Inc., the Yadkin Valley Company and the North Carolina Community Foundation of Wake County. She also works with the YMCA of the Triangle on its long-range planning and personnel committees and as treasurer of the Frank B. and Ella Ann Holding Foundation. She also served on the steering committees for the 2001 and 2007 U.S. Women's Open Golf Championships. She earned bachelor's degrees (1985) in English and Economics and an MBA (1990) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |

McCoy has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of First Citizens Bancshares Inc, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First-Citizens Bank & Trust Company, effective April 1, 2013. Mr. McCoy previously served as Chief Financial Officer of RBC Bank (USA), Raleigh, North Carolina, from 2009 until March 2, 2012, when it was acquired by PNC Financial Services Group. Mr. McCoy served in a transitional role for PNC Bank until March 31, 2012. He served in various positions with Wachovia Bank, N.A., Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and its successors, from 1981 until 2009, including service as Chief Financial Officer of that bank's Mortgage and Retail Credit Division from 2007 to 2009. During 2012, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Carolina Condrey Group (agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company), Raleigh, North Carolina, until he was first employed by the Bank during December 2012. McCoy holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Westminster College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago. He also completed Wachovia's senior management program at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Before starting his career in banking, McCoy spent six years in the U.S. Army. |
