Name Description

Christopher Ezeh

Chf. Christopher Ikechi Ezeh, MFR, has served as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Fidelity Bank Plc since March 16, 2006. He is Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Institute of Directors (IOD), Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (CMA) and Member of the British Institute of Management. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Enugu State University. He started his career with Chrysler (UK) Limited in 1968. He then joined Shell BP, Zambia, before leaving for John Holt (Nig) Ltd in 1976, becoming Group Managing Director in 1986 and later, Chairman, a position he has held from 2001 to date.

Nnamdi Okonkwo

Mr. Nnamdi John Okonkwo has served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since May 16, 2016. He served as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Company between February 2014 and May 2, 2016. Within the Company, he started serving as Executive Director of South Directorate on April 1, 2012. He attended the Wesley High School, Otukpo, from 1977 to 1982, and obtained a Bachelors degree in Agriculture from the University of Benin in 1989. He also obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree in Banking and Finance from Enugu State University in 2008. He commenced his working career at Merchant Bank of Africa Limited as Executive Trainee where he worked between April 1990 and March 1993. He went over to Guaranty Trust Bank Plc where he worked between 1993 and 1998 in different categories such as Account Officer, Branch Manager, Port Harcourt and Branch Manager, Onitsha. He was the Regional Manager (Lagos) of Citizens Bank Limited between February 2000 and December 2001. In December 2001, he joined Broad Bank of Nigeria Limited as Group Head, (Institutional Banking) December 2001 and August 2002; Group Head (Business Development) August 2002 and August 2003; General Manager/Divisional Head (Commercial and Consumer Banking) August 2003 and July 2004). He was the General Manager/Bank Head, Standard Trust Bank Plc from July 2004 to August 2005 and from January 2006 to October 2006. He was Project Director (Branch Roll Out) UBA Plc between October 2006 and December 2006. He was Regional Director (Federal Capital Territory). Between September 2009 and March 2012, he was the Divisional Head (Corporate Banking) of the bank. He joined the Company in April 2012. He has served on the Board of UBA Ghana; UBA Liberia; Nigeria e Government Strategy; Ghana National Banking College, Ghana. He has attended several courses both within and outside Ghana.

Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Balarabe has served as Deputy Managing Director, Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since May 16, 2016. He served as Interim Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer; Executive Director, Commercial & Consumer Banking, North of the Company between May 2, 2016 and May 16, 2016. He served as Executive Director, Commercial & Consumer Banking, North of the Company between April 1, 2012 and May 2, 2016. He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance from Nottingham Trent University, the United Kingdom, as well as a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Lagos. A dealing Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange since 1992, he was an Executive Director with the former Oceanic Bank Plc. He was also a General Manager in the United Bank for Africa (UBA) and had been the General Manager and Chief Executive of Newdevco Finance Services Company Limited. He has over 24 years of banking experience across business portfolios in banking.

Mr. Adeyeye Olawale Adepegba has served as Executive Director, Corporate Banking of Fidelity Bank Plc since September 3, 2015. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Lancaster University Management School, Lancaster University, United Kingdom (Merit) a Master’s degree in Industrial & Labor Relations (MILR) as well as a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Prior to his appointment, Adeyeye was the General Manager/Group Head, Power & infrastructure, Corporate Banking Division at the bank. Some of the transactions he effectively executed include: Origination and consummation of the $25.5 million non-recourse Project Finance 12.5 MW Independent Power Plant for the Lagos State Water Corporation; Origination and risk assessment of the $151 million 120 kilometre Gas Pipelines Infrastructure by Gasland Nigeria Limited, operators of the VI, Lekki, Epe Gas distribution concession by NNPC (PPP) etc. A banker with 26 years post qualification experience in business origination, Adepegba will bring to bear his strong leadership, organizational and relationship management skills to meet the long-term goals and objectives of the Bank.

Aku Odinkemelu

Mrs. Aku Pauline Odinkemelu has served as Executive Director, Commercial & Consumer Banking, South of Fidelity Bank Plc since October 2, 2014. She holds a B. Sc. degree from the University of Lagos, LLB from University of Nigeria Nsukka and BL from the Nigeria Law School, Lagos. She is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) from Harvard Business School. Until her appointment with Fidelity Bank Plc, Aku, who comes with over 25 years’ experience in various areas of banking was the Divisional Head, South East/South South, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. She also served in the capacity of a Non-Executive Director in Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Sierra Leone and Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc. She had worked with Access Bank Plc, former Equitorial Trust Bank Limited and Continental Merchant Bank Plc. Aku brings with her great possibilities and prospects for the Bank and more specifically for the transformation of the Company’s business in South Bank.

Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe

Mrs. Nneka Chinwe Onyeali-Ikpe has served as Executive Director, Commercial & Consumer Banking, Lagos & South-West of Fidelity Bank Plc since September 3, 2015. She has extensive industry experience in Retail/Commercial Treasury and Corporate Banking spanning over 24 years, having at various times, held middle, senior and executive management positions. Prior to her appointment, Nneka was an Executive Director at Enterprise Bank where she successfully set up the Retail Banking Group using the segmentation framework with a Risk Asset portfolio in excess of N5 billion within one year. Recognizing the importance of Small Medium Enterprises in the country’s economic growth equation, Onyeali-Ikpe successfully established the SME Group for Enterprise Bank with a Risk Asset portfolio in excess of N45 billion within a year and half using carefully designed product papers tailored towards specific target segments. Nneka who holds Bachelors of Law (LLB) and Masters of Law (LLM) degrees from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Kings College, Cambridge, respectively.

Mrs. Chijoke Ugochukwu has served as Executive Director, Shared Services & Products of Fidelity Bank Plc since April 1, 2012. She also serves as Member of the Company’s Corporate Strategy and Business Development Committee. She was General Manager, Legal Services and Company Secretary of the Bank. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and a degree from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos. She also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa (IESE), Barcelona, Spain. She is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Nigeria and has more than 21 years of industry experience. He was at various times MD of Coca-Cola English West Africa based in Ghana (2001); the first African MD/CEO and Executive Vice Chairman of Guinness Ghana Plc (2006), Group MD/CEO Diageo East Africa based in Kenya (2009) and until December 2014, MD/CEO of Guinness Nigeria Plc and Executive Chairman Diageo Brands Nigeria. He has considerable expertise in commercial, financial and governance best practices, gained from his experience with Diageo in the UK and leadership development programs with Coca-Cola in the US. A great marketer renowned for championing innovation in the FMCG’s, he was named Runner Up Forbes/CNBC Business Leader/CEO of the Year 2012 in East Africa. Chief Adetu, Founder/Group CEO of First Primus W.A. Limited, an upscale Integrated Marketing Communications company, is a Leadership Coach and facilitates on the Chief Executive Program of the Lagos Business School. He is a Chemical Engineering graduate and an MBA holder (with specialization in Marketing), both from the University of Lagos.

Robert Nnana-Kalu

Mr. Robert Nnana-Kalu has served as Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since July 2012. He holds an M.A. in International Relations as well as a Bachelor of Laws from University of Kent, at Canterbury Canterbury, Kent, England. He also obtained a Master of Laws from Kings College, University of London, England. He practiced law in the firm of Chief K.K. Ogba Chambers, Owerri, before joining Star Paper Mills Limited, Aba, as Manager, Legal Services & Corporate Affairs. He rose to the position of Executive Director in the company in 1995 a position he holds till date. From 2001 to 2005, Mr Nnana-Kalu was the Chairman of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) in Imo/Abia Chapter, as well as a National Council member of the association.

Mr. Alex Chinelo Ojukwu has served as Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since December 15, 2014. He holds a Bachelors degree in Finance from Ogun State University, and an MBA from the Federal University of Technology Akure. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB), and a Member of the Institute of Risk Management UK, he has over 25 years work experience spanning Banking, Control & Audit, Marketing, Power, Mining, Steel, Risk and Manufacturing. Mr. Ojukwu, who is the Managing Director of Afro Asia Automobile & Plastics Limited was an Executive Director, Risk Management, Western Goldfields Group Limited and also the founder and Managing Partner of Damos Practice – Risk Management Consultants, after disengaging from Bank PHB Plc (now Keystone Bank Limited) as Assistant Vice President in charge of Remedial Assets Management.

Ezechukwu Okeke

Mr. Ezechukwu Michael Okeke has served as Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since December 15, 2014. He graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1997 with a B. Sc. in Estate Management. He is an adept Estate Surveyor with professional specialization in Property Valuation, Project Finance, Procurement & Syndication, Asset Management, Valuation of Aviation and Navigation installations including aircraft, ships and vessels. He is currently the Managing Partner of Sun Oriala & Co, an estate management firm, a position he has held since 2009.

Gabriel Olowoniyi

Mr. Gabriel Kayode Olowoniyi has served as Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since April 1, 2009. He also serves as Member of the Company’s Risk Management Committee, Corporate Strategy and Business Development Committee. He has served as Member of the Company’s Remuneration Committee since April 2011, and served as Member of the Company’s Audit Committee until March 2011. He is Alumnus of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti and the Institute of Chattered Secretaries and Administrators, London. A Chartered Secretary and Administrator, he is currently Director of Amazing Inspiration Media Limited, among other companies.

Ichie Orazulike

Mr. Ichie Nnaeto Orazulike has served as Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since March 10, 2009. He also serves as Member of the Company’s Credit Committee, Corporate Strategy and Business Development Committee, and Standing Committee. He has also served as Member of the Company’s Remuneration Committee since March 10, 2009. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He began his private business in 1993, when he started Genesis Foods Limited, a catering services company. His chain of other businesses includes Orazulike Trading Company Limited, Stanchions Nigeria Limited and Genesis Deluxe Cinemas Limited.

Umar Yahaya

Mallam Umar Yahaya serves as Non-Executive Director of Fidelity Bank Plc. He also serves as Member of the Company’s Credit Committee and as Chairman of the Company’s Remuneration Committee and Corporate Strategy and Business Development Committee. He holds a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He has a diploma in Management from Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts, and an Executive Management Diploma in Strategy and Organization from Stanford Business School, the United States. He was Executive Director at First Bank of Nigeria Plc and Managing Director/Chief Executive at New Africa Merchant Bank (NAMB) from 1992 to 1997.

Alhaji Bashari Mohammed Gumel has served as Independent Director of Fidelity Bank Plc since February 15, 2010. He also serves as Member of the Company’s Standing Committee and Corporate Strategy and Business Development Committee. He is Alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He holds a post graduate diploma in Public and Social Administration from the South Devon Technical College, Torquay, England. He began his career as Civil Servant in 1968 and rose to the position of Permanent Secretary, which he held until 1980, when he ventured into private business. He has sat on the board of several companies and is currently Chairman of Jafa Foam Products Limited.
