Biographies

Name Description
Lombard, Didier Mr. Didier Lombard serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at France Telecom SA since February 27, 2005. He is also Chairman of the Strategy Committee. He currently serves as Director at Thomson and Thales. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of Technologies, Strategic Partnerships and New Usages in April 2003. He began his career in France Telecom’s Research & Development division in 1967 where he worked on developing a number of new products for France Telecom in relation to satellite and wireless systems. From 1988 to 1990, he was Scientific and Technical Director at the Ministry of Research and Technology and then he acted as General Manager of Industrial Strategy at the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Industry from 1991 to 1998. Prior to his nomination, Mr. Lombard also served as an ambassador for international investment for several years and was Chairman of the French agency for international investment. He is also Member of the Supervisory Boards of STMicroelectronics and Radial. Mr. Lombard is an Officer of the French National Order of the Legion of Honor and a Commander of the French National Order of Merit. He graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications in Paris and Ecole Polytechnique.
Roulet, Marcel Mr. Marcel Roulet serves as Honorary Chairman of France Telecom SA since February 25, 2003, having served as Chairman from 1991 to 1995. He is also Chairman of the Remuneration, Nominating and Governance Committee of the Company. Mr. Roulet was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thomson S.A. from February 1996 to March 1997, and of Thomson CSF (now Thales) from February 1996 to January 1998. Pellissier, Gervais Mr. Gervais Pellissier serves as Deputy Managing Director at France Telecom SA since March 2, 2009 and is in charge of Finance and Group Informations Systems. He previously served as Senior Executive Vice President of Finance and Spain for France Telecom SA. He joined the Company in October 2005 to supervise the integration of France Telecom's businesses in Spain and advise on geographic integration within the Group. Richard, Stephane Mr. Stephane Richard serves as Deputy Managing Director Operations France at France Telecom SA since October 5, 2009. Previously, he was Member of the Board of Directors of the Company. He has been Executive Vice President of Veolia Environnement and the Managing Director of Veolia Transport. He was Inspector of Finances from 1987 until 1991. From 1991 until 1992, he served as Technical Advisor to the Cabinet of the Vice-Minister, Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, at the Ministry of Industry and External Trade. Penalver, Georges Mr. Georges Penalver serves as Senior Executive Vice President of Group Strategy and Development at France Telecom SA since March 2, 2009. He previously served as Senior Executive Vice President of the Company in charge of Group Strategic Marketing, Home Communication Services and Orange Labs. Throughout this period, he participated in the mass development of mobile and internet services. He graduated from Ecole Nationale Superieure d'Arts et Metiers in 1974 and Ecole Nationale Superieure de Telecommunications in 1980.
Vanot, Jean-Philippe Mr. Jean-Philippe Vanot serves as Senior Executive Vice President at France Telecom SA in charge of Group Innovation and Marketing, Orange Labs and the Technocenter since March 2, 2009. He had previously served as Senior Executive Vice President of Group Networks and Information Systems of France Telecom SA since 2006. Barberot, Olivier Mr. Olivier Barberot serves as Senior Executive Vice President of Group Human Resources and Poland at France Telecom SA since 2006. He was appointed Senior Executive Vice President of Development and Optimization of Human Competencies in March 2003 under the Ambition FT 2005 Plan and was named Head of Management Networks and Internal Communication in March 2004. Swantee, Olaf Mr. Olaf Swantee serves as Senior Executive Vice President of Personal Communication Services, Europe and Egypt at France Telecom SA since March 2, 2009. He was previously Senior Vice President at Hewlett-Packard, responsible for enterprise sales and software in Europe Middle East and Africa. Lambert, Marie-Christine Ms. Marie Christine Lambert serves as Group Controller at France Telecom SA since November 3, 2008. She began her career in 1975 and successively held several financial positions in the industry, IT services and telecommunication sectors. She joined France Telecom SA in 1992, as Central Director, Telesystems, IT services companies, before she became Chief Financial Officer for Orange mobile activities, first for France from 1997 to 2003 and then for the Group between 2003 and 2006. Haignere, Claudie Ms. Claudine Haignere serves as Member of the Board of Directors at France Telecom SA since May 21, 2007. She is also Member of the Company's Strategic Committee. Duran, Jose Mr. Jose Luis Duran serves as Member of the Board of Directors at France Telecom SA since February 5, 2008. He is also Member of the Company's Strategic Committee. He started his career in 1987 at Arthur Andersen.
