Group SA since December 5, 2008. He is also Member of Company's Audit Committee and Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committee. He began his career in Information Technology sector within Tandem as Head of Finance-Europe. From 1997 to 2003, he became Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of CMG's subsidiary. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mistergooddeal SA and Home Shopping Services SA, amongst other positions.

Charles-Helen des Isnards

Mr. Charles-Helen des Isnards has been an Independent Director of ESI Group SA since 2007. He is also Member of Company's Strategy Committee, Compensation, Nominating and Governance Committee, as well as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Othman Laraki

Mr. Othman Laraki has served as Independent Director of ESI Group SA since 2007. He is also Member of the Company's Technology and Marketing Committee. He holds a degree in Financial Engineering from MIT and a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. He began his career in the field of New Technologies of Information and Communication before joining Google as Director of Projects. In 2008 he has left Google and founded MixerLabs, which was acquired by Twitter. Mr. Laraki is currently head of geolocalisation at Twitter.
