Previously, he co-founded Digene Corporation, or Digene, a publicly traded biotechnology company focused on women’s health and molecular diagnostic testing that was sold to Qiagen, N.V. in 2007. He served as chairman of Digene’s board of directors from 1995 to 2007, as Digene’s chief executive officer from 1990 to 2006, and as Digene’s president from 1990 to 1999. Mr. Jones is a member of the board of directors of CAS Medical Systems, Inc., a developer of patient vital signs monitoring products and technologies, and Veracyte, Inc., a private venture-backed company developing molecular tests to improve the diagnostic accuracy of cytology samples.
