Name Description
Rowley, Martin Martin R. Rowley is Chairman of the Board, Independent Director of Forsys Metals Corp. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1975. After starting his career as an accountant working in both Australia and England he joined the Bond Group of Companies in Australia as executive assistant to the Board of Directors in 1980. Mr. Rowley has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, the past 11 years with First Quantum Minerals Ltd (“FQM”) (TSX:FM)(LSE:FQM) since co-founding the company in 1996. He served as FQM's CFO and as a Director until January 2007 when he assumed the role of Executive Director, Business Development.
Hilmer, Marcel Mr. Marcel Hilmer has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Director of Forsys Metals Corp. with effect from February 8, 2010. Mr. Hilmer, currently a business development executive with First Quantum Minerals Limited has experience in the mining sector and a career spanning more than 25 years in senior management positions with international organizations.
Bamford, Craig Craig Bamford is Chief Financial Officer of Forsys Metals Corporation since March 2008. Mr. Bamford is a Chartered Accountant and experienced CFO who brings more than 25 years of finance background relating to project management and controls, financial reporting and controls, treasury and capital management, risk management, due diligence and business development. He has 22 years of experience in the uranium industry and was previously the CFO for Denison Energy Inc., formerly Denison Mines Limited, a North American uranium producer. He is Vice- President and Controller, Entertainment One Income Fund from 2005 to 2007; Financial Consultant from 2004 to 2005; Chief Financial Officer of Denison Energy Inc. (formerly Denison Mines Limited) from 2000 until 2004.
Estepa, Jorge Mr. Jorge Estepa is Corporate Secretary of Forsys Metals Corporation since April 2004; Director of the Company from April 2004 until March 2006; Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of: (i) Northfield Metals Inc. from 1995; (ii) NFX Gold Inc. from 1996 to 2008; (iii) Eloro Resources Ltd. from 1997; and (iv) Champion Minerals Inc. from March 2006.
Parnham, Duane Mr. Duane Parnham is Executive Director, Business Development, Director of Forsys Metals Corp. He resigned as President and CEO of the company on February 8, 2010. He served as President, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director of Temex Resources Corp. since its creation in 1996 until January 2005. He has a record of success in geological and environmental consultation, corporate development, and regulatory compliance for publicly listed companies and in corporate finance to the junior mining industry. During his career, Mr. Parnham was a co-founder of Westport, a co-founder of Beatty Franz & Associates, an environmental consulting firm and the Regional Laboratory Manager for Overburden Drilling Management. He currently maintains a Board positions with Forsys Metals Corp (FSY-TSXV). Mr. Parnham's experience with corporate finance and broker professionals gives him access to capital and market participation in securities trading. Over the past 18 months Mr. Parnham has assisted in raising in excess of $10 million CDN for the companies in which he holds a Directors position.
Frewin, Mark Mr. Mark Frewin is Director - Legal Affairs, Director of Forsys Metals Corporation since June 2007; Partner, McCarthy Tétrault LLP (Law Firm) since January 2005; Partner, Pitmans (Law Firm) 2004; Partner Hunton & Williams LLP (Law Firm) from 2000 until 2004.
Laine, Roger Dr. Roger Laine is Chief Geologist of Forsys Metals Corp. He had served as Director of Forsys Metals Corp. Until Nov. 5, 2009. Prior to that Bruce held a number of progressive positions in manufacturing, design and marketing within the automotive industry with both the Ford Motor Company and Chrysler. In addition to his professional accomplishments Mr. Hall has also been instrumental in elevating the profile and sponsorship revenues of The Foundation for Fighting Blindness working closely with the founding members.
Buchan, Bob Mr. Bob Buchan is Non-Executive Director of Forsys Metals Corp. Mr. Buchan, a mining engineer and benefactor of the Queen's University Buchan Department of Mines, sits on several boards and has over 35 years of experience in the global mining sector. Mr. Buchan currently serves as Executive Chairman of Allied Nevada Corporation. He has significant African experience having previously operated as Chairman of Extract Resources Limited and as founding Chairman of Katanga Mining Limited. Mr. Buchan was the founding President and CEO of Kinross Gold Corporation and built the company to be the seventh largest gold producer in the world.
Matysek, Paul Mr. Paul Frank Matysek is an Independent Director of Forsys Metals Corp. Mr. Matysek is the former President, CEO and co-founder of Energy Metals Corporation which was recently purchased by Uranium One Inc in a deal valued at over $1 billion. He is a professional geoscientist with a Masters of Science degree in Geology. With over 25 years of domestic and international experience, he is a recognized entrepreneur and has held senior management and/or director positions with several Canadian firms as well as other natural resource exploration and development companies in addition to Energy Metals Corporation. He is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. Mr. Matysek is currently also a non-executive director of Wealth Minerals Ltd.
