| Ornskov, Flemming | Dr. Flemming Ornskov was nominated as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Evotec AG, effective at the next Annual General Meeting on August 28, 2008. As Corporate Vice President and Global President, Pharmaceuticals, at Bausch & Lomb, he is responsible for the company's prescription and generic pharmaceuticals, as well as its general eye health and vitamins businesses. Previously, Dr. Flemming Ornskov was first Chairman, then CEO and President of LifeCycle Pharma, an emerging cardiovascular and transplantation specialty company. Prior to this, he served as CEO and President of a biotech start-up Ikaria, Inc. From 2002 to 2005, Dr. Flemming Ornskov was President of the Ophthalmics Business Unit for Novartis. | Maleck, Klaus | Dr. Klaus Maleck is Member of the Management Board and Chief Financial Officer of Evotec AG since November 28, 2007. Dr. Klaus Maleck has been Executive Vice President, Finance and Member of the Executive Committee of Evotec AG since April 2007. Prior to joining Evotec, he built up BioGeneriX AG, which he co-founded in 2000. In his function as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Business Development, he was responsible for in-licensing advanced development candidates and for building a product pipeline of up to six clinical development programs and several non-clinical projects. He secured financing through extensive partnering and closed several co-marketing deals with big pharma, and thus was able to considerably increase the shareholder value. Dr. Klaus Maleck worked as Senior Consultant at McKinsey & Co. from 1999 to 2000, and as a Scientist in the genomics field at Novartis, Inc. from 1996 to 1999. He is also a lecturer at the Mannheim University in Economics. Dr. Klaus Maleck received his Ph.D. in biotechnology from the Max-Planck-Insitute Cologne, and holds a Masters degree in biotechnology from the Ecole Superieure de Biotechnologie in Strasbourg, France. In addition, he received post-graduate training in economics at Ashridge College in the UK, and at Swiss-based Educatis University, where he earned an MBA degree. He was a fellow of the Conseil Regional d'Alsace, the Daimler-Benz-Foundation and the German Scholarship Foundation. |
| Polywka, Mario | Dr. Mario Polywka is Member of the Management Board since November 28, 2007 and Chief Operating Officer since 2004. Dr. Mario Polywka is Chief Operating Officer and has been Member of the Executive Committee of Evotec AG since 2004. Between 2002 and 2004 Dr. Mario Polywka ran a number of spin-off companies in the Oxford area, and still serves as Chairman on the boards of Pharminox and Glycoform. Following the merger of EVOTEC BioSystems AG with Oxford Asymmetry International plc (OAI) in 2000 he was Chief Operating Officer until 2002. Dr. Mario Polywka was a Founding Chemist of OAI in 1991, became Director of Chemistry in 1993 and Board Director in 1996. In 1999 he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and in 2001 Chief Executive Officer of OAI plc. From 1989 to 1991 he worked as Senior Chemist at Oxford Chirality Ltd, the forerunner to OAI. Dr. Mario Polywka received a doctorate from the University of Oxford in mechanistic organometallic chemistry and continued at Oxford with post-doctoral studies on the biosynthesis of Penicillins. He held a number of college lectureships at Oxford University between 1988 and 1994. Dr. Mario Polywka is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has a number of publications and patents mainly in the field of asymmetric synthesis. |
| Gillmore, Charmion | Ms. Charmion Gillmore has been Senior Vice President Human Resources & Internal Communications at Evotec AG since September 2007. Prior to this, her most recent appointment was as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Internal Communications for Mayne Pharma. She joined the Executive team to work on Mayne's transition from an Australian generics business to a London listed, oncology speciality company. | Hennecke, Anne | Ms. Anne Hennecke joined Evotec AG in 1999. She is Senior Vice President Investor Relations & Corporate Communications and Member of the Executive Committee of Evotec AG. | Kelly, Michael | Dr. Michael G Kelly has been appointed President, Renovis, Inc. and Member of the Senior Management of Evotec in May 2008, following the acquisition of Renovis by Evotec. | Kemp, John | Dr. John A. Kemp is Chief Research and Development Officer and Member of Evotec AG's Executive Committee. He joined the Company in July 2002 as CEO of Evotec Neurosciences GmbH (ENS). Prior to this he spent almost 20 years within the pharmaceutical industry, where he gained considerable experience in progressing projects from target initiation through to entry into the clinic. From the beginning of 2000 until joining ENS, Dr. John A. Kemp was Vice President and Head of CNS Research at Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel, Switzerland and prior to that he spent six years as Research Area Head for Neurodegenerative Diseases at Roche. | Tanner, Mary | Ms. Mary C. Tanner has been Member of the Supervisory Board of Evotec AG since January 2005. She has devoted 22 years to the health care and consumer products industry, as Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers, both global investment banks. In 2004 Ms. Mary C. Tanner founded Life Sciences Partners, which specializes in healthcare investment and advisory work, following her retirement from Bear Stearns in the same year.
