John Burrus

 Mr. John E. Burrus is Non-Executive Independent Chairman of the Board of ESSA Bancorp Inc. He has served as Chairman of the Board of ESSA Bank & Trust since 1989. In 2005, Mr. Burrus retired as the owner of John E. Burrus Landscape, which designed, sold, installed and maintained landscapes for private homes, and commercial properties in Monroe County, Easton and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Mr. Burrus is a graduate of Rutgers University. Mr. Burrus has been a director of the Company since its inception and a director of ESSA Bank & Trust since 1970.

Gary Olson

 Mr. Gary S. Olson is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of ESSA Bancorp Inc and President and Chief Executive Officer of ESSA Bank & Trust a subsidiary of the company. Mr. Olson began his career at ESSA Bank & Trust in 1977. Mr. Olson is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University.  Mr. Frederick E. Kutteroff is Independent Director of ESSA Bancorp Inc. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Keystone Savings Bank from 1990 until his retirement in 2003. Mr. Kutteroff holds a Certificate of Business Administration from Temple University. Mr. Kutteroff has been a director of the Company since its inception and a director of ESSA Bank & Trust since 2005. Mr. Kutteroff’s experience in the banking sector led to his appointment to the Board of Directors in 2005.

He is a licensed architect registered to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina. Mr. Schoonover served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 through 1967. Mr. Schoonover has been a director of the Company since its inception and a director of ESSA Bank & Trust since 1989.

Robert Selig

 Mr. Robert C. Selig, Jr., is Independent Director of ESSA Bancorp Inc. He has served as President of Selig Construction Company since 1972. Selig Construction Company is in the business of building primary and vacation residences. Mr. Selig is a graduate of West Side Area Vocational/Technical School. Mr. Selig has been a director of the ESSA Bank & Trust since 1990. Mr. Selig’s experience as a local businessman focusing on real estate matters is of great value to the Board of Directors.

Joseph Svetik

 Mr. Joseph T. Svetik is Independent Director of ESSA Bancorp, Inc. Mr. Svetik previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of First Star Bancorp and First Star Bank. Mr. Svetik also served as Chairman of First Star Bancorp’s Board of Directors. Prior to his employment at First Star Bancorp, Mr. Svetik served as Chief Financial Officer of Third Federal Savings Bank. Mr. Svetik is a certified public accountant.

William Viechnicki

 Dr. William A. Viechnicki, DDS, is Independent Director of ESSA Bancorp Inc. He has been in the private practice of orthodontics in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania since 1971. Dr. Viechnicki is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Temple University School of Dentistry where he serves as a professor of orthodontics. Dr. Viechnicki has been a director of the Company since its inception and a director of ESSA Bank & Trust since 1981.
