Name Description
Wilderotter, Mary Mary Agnes Wilderotter is Chairman of the Board, President, Chief Executive Officer of Frontier Communications Corporation. She has served as a Director since September 2004. She has served as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer since November 2004 and as the company's Chairman of the Board since December 2005. Prior to joining the company, she was Senior Vice President—World Wide Public Sector of Microsoft Corp. from February 2004 to November 2004 and Senior Vice President—Worldwide Business Strategy of Microsoft Corp. from 2002 to 2004. From 1997 to 2002, she was President and Chief Executive Officer of Wink Communications, an interactive telecommunications and media company. Mrs. Wilderotter is a Director of Xerox Corporation and Yahoo!, Inc.
Shassian, Donald Donald R. Shassian has been with Frontier Communications Corporation since April 2006. He is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer from April 2006 to February 2008. Prior to joining Frontier, Mr. Shassian had been an independent consultant since 2001 primarily providing M&A advisory services to several organizations in the communications industry. Former FCC Commissioner Kathleen Quinn Abernathy was appointed to the Board of Directors of Frontier Communications Corporation in April 2006. Ms. Abernathy is a partner in the Washington, D.C. communications law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP where she advises clients on a wide variety of legal, policy and regulatory issues related to telecommunications and media. Prior to that, she was a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP. Immediately prior to joining Akin Gump, Ms. Abernathy served as a Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission. Nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate to a four-year term in 2001, she was responsible for representing the public interest in each of the policy areas under the FCC's jurisdiction including wireless; domestic and international telecommunications; satellite; broadcast; cable; communications equipment manufacturers; and broadband, IP and other advanced communications technologies. Before joining the FCC as a commissioner, Ms. Abernathy served as Vice President, Public Policy at BroadBand Office Communications, as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs at US West and as Vice President, Federal Regulatory at AirTouch Communications (a predecessor company to Verizon Wireless). Ms. Abernathy received her B.A. magna cum laude from Catholic University and her J.D. from Catholic University's Columbus School of Law.
Larson, Robert Robert J. Larson has been with Frontier Communications Corporation since July 2000. He was elected Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of Frontier in December 2002. Arndt, Ken Mr. Ken Arndt has been appointed as Senior Vice President, General Manager - Southeast Region of Frontier Communications Corporation effective January 2010. Mr. Arndt joined Frontier in October 2003 as State Vice President and General Manager for the Southeast Territory. In January 2005 he became State Vice President and General Manager of Frontier's New York Region. In June 2005, he became Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the East Region and then Vice President and General Manager of its Pennsylvania operations, a position he held until March 2008 when he was promoted to Senior Vice President/General Manager, Call Center Sales & Service. Arndt is responsible for all call center operations for the company, including sales and service to residential and business customers, Internet customer support, and employee training and management of Frontier's virtual Work-At-Home center; call centers in DeLand, Florida, Burnsville, Minnesota, and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and an Operator Services center in Rochester, New York. Before joining Frontier, Arndt was Vice President of Marketing for Lucent Technologies and before that, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Commonwealth Telephone Company in Pennsylvania. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and an Master of Business Administration in Marketing from St. John College, Middlesex School of Business, in London.
Kraus, William William M. Kraus has served as a Director of Frontier Communications Corporation since July 2002. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kraus was a Director of Century Communications Corp. and Centennial Cellular Corp. from 1985 to 1999.
Ward, David David H. Ward has served as a Director of Frontier Communications Corporation since May 2003. Mr. Ward has been Treasurer of Voltarc Technologies, Inc., a specialty lamp manufacturer, since 2007 and was Chief Financial Officer of Voltarc from 2001 to 2007.
