Name Description

Burkhard Hofer

 Dr. Burkhard Hofer has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EVN AG since January 20, 2011. He also works as Chairman of the Company's Working Committee and Personnel Committee, as well as Member of the Audit Committee since January 20, 2011. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from May 2008 to January 20, 2011, and prior to that he was Spokesman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company from March 7, 2005 to May 2008. He had executive responsibility for the Supply business unit and the Environmental Services business segment, as well as Group functions as procurement and purchasing, controlling, customer relations, finance, Group accounting, including investor relations, general administration and corporate affairs, information and communications and human resources until January 20, 2011. Dr. Hofer has been with the Company since 1980. He holds a Doctorate degree in Law. He also serves as Member of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Wien Aktiengesellschaft and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HYPO NOE Gruppe Bank AG.

Peter Layr

 Dr. Peter Layr has been Spokesman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer of EVN AG since January 20, 2011. He joined the Management Board as Member in October 1999. He has been with the Company since 1978. He is Doctor of Technical Sciences. Dr. Layr has executive responsibility for Network and South East Europe business units, as well as for data processing, environmental controlling and safety. He also serves as Member of the Supervisory Board of Verbund AG.

He has executive responsibility for Energy Trade and Supply and Energy Supply South East Europe segments, as well as for Group functions controlling, customer relations, finance, Group accounting (incl. investor relations), general administration and corporate affairs, information and communication and human resources.
