Mr. Edward B. Meyercord, III is Independent Chairman of the Board of Extreme Networks Inc. Mr. Meyercord has served as one of directors since October 2009. Mr. Meyercord currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Critical Alert Systems LLC, a private company that provides wireless communications services, where he has served since July 2010. Prior to Critical Alert Systems, he was the founder and President of Council Rock Advisors LLC, a private company that provides advisory services. From December 2006 until January 2009, Mr. Meyercord served as Chief Executive Officer of Cavalier Telephone & TV, a privately held voice and data services. Prior to the sale to Cavalier Telephone & TV in December 2006, Mr. Meyercord served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Talk America, Inc., a publicly traded provider of phone and internet services to consumers and small businesses. Mr. Meyercord also serves on the board of directors of Tollgrade. Mr. Meyercord received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and his MBA from New York University. |

Previous positions included that of President and CEO of Multi-Link, EVP Global Sales at Symmetricom and a 16 year career with Nortel Networks where she held titles of President, Micom Communications Corporation (a Nortel data subsidiary), Vice President Business Segments, and Vice President Sales and Marketing Wiltel. Shemwell has a proven track record of being able to grow revenue and improve gross margins. Shemwell currently serves on the board of directors for the North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization, VoodooVox, Inc., and she is an associate board member for Southern Methodist University's (SMU) Cox School of Business. Recently, Merchant has shaped the company's Open Fabric data center strategy for open networking for virtualized data center and cloud switching, Software Defined Networking (SDN) and the Company's flagship software platform, ExtremeXOS(R), which supports a set of APIs, networked applications, and OpenFlow tools enabling customization, more efficient management and secure Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) at the network edge. He has also authored a number of industry articles regarding emerging data center and fabric technologies and was a keynote speaker at the 2012 Open Networking Summit covering SDN technologies (view video here). Ms. Marykay Wells has been appointed as Chief Information Officer of Extreme Networks, Inc. Wells is responsible for the IT strategy and operations spanning the company's global operations. She brings 25 years of industry experience and most recently served as the CIO at Tekelec for five years, where she was responsible for IT, business transformation, procurement and real estate. Prior to Tekelec, Wells spent 19 years in various positions at Nortel Networks, having held the titles of vice president of Global Applications and Interim CIO. |

Prior to joining Extreme Networks, Dr. Cato was Director of Strategic Alliances for Elster Solutions from August 2010 to June 2011 and had his own business consulting practice under Timewater Group, LLC from February 2009 to August 2010. From 2006 to February 2009, Dr. Cato held leadership roles in Tekelec, a hardware and software solutions company, including Vice President of Market Development, Vice President of Product Management, and Vice President of Strategic Solutions. Dr. Cato has also held leadership roles in research and development and product management for Arsenal Digital Solutions and Nortel Networks. Garber most recently led the HR function for Avaya Government Solutions and previously served as the vice president of Talent Management for Avaya. Mr. Joe Novak has been appointed as Vice President - Customer Service of Extreme Networks Inc. He is responsible for shaping the customer experience and support teams. Novak joins the company from Allscripts, a provider of electronic health records, where he served as vice president of client support operations. He was responsible for organizational efficiencies, policy, process and client experience improvement programs. Prior to Allscripts, Novak spent more than a decade at Cisco in the service organization, overseeing its East Coast TAC center in Raleigh, NC as vice president of US/Canada Technical Services Delivery. Novak has more than 20 years of industry experience in telecommunications and computer networking also having worked at Northern Telecom, NYNEX and Universal Communications. |

Mr. Maury Austin is Independent Director of Extreme Networks Inc., since April 2012. Mr. Austin serves as a strategic advisor for technology-oriented businesses. From March 2008 to December 2011, Mr. Austin served as Chief Financial Officer of MIPS Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded provider of processor architectures and cores for digital home, networking and mobile applications.
